Chapter 161

The peaceful days didn't last long. Early in the morning, before Calliope could finish her breakfast, Mia barged into Calliope's room.

"What are you doing in my room, Miss Moore? I'm not even here," Calliope followed her in, seeing Mia's anxious face.

"Calliope, it's bad. Those people called me again, asking me to go to the SK International Hotel," Mia said nervously, clutching Calliope's hand, looking lost.

"These people, I told you, once you start giving them money, they'll keep extorting you," Calliope frowned, pulling Mia to sit down and asked Jenny to guard the door. She needed to think about how to deal with these people and stop them from tormenting Mia with that stuff.

It's one thing if they wanted money, but they also wanted to humiliate people. Calliope hated such people the most!

"Calliope, you have to help me think of a way. You're the only one I can turn to now," Mia looked at Calliope, tears almost falling.

"Enough, shut up!" Calliope snapped. Her mind was a mess, and Mia's crying was making it worse.

At Calliope's shout, Mia immediately closed her mouth, leaving only sobs in her throat.

Calliope thought, to stop these people from causing trouble and to restore peace to Mia's life, the only way was to eliminate all the compromising photos and videos.

But those people, besides wanting money, she had seen them, all with tattoos, clearly gang members, possibly desperados. If they couldn't get what they wanted, it might provoke them, and neither she nor Mia would get out unscathed.

"Do you know where they usually hang out?" Calliope asked the pitifully crying Mia, frowning.

"Bars."

"Which bar, do you know?" Calliope asked patiently. Even a fool knew these people had nowhere to go but bars and nightclubs.

"I don't know." Mia shook her head. She hadn't gone many times, but each time they went to different places.

"Call them, say you have the money ready, and ask where to meet." Calliope decided. She would know the situation once they met. If these people were just after money, she would deal with them accordingly.

Mia made the call, confirmed which bar they were at, and Calliope sent her home first. She needed to sleep and would deal with it at night.

In the evening, Sylvester called to say he had a social engagement and wouldn't be home for dinner. Calliope and Mia relaxed a bit, told John they were going for a walk, and changed clothes to go out.

Stormy Brews Bar.

Mia was too scared to get out of the car.

"Are you here to solve the problem or to avoid it? I'm telling you, if you don't face it today, there will be more days of torment ahead!" Calliope glared at Mia.

After a long time, Mia finally got out of the car. They followed the information sent to them and found the private room.

"You wait outside. Don't come in unless I call you," Calliope instructed the bodyguard who came with them, then took Mia inside.

"The pregnant woman is here."

As soon as they entered, Peter glanced at Calliope's belly, his mind filled with dirty thoughts.

Looking at Peter's lecherous eyes, Calliope felt nauseous.

"Tell me, what will it take for you to hand over all the negatives and photos?" Calliope got straight to the point, not wanting to waste words.

Peter walked up to Mia, lifting her chin, "Mia, did I say you could come alone?"

"Let go of me, get lost!" Mia, perhaps emboldened by Calliope, slapped Peter's hand away.

"So arrogant! If you're so arrogant, why are you here? You can ignore those things, after all, the Moore family has money."

Money, money, money. Calliope watched Peter talk about money and felt even more that they couldn't easily give them money. She was sure these people were after money. If they didn't give them money, they could delay for a while. But she didn't have money, and this couldn't be known by others. Where would the money come from?

Mia was about to speak but was stopped by Calliope. Calliope smiled and said to Peter, "How about we make a deal?"

Peter threw away his cigarette butt and said, "No money, no talk!"

She knew it, money again.

"It's a money deal. I'll pay, and you give me the stuff. Consider it a purchase, okay?" Calliope smiled lightly. She had dealt with people like them before.

Peter smiled, took a step forward, and stared into Calliope's eyes, "Give me another million dollars, and I promise not to leak these things."

Did he think she was that easy to fool?
