Chapter 167

Sports car, how did Sylvester know about the sports car? Could it be that Mia confessed everything? No, impossible, Mia wouldn't sell herself out for a sports car, but what if she did?

"Sports car? What sports car? I don't know anything about it." Calliope decided to play dumb, refusing to admit anything. She thought Sylvester wouldn't have any proof.

"Mia already told me, and what do you think about this transfer document?" Sylvester said, pulling out a document from his pocket. It was indeed the transfer document for the sports car.

Calliope was stunned by Sylvester's words, not knowing what to say. How should she explain this? She didn't know what Mia had said, and if she said something wrong, Sylvester wouldn't believe anything they said.

"Speak up, what is the sports car for?" Sylvester pressed again.

Calliope still didn't say anything. Seeing that Calliope was determined not to speak, Sylvester smirked and loosened his pocket. "Since you don't want to talk, don't blame me for being rough!"

"What are you going to do, Sylvester? You can't do this!" Calliope watched as Sylvester loosened his tie and approached her. She immediately held her stomach and backed away.

"Why can't I? Haven't I always been a scumbag in your eyes?" Sylvester continued to approach, showing Calliope through his actions that if she didn't tell the truth, he would take action.

"You can't, I'm carrying your child, you can't hurt the baby, you can't!" Calliope continued to back away, fearing that this heartless man would really harm her and the baby.

But Sylvester had already grabbed her and was tearing at her clothes. "If you want to save your life, tell the truth."

"Okay, okay, I'll talk." Calliope had always doubted Sylvester's humanity. Seeing no way out, she had to tell the truth to protect the baby.

"You better tell the truth. If you lie again, you know what will happen." Sylvester said, pulling up Calliope's clothes and then looking at her with a grim face.

Seeing that Sylvester could do such inhumane things, Calliope thought it over and decided to tell the truth to protect herself and the baby.

But Calliope stared at Sylvester and set a condition: "I promised Mia not to tell anyone."

"Just because of that sports car? Now I'm really curious what you used that sports car for. Are you planning to run away with my child?" Sylvester asked with a sinister smile. Calliope, if you want to leave the Moore family, you can forget about it for the rest of your life. Unless you die, you will stay by my side and be tormented by me forever.

Damn it, he mentioned the sports car again. Calliope was about to go crazy. It was just about making some money by helping someone out. Did he have to be so persistent and ask from beginning to end? Was he really that petty?

"The sports car was just for fun, and I promise to tell you, but you have to promise not to tell anyone and keep it a secret for us!" Calliope shifted the topic and set her condition.

Sylvester agreed, but just because he agreed didn't mean he couldn't go back on his word. He agreed readily!

Seeing Sylvester agree so quickly, and considering it was his sister's matter, he probably wouldn't spread it around. So, Calliope told Sylvester everything.

After hearing Calliope's account, Sylvester warned her that it better be the truth, or he wouldn't be kind to her.

Thinking about what Sylvester had just done to her, Calliope cursed him in her heart but was still scared. If Sylvester really lost control and raped her, her dignity would be ruined.

Watching Sylvester leave, Calliope finally breathed a sigh of relief.

But Calliope clearly underestimated Sylvester's ability to go back on his word. As soon as he left Calliope's room, he hurried upstairs.

Upstairs, Mia thought the matter was resolved and was finally able to get a good night's sleep. She soaked comfortably in the bathtub in the bathroom, then lay on the bed and just closed her eyes when she heard footsteps, startling her.

Could it be that the supernatural event in Calliope's room was happening in her room? Thinking of this, Mia immediately shrank her entire body under the covers, her nerves tense, listening intently.

Seeing the door was ajar, Sylvester walked straight in, and the footsteps continued. Under the covers, Mia's heart raced, and she held her breath, not daring to make a sound. She suddenly remembered someone saying that ghosts could sense human breath and would disappear quickly if you held your breath.

Thinking of this, Mia held her breath and listened for any movement. After a while, just as she was about to run out of breath, the footsteps stopped.

It seemed this method worked. She could try it again if she got scared in the future.

Hearing the footsteps disappear, Mia relaxed and pulled the covers off her head. But as soon as she opened her eyes, she saw a grim face staring at her.

"Ah! No, don't hurt me, I didn't do anything, don't hurt me!" Mia screamed, waving her hands in the air.

Sylvester frowned, turned on the bedside lamp, and shouted angrily, "Get up!"

He spoke? How could a ghost speak?

But wait, that voice sounded familiar. Was it Sylvester?

Sylvester, wasn't he scarier than a ghost?

"What, do I need to pry your eyes open?" Sylvester said coldly, seeing Mia still had her eyes closed.

Frightened by Sylvester's harsh tone, Mia opened her eyes and looked at him in horror. "Sylvester, you scared me to death. I thought the thing from Calliope's room was happening in my room."

"Who are those people? Speak!" Sylvester ignored her words and asked fiercely.

This question threw Mia into a panic. "Those people? What people, Sylvester, what are you talking about?"

"Are you still playing dumb?" Sylvester looked at Mia, wishing he could slap her. A pure girl had been defiled like this, and Mia still had such high self-esteem.

Playing dumb? Could it be that Calliope had told Sylvester everything? Mia frowned.

"After doing such a thing, you still have the nerve to let others clean up your mess. You don't deserve to be part of the Moore family!" Sylvester shouted at Mia.
