Chapter 101- Going Through the Motions

“Why the change of heart?”. I need to know what has changed to understand the next steps I need to take. I was clear that I needed to make sure I didn’t repeat past mistakes.
He opened his mouth and then closed it, but nothing was coming out when it was opened. He did that a couple of times and sighed like he had no choice but to tell me. I could feel he was about to lie when my powers started to activate.
But when he spoke, my powers didn’t react once and left me stunned. “I found my fated mate and we-we are.. Umm… expecting”, he responded, looking at the ground. I stood back, not being able to hold my composure. I walked out of the room trying to catch myself.
I heard steps approaching and looked up to see who it was. “Muñeca, are you OK?” he said with concern in his tone. Lei mind-linked and growled to Xazul, “BUCKET NOW!!”. I heard CJ retreat and quickly returned to me. I began to puke in the bucket. CJ rubbed my back as I puked.
It surprised me how I was feeling after listening to Cecel. After I puked I felt a whole lot better. CJ had someone bring me a mouth wash and some water. “Could I please get some fresh watermelon please?” I asked CJ. Before I knew it, CJ had them bring me the whole watermelon and I felt refreshed.
I cut the day short and headed into my office with CJ and our dads. “Bring me the copy of the footage. I want to go over again what he said” I ordered my warrior. Warrior returned fast and I didn’t waste any time. I set it on my computer and replayed it with everyone staying silent.
After an hour, CJ made me take a break. Once the break was over, the first thing I did was talk about what Cecel confessed to me. “What is your opinion about this revelation?”. It took a moment, but they began to speak. First one to give their opinions was dad. “I think we could get more out of him about this ‘Master’ guy. I just don’t know what to think about why things went wrong with us”. His voice got shaky at the end.
Everyone kept speaking up and giving their opinions on the new information. Everyone was just stunned by how compliant Cecel was speaking to me and being so honest and vulnerable. He really left everyone stunned. I noticed how pops hadn’t given his opinion yet when he finally spoke up.
“It is kind of hard not to feel for the guy. And I understand he is speaking the truth, but it doesn’t change what he has done” Angel spoke up. “Something has changed. Actually, everything had changed with his confession. No, it doesn't excuse his actions, but this new information needs to be considered” I spoke out. “I must have another conversation with him before we make any decisions about his fate”, I said to everyone.
They nodded in understanding and agreement. “Let’s call it a day and continue tomorrow at 8” I let everyone know. It was already past 6, and I wanted to eat and spend time with my babies. Tonight, everyone left after dinner, and I got to relax with my pups and my mate.

I know everything from today was taking a toll on Lexy. I mind-linked everyone as we were heading to eat dinner and asked them to leave after dinner. They understood and did as I asked them. We bathed the kids and took them with us to our bed at Lexy’s request.
We put Monsters Inc on the tv, and we all cuddled in bed. The giggle from the kids took over the whole room. Halfway through the movie, Lexy asked for fruit to snack on. Lala was still recovering and in bedrest by Doc’s orders. Had no choice but to get it myself, which I didn’t mind.
I went into the kitchen and made a fruit bowl for her of all the fruits we had and a cup of juice. I also made chocolate milk bottles for the kids along with a couple of different snacks for us to enjoy with the movie. I set everything on the tray and went back into our room.
When the kids noticed the tray of snacks, they immediately jumped off the bed trying to get at me. “Come on pups. Let papi get on the bed” Lexy spoke to them. They immediately listened to her and waited for me. I placed the tray in the middle of everyone and continued to enjoy movie night.
We played 2 more movies when everyone fell asleep. Lexy was the first one after finishing her fruit bowl. The kids cuddled around her and pulled on my arm to wrap them around. Before I fell asleep, I could feel the warmth the kids were radiating as they slept. It feels like they are releasing love.

The next morning, I felt like a brand-new woman. The first thing I noticed was everyone sleeping on me. The feeling I was feeling popped a thought into my head. My kids played a big part in what type of queen I always want to be. I slowly got up to go use the bathroom. The moment I got out, everyone was awake waiting for me.
“Good morning my babies” I said as I approached the bed. I kissed them all and then tickled them. CJ helped with the tickling. After we got ready and the kids ready, our moms walked in to take over. I went to see Lala first and then headed to the conference room before heading to the interrogation room.
Lala was getting stronger, but we had to fight with her to keep her in bedrest. She is a stubborn lady. After making sure she was taken care of we began our day at the office. After an hour of the meeting, we headed back to the interrogation room. I hope I can get what I need to make a decision.
