Chapter 42- The Unknown Pack
Lexy
The next day I was up early and ready to help with the interrogation. CJ was still sleeping, and I decided to go down for breakfast. When I got to the kitchen Sheera was already there making breakfast. She looked at me and smiled my way. “Good morning” I said as I smiled at her. “Good morning. Did you sleep well?” I nodded yes to her question. “Can I help with something?” “Don’t worry mija, I’m almost done. You sit back and relax” she ushered me to sit. We chit-chatted while she finished breakfast and then sat down with me with our plates.
While halfway through breakfast all the guys came in at the same time. Sheera and I began to chuckle. CJ walked up to me and kissed me on the forehead while Angel did the same thing to Sheera. Then they both went and served themselves breakfast and joined us at the table. We had a good conversations and a couple of laughs. After breakfast CJ and I headed to the prison. We met Alpha Trevor in the hallway by the door of the interrogation room. “Good morning Alpha Trevor” we said in unison. “Good morning. Remember I’m asking the questions, and you reinforce” he gave me a stern look. “Yes, Alpha” I nodded at him. He opened the door, he and I entered.
Alpha Trevor
We entered the interrogation room and I headed to my corner while she stood next to him. I gave a nod, and the guard took the blind folds off. When he could focus, all I heard him say was, ‘FUCK!!’. When I noticed where his focus was I almost laughed. He was glaring at Lexy. “Today you’re talking to me” I used my Alpha command. He had no choice but to look at me. He glared at me while I smirked his way. “Let’s begin. Do you have an idea who could have taken her mom?” I asked in a steady tone. I saw how Lexy placed her hand over his arm, and he immediately stiffened. “I’m pretty sure it has something to do with her father” Zequiel blurred it out before she even started.
“Why her father?” He first hesitated to answer but her powers can’t be beaten. “Umm… He’s a very powerful Alpha with the strongest packkkk’ he screamed out. “What pack?” I asked. He looked away. “WHAT PACK?” I roared at him. Lexy’s eyes began to glow, and he spilled it out. “Is supposed to be a legend. Nobody knows the name or the location of that pack. Tha-that’s all I know” he yelled out. “GET HER OFF ME!!”. She let go of him, but her eyes are still glowing. Something tells me he has more useful information.
I nodded at Lexy, and she placed her hand again. “What else do you need to say about it?” He looked at me and groaned out the answer, “I saw them take her mother”. “What they looked like?” I asked. “Aaa-a guy in a royal suit, and a couple of-couple of huge guards. Nn-never seen soldiers like that” he paused. “I’m speculating it has to do with her. My Alpha has been trying to go to war with him, but every time he sends men to scout, they never return”. With that Lexy let go of Zequiel but he had passed out.
Even though Lexy had let go her eyes kept glowing. I took her out the room and straight into CJ’s arms. I know what the power of fated mates can do. The moment he wrapped her in his arms, she spoke. “We need my father’s book. I think we are closer to the truth, and where everything began”. She snuggled to him and that seemed to calm her. But the whole time she was smiling and that was nice to see.

“Hey Alpha. Can I get the book and the translation with it?” I asked. “Oh yes. It’s in my office ready for you. We can go get it now” he responded back to me. “By the way Lexy, thank you. You’re very strong young woman. I nodded shyly at him. We follow him to his office, and he hands me everything. Of course, CJ won’t let me carry it, so he takes them for me. We said our goodbyes to Alpha Trevor and left the packhouse. CJ surprised me with a trip to the mall and the ladies were waiting there. I really love this wolfman. They took me to buy the first things for the pups.
I don’t know who’s more excited about the pups, myself or the girls. After an hour of being at the mall I told CJ to take me home. I couldn’t stop thinking about the books and what the translation was going to tell me. CJ understood and wasted no time. The ladies understood too and decided to follow us to the house to help. We set up in the family room and began to look through all the things the specialists found. I decided to grab the translated book with CJ while Yarielis looked at the images in the actual book. Ruby and Eva took over the USB drives on their computers. After 2 hours I stood up to make some snacks for everyone. CJ followed me to the kitchen and helped me out. Every chance his hands were free, he would rub my stomach and give me a kiss.
We all got so consumed with the research that we didn’t notice when Sheera was cooking dinner and calling us to go eat. The moment everyone’s nose smelled her cooking, everyone stopped and went straight to the dining room. She was the best mom ever. I decided to start calling her mama Sheera. She seems to love it because she hasn’t stopped smiling at me. We all enjoyed dinner and called it a day. We all agreed to meet up the next day to finish and put all the information together. I was so tired that I went into the room took my clothes off and threw myself on the bed. Last thing I remember before closing my eyes was CJ going into the bathroom.
Next thing I know is already the morning and CJ is waking me up. “My Phoenix. Wake up. Everyone is downstairs”. I jumped at his words, and he chuckled. “Is ok. You did have a long day yesterday”. He kissed me and led me to the bathroom. I took a shower and when I went to get clothes, CJ had laid out a beautiful sundress on the bed. I put it on and head downstairs. Everyone was already hard at work and CJ had a plate of food in his hands for me. “Thank you guys” is all I could say without crying. I sat down and began to eat while they started explaining the finds and how they connect. By the end of it I put my plate on the side and grab the translated binder with the original book. I flipped through the pages until I find what I’m looking for.
I was taking my time because I didn’t want to pass the pages I’m looking for. The moment I found the pages my eyes began to glow. I could tell by the way everyone was looking at me. Next thing I know I speak out. “HOME”.
