Chapter 65- Stronger Pack
Lexy
It has been 2 days since dad told us about my health and CJ hasn’t let me train or walk around. I was feeling suffocated with the way he was handling it and his feelings screaming at the top of his lungs. I’ve had enough and yelled at him. Now I feel bad because I know he’s just worried about me. Yarielis has become like my sister, and she took CJ’s place. I cried to her and told her everything. She cried with me and then went tough.
“Now that we cried is time to man up. Don’t stop being who you are and show CJ that you’re tougher than the credit they are giving you. You proven that time and time again” she said sternly. She was right. I mind-linked CJ and my parents to my room. I sat them down and told them that they needed to stop babying me and to continue preparing for the battle.
“I understood how everyone felt about my health situation, but it will not stop me from being who I am and what needs to be done” I told them sternly. I could tell they understood what I was saying even when their emotions still yelled worried. Everyone left the room leaving CJ and I alone.
CJ
“I know I haven’t been easy to deal with and I’m sorry Lexy” I began to tell her. “I can’t get in my head the idea of not having you and our kids not getting to grow up with you”. She places her hand on my face and gives me the look that always melts my heart. “I love you and our babies. I believe that no matter what happens they will be surrounded by love. I’m also thinking about your family which are my family. I don’t want our people to get hurt either” she gives me a smile while saying this.
“We have to stay strong together and we will get through this” she finished speaking. She kissed me very passionately and I melted right into her. “I’m sorry for not being there for you. I love you my fiery Phoenix” I tell her from the bottom of my heart. I know she can feel it as she holds me tighter. We held each other for a bit longer and I started feeling her warmth and then her breathing was paced.
I looked at her and she fell asleep in my arms. Looking at her like this was amazing but then think about how it can all be taken away. Her face frowned as I was thinking and decided to quit thinking about and just enjoy her which seemed to change her sleep mood again. She was smiling as she snuggled more.
I picked her up and put her on the bed and lay right with her. I ended up taking a nap with her and we were woken up by someone knocking. “Come in” I told the person. It was Xiomara who came in. “Is time for Lexy’s checkup” she spoke low. “Ugh, ok” Lexy responded.
Lexy
I went to the doctor and right now I’m still stable but soon she wants me to bed rest. While I can still go I’m going to continue to train and be involved in the plans. Dr. Bennet gave me more prenatal vitamins and some other vitamins that would strengthen my bones.
Afterward we went into the training ground and went over the new moves and part of the strategy. While out, Lady Marisol brought me some fruits with snacks and juice. “Hey Lady Marisol, can I call you Lala?” I asked her shyly. “Yes ma’am. Can I ask why?” she responded. “Because you love me like a grandma, and I love you like one. And Lala is better than nana” I chuckled as I hug her.
I continued for one more hour and then asked CJ to bring me inside into the family room. He put me down on the comfy couch and he left. A minute later he came in with a tray of my favorite foods along with all my vitamins. I didn’t know you could love someone more, but this man made me fall in love every day.
I noticed that every day the connection with my dad’s pack is getting stronger. CJ gave me news that his family is on their way to us and will be here tomorrow. I was looking forward to it. I really missed mama Sheera. That put me in great spirits, and I was ready to get moving. I wasn’t allowed to train anymore but I can still be involved in the meetings.

“We need to get her before she gives birth. Is everything ready?” I asked my lieutenant. “Will be ready in 2 days my king” he responded. “Not fast enough. Get out of my sight”. The more they open their mouths the more I want to kill. The more time I don’t have her the more time they have to use her against me. I need her powers and I need them now. She would have been mine if Xiomara had stuck around.
Lexy
It was morning and I got up after CJ left with some men to pick up his parents, but Alex had to leave, and Yarielis followed. The pack couldn’t stay without a Beta and Alex was next in line. An hour later CJ finally got back with his parents, and I couldn’t contain my excitement. “Mama I missed you” I yelled as I walked fast to her. “Oh, sweet niña. Look how big you got. I missed you too” she said sweetly while loving me.
I hugged Angel too and he was cheesing. We walked together inside while I wouldn’t stop talking to them. I brought them to the family room and sat between them on the big sofa. I couldn’t stop telling them about my experience in my dad’s pack when dad comes in with mom tagging behind.“Mama Sheera and papa Angel this is my dad Helio and my mom Xiomara” I speak with joy. They were both in shock but shook each other’s hands. “Did you say that’s your mom?” asked mama Sheera. I looked at her face and noticed we didn’t let them know we found her.
