Chapter 80- Tranquility
Lexy
Another month and nothing about Pokine or Cecel. I was getting very irritated, and everyone could notice. I do good by my pack but don’t stay around people too long. CJ was trying everything he could to keep me centered, but he knew what needed to be done for me to calm down.
I try my best to leave all the frustrations in my training. There are times when no matter how much I train, I still feel irritated. I decided today to go to the sacred grounds to look around and have some time away from everyone. But of course, I wasn’t going to be left fully alone since CJ goes everywhere I go, and my guards are never too far away.
Stepping into the sacred grounds gave me a feeling of being centered. The moment I stepped into the center I saw and felt clarity and pure peacefulness.
CJ
I was left stunned at what happened the moment Lexy stepped into the center of the sacred grounds. Her whole body glowed like a beacon light. She was radiating warmth and tranquility. Her eyes glowed, but it was different from her usual orange glow. Is pure green glow while she smiled.
The whole ground flourished with grass and flowers. She sat down and crossed her legs like she was setting herself for meditating. I just watched her doing her thing and couldn’t help feel fascinated. The longer she sat there the brighter the atmosphere became.
I picked up familiar scents behind me and when I turned around I saw her guards on their hands and knees bowing to her. I was left in shock with the scene. They had been keeping their distance and watching in hiding, but they showed themselves for her. I looked back at her and her eyes were open and still glowing green.
I was looking at her and kept asking myself why I was so calm with her in that state for that long. I wasn’t sure how long she had been there, but I know a lot of time has passed. I took a step into the circle and the warmth intensified. I became distracted with the warmth and never saw when Lexy stood up and walked towards me.
When I noticed her she grabbed my face, and I was taken aback. Next thing I know we are back to normal but is night and the guards have turned on lanterns around us. I felt lost in time as I looked at her.
Lexy
I stepped in and was taken back to our Great Phoenix mother. “Mother, what’s going on?” I asked her. “Hello my child. Been wanting to have a conversation with you. Settle down and let’s talk” she responded. I sat down in front of her and prepared myself for her words.
“You have gone through your last changes and my beautiful child has bloomed. The great war is coming, and our people need you. Your mood or irritation needs to be controlled. Controlling every aspect of yourself is going to help you win the war. Losing control can cause you everything. Meditate every day after your physical and magical training” she told me.
“When will this war begin? How much longer do I need to keep my pups hidden?” I asked. I was desperate to have my kids safe and enjoy the world. “I understand your worries my child. But you and Lei will succeed. I believe you will break the cycle and set us free. You have all the support you could ever ask for. Now go. I will see you again” she finished speaking.
“Before you go. Your pups are adorable and will be amazing like their parents” and with that she was gone but Lei was in front of me. She looked so different from the last time I saw her. There are no words to describe how amazingly beautiful she is.
“We need to work together and stay levelheaded. Our mates will help if you let them in. We got this” Lei tells me. I nodded in agreement while tears flowed down my face. I gave her a huge hug and closed my eyes. When I opened my eyes CJ was in front of me with a smile and I felt at peace. I noticed people behind CJ and when I looked past him I saw my guards on their hands and knees bowing.
“What’s going on?” I asked confused. “You have been meditating all day. Whatever you were doing brought them out from the shadows and they’ve been like that for a while. When did the other arrived?” CJ answered me. He seemed confused after he spoke.
“How are you feeling?” I asked him. “What time is it? It was afternoon when I approached you but now is nighttime and there are more people here” he responded. “When she touched you, you were sucked in the trance with her” someone answered from behind CJ.
As we stepped closer to the bowing guards Kamira was standing in front of everyone. “Kamira, why is everyone acting like this?” I asked. “You reached your highest level and is a respect we show to our great leader. You are our queen” she responded while bowing her head. “Please everyone standup. I thank you for your respect, but I respect you and will protect my people. Now please stand, we have planning to do” I speak to everyone.
I walked out with CJ right next to me and I take a quick peak behind us and are being followed by everyone else. We walked straight to the packhouse and straight to dad’s suite. “Dad, I have some news that can help us with the war” I said as I burst into his suite.
I turned back around at the scene I just witnessed in front of me. “We can talk tomorrow morning” I speak out as I walked right back out the room.We all stood in the hallway, and I announced we will meet in the conference room at 8am to go over the new details I just came across.
