Chapter 90- Unexpected Things
CJ
It has been a week since Lexy fainted and we transferred her back to Helio’s tribe, her tribe. She was alive and breathing but nonresponsive. Doc couldn’t figure out what was happening to her and neither could Helio. He found the old scripts that Cecel had stolen, and he’s been working with the elders to translate them and see if it’ll help to bring her back.
Our moms bring the kids into our room where we have her. We know she loves being close to our pups. They keep calling for their mom but have not responded yet. I talk to her every day and update her on how the tribe is doing. I make sure that she is never alone longer than a minute.
We all take turns to keep her comfortable and watch out for her. I had to leave her to go to Helio’s office and my mom would come in right behind me. As I walked into the office, I could see Helio working hard with the translations along with dad and the elders. As I was closing the door to the office when mom held the door and walked in behind me with a tray of food and drinks for everyone.
“Mom! What are you doing here? You’re supposed to be with Lexy now” I spoke harshly to her. Before she could even respond I walked out and ran to Lexy. When I got to our room all I saw was a huge orange orb where she was lying. It was like a fiery cocoon keeping her inside.
I became frantic and was going to start smashing the cocoon when I heard a faint voice. ‘Don’t do it. Don’t’. “WHO SAID THAT?” I yelled out. ‘Is going to be ok mi amor. I’ll see you soon’ Lexy said in a whisper. “Baby please help me understand. What’s happening?” I asked. But I didn’t get a response. Everyone came out with concern in their eyes and then they noticed what I was talking to.
“What happened?” asked Helio in confusion. “I don’t know but this is how I found her” I responded. “She spoke to me and told me we will see each other soon” I said while crying. Mom held me tight while our dads looked at the cocoon. Then I noticed Helio run out of the room.
A couple of minutes later he came back in the room with some of the script he recovered. “Is right here. She’s physically transforming now. If I translated this correctly, that’s what’s happening right now with her” he said puzzled. I looked at the script he was holding, and the drawing looked the same as what we were looking at but that’s where the page ends.
That put more questions in our minds, but also had us feeling a bit of relief. We began discussing what could be happening and all came up with the same thought, she must be going through some type of transformation or healing process. I told Helio about what I heard when I walked in the room and all he said was “Amazing”. He was astonished with how the power in Lexy has been so much different than they know.
Cecel
A month has passed since I got away from everyone. I’m at full strength now, but my men’s numbers have depleted. Their numbers are down to 30. My mind has been blank since that day and all I’ve been doing since is training. Savyn has been making sure I eat and continue with my treatment.
The full moon is tonight, and my wolf is ready to be set free after so long of healing. Something has been off with him, but I have just been ignoring him thinking he’s just dying to get out. “Tonight, we are going for a run. Asterio needs to come out” I spoke to Savyn. “It shouldn’t be a problem. You have healed well and fast” Savyn responded.
“What’s for lunch?” I asked her. “I’ll be making pizza after your checkup” she responded. “Perfect. Let me know when is ready”. She finished my checkup and left to the kitchen while I went into my small office. I kept trying to come up with a new strategy to get her powers but there’s no way I can plan anything with my number of men.
I was lost in thought when Savyn walked in with a tray full of food. I don’t even know how long she was standing there. She got my attention when she placed the tray on the desk right in front of me. “Time for a break and eat” she spoke up. I nodded and before I began to eat I stopped her from leaving my office.
“Where’s your food?” I asked her. “Don’t worry about me. I’ll eat soon” she responded. “Sit and join me”. She sat down quickly and hesitated at first to grab a slice. We ate in silence, and I didn’t know what to say. What is wrong with me these days.
“How’s the food?” she asked me awkwardly. “Good, just how I like it. You made it from scratch?” I responded. She nodded in response. I noticed she kept blushing the longer we sat here. We finished eating and she picked up the tray and left my office. I decided to get out of my office and get myself ready for tonight’s run.
Nighttime finally came and Asterio was ready to be released. 5 minutes before midnight and letting him out and running wild he halted to a stop. ‘Mouthwatering’ he said as he licked his teeth. He went in the direction of the scent he picked up. As we closed in to the scent I kept thinking how there was something familiar about it.
‘MATE!!’ Asterio growled out. As we looked at the woman transforming for the first time, all we could think of was making her ours. “MATE!!” she growled out through her pain. Savyn is our mate, and I had no idea she wasn’t even of age yet.
