Chapter 97- Something New
Lexy
It has been 2 days since Alex and Yarielis have been staying with us. The house has been more alive than ever. They spoke to Alpha Trevor about the situation shortly after they settled, and he is showing his respect for me and uniting our forces again. They will stay as family and representatives of the Stone Valley Pack until we figure out what storm is coming.
Narrator
After all the work I did to get Cecel ready, and he still failed. I guess is time for me to get my hands dirty and I Will enjoy it. He likes his lips while thinking to himself. He was standing in his dark office looking out his window. The malevolence in the chuckle that came out of his mouth put chills on anyone’s body. He turns around and walks toward his desk and sits on his black chair and leans back.
CJ
It is great to have my brother here. We’ve been training together and taught him a couple of new moves. He keeps asking me how do I do it. What he means is having 3 pups at the same time. “Is not easy but I wouldn’t change it for the world” was always my response.
After a week of searching for what or who it could be, nothing had popped up. We weren’t letting her beat herself up for it. Instead, every time she looked stressed we immediately took her to the pups with Yarielis and they would be in there for hours. But I loved the woman that always came out stronger. And the connection between her and our pups is amazing.
Intern it has made our connections much stronger than I could have thought off. I would protect her and our pups with my life.
Lexy
Something new and different has been happening with my pups and myself since the warning. Every time I’m around them separately or together feels like a burst of love and understanding. There is something else there that I can’t describe. I noticed how CJ kept observing us.
“Mi amor, is there something in your mind?” I whispered to him. We were spending time with the pups. “Is it that obvious muñeca?” he responded. “Do you want to talk about it?” I asked curiously. “I’ve noticed this incredible connection happening with you and the pups. But also, with Yarielis” he responded while rubbing the back of his head.
I chuckled before I even answered him. “Yeah, I picked up on it because of you. I kept feeling you looking at us every time we are together”. As we were talking about the new connection, Yarielis crouched down holding her belly and complaining. “Something is wrong” she cried out.
Before we could even react, our pups surrounded her and placed their hands on her belly. As we approached them there was a bright glow coming from their hands. The moment I touched them I saw it. Yarielis baby girl being healed by my pups in her belly. They were protecting Yarielis and her baby. It was incredible.
When the glow vanished the pups all yawned at the same time. “Mami, we hungry and tired” Alexia spoke softly. CJ helped Yarielis up and put her down on the sofa while I picked up the pups and sat them down to eat. CJ had mind-linked Dr. Bennett while everything happened. She showed up right when the pups finished eating.
“What happened?” she asked as she entered the room. “Please check on Yarielis and her pup. Afterwards, check on my pups” I spoke to her. She nodded and got right to work. After her checkup on everyone, she gave us her findings. Everyone was 100% healthy and nothing to worry about. Alex showed up right as Dr. Bennett was leaving.
“Is something wrong?” Alex said worriedly. “No need to worry. Everything is perfectly fine” I responded. The pups had fallen asleep on top of me after the checkup. CJ wanted to take them, but I didn’t let him. “She had a scare, but your niece and nephews saved both of them” I began to explain. He looked dumbfounded as I told him exactly what happened. “Your mate and baby girl are safe and healthy” I ended telling him.
I slapped my mouth closed when I realized what I did. “Did you say baby girl?” Yarielis and Alex both spoke at the same time. “I’m sorry” I whispered out. “I’m having a little princess!!” Alex shouted. “SSHH!” CJ shushed him. Nothing anyone said could wipe the smile off Alex’s face. He sat next to Yarielis and held her tight. “Can you believe we are having a girl?” Alex said to Yarielis. She nodded with a big smile and tears of happiness rolling down her face.
I laid on the couch with my pups thinking about what happened and what my pups did. Lost in my thoughts I dosed off along with my pups. I don’t know for how long I slept but the nightmare I had waked me right out of whatever sleep I had. My babies woke up with me and they were crying while I was sweating. “Is ok my pups. Mami is here” I told them as I cuddled them.
“What happened muñeca? Did you have a nightmare?” CJ asked with a worried tone. “I can’t put it into words but something bad is approaching. And I think the pups sense it too. The man in the shadows” I responded with a shaky voice. “Muñeca don’t worry. We will figure things out and come out the other end stronger” CJ reassured me. What he couldn’t do is get the sense of terror from me.
Whoever the shadow man is, he gives off a horrifying aura. Is almost like being in hell. The best way I could describe it.
