Chapter 126- Agreements and Anticipation

“What I want to say is.. I don’t need help. My pack is the biggest in the country. But you piqued my interest” Adrain spoke calmly. Something in his tone caught my interest. I don’t think he is playing when he asks for me. “What is it about me that piqued your interest Alpha Adrian?” I asked calmly. “The fact that you are being called a queen. What makes you the queen?” he responded.

He made me pause before I could response. He does present a good question, and it caught everyone’s attention, and they began to whisper among each other. “I’m not claiming to be the queen of everyone. In my tribe’s tradition is my role. Just like in your pack you are the Alpha. Today’s point is to discuss ways to help one another and find ways of cooperation. I chose to take lead because no one else has and everyone can benefit from it.” I responded firmly but calmly.

Before we knew the meeting came to an end and dinner was being served. I took this time to get to know more of the Alphas and representatives that I hadn’t spoke to the night before. One thing I needed to do tonight is have a deeper conversation with Adrian before tomorrow.

The final day arrived, and the air was thick with anticipation. The representatives were eager to reach a consensus, and the weight of the impending choices hung heavy over us all. Adrian's influence was undeniable, and it was clear that his vision for the future had resonated with many.

As the conference drew to a close, I stood before the assembly, ready to address my people. "We have faced many challenges during these sessions, and we have heard many voices. Now, it is time to make our decisions, guided by wisdom and foresight."

Adrian's penetrating gaze met mine, and I felt the intensity of his presence once more. The path ahead was fraught with uncertainty, but I knew that together, we could navigate it and emerge stronger than ever.

We agreed on aid for the packs that had been attacked by rogues and help other packs build a better network for their people to thrive. Somethings need to be taken to the packs and discuss with their tables before the final agreement is signed.

The conference ended with a sense of resolve, and as the representatives couldn’t help be excited about tonight’s dinner, I couldn't help but feel that we were on the brink of a transformative era. Adrian had left an indelible mark on us all, and his influence would continue to shape our journey in ways yet to be seen.

Tonight is the last night everyone is here, and we are having a big feast. I looked after everything and made sure everyone felt at home. We made the feast on the training grounds to accommodate everyone. I found out the things everyone enjoyed from their packs and had them made.

Made a buffet style table and everyone has been praising us and our cooks for their hard work. We had a bong fire and live music. Some of them approached CJ and I thanking us for opening the doors to our tribe and how we handled the conference.

As the night progressed, the bonfire blazed brightly against the darkening sky, casting a warm, inviting glow over the gathering. The melodies of the live music intertwined with the laughter and chatter of the attendees, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie and celebration.

Adrian approached me, his presence commanding as ever. "May I have a word?" he asked, his voice low and intent. I nodded, and we stepped away from the crowd to a quieter corner of the training grounds.

"I wanted to commend you on the way you handled everything," Adrian began, his eyes reflecting the firelight. "Your leadership is truly inspiring."

"Thank you, Adrian," I replied, awkwardly. Something was off with the way he said it.

He paused, as if searching for the right words. "I believe we could be a great partnership. With your powers and my strength" he responded with a smirk.

I considered his words carefully. "How about we join the party and mingle. We will meet again next week for the final details. But you can reach us at any time for any questions or concerns."

Adrian nodded, a determined look in his eyes. "Then let's join the party. I do hope you think about what I just said."

As we rejoined the festivities, a sense of optimism and unity filled the air. The bonds we strengthened during the conference would undoubtedly shape the days to come.

The feast continued late into the night, with stories shared, songs sung, and the joyous spirit of the gathering etched into the hearts of all present. This was more than just a meeting of leaders; it was the beginning of a new chapter, one that promised hope, collaboration, and a brighter future for all our tribes and packs.

That Adrian guy is really getting on my last nerve. I don’t trust him and Xazul wants to shred him to pieces. I’m with him on that thought but then we think about what Lexy would do to us and Xazul curls in a ball. Can’t help but laugh at the thought.

Everyone got drunk and partied till the sun almost rose. All I looked forward to was laying with Lexy and the pups and holding them tight. I made sure everyone settled in while I sent Lexy back to the room. After everything quieted down I finally took a breather and went into my room.

The room was dimly lit, casting long shadows across the walls. Lexy and the pups were already asleep, their peaceful forms bringing a sense of calm to my anxious mind. I quietly slipped into bed, careful not to wake them, and let out a long, weary sigh. The weight of the evening's events slowly lifted as I surrendered to the soft embrace of the blankets.

As I lay there, I couldn't help but reply to the conversation with Adrian. His words lingered, stirring a mix of apprehension and curiosity within me. Could his demand be a joke, or was it a subtle trap waiting to ensnare us? The unspoken tension between us left me restless, but I knew that clarity would come with time and careful deliberation.

Outside, the first light of dawn began to creep through the window, heralding the start of a new day. The warmth of Lexy's presence beside me reminded me of why we fought so hard for peace and unity. Together, we would face whatever challenges lay ahead, bound by love and the unwavering strength of our tribe.
