Chapter 88- Battle Time

We were waiting with anticipation when we see the figures of Alpha Pokine’s men approaching over the hill. They stopped a distance away and then the men make an opening to let someone through. After a couple of seconds Alpha Pokine had made his way to the front of the men.
I stood right in front of my people along side CJ and dad. “Let’s get this over with!!” I spoke loud so Alpha Pokine could hear me. He smirked at me as a response and turned back around into the group of his man. “CHARGE!!” I yell at my people.
We all took off running towards the enemy with no fear in our hearts. Pokine’s men began to charge at us too. As we got closer my sacred warriors got in front of me and took the first brunt of the hit, but they stood their ground. The battle was intense and all you could see was claws flying in every direction along with loud growls.
I was fighting, but also keep my eyes out for my people in case they needed assistance with any type of injuries. I was trying to concentrate my senses to see what Pokine and his men were feeling as we battled. I was having a hard time since Pokine was keeping a huge distance from me.
Whether it was the sacred guards, dad’s guards, or CJ stayed really close to me. Our strategy to stay in groups and not have too much distance from the others is working better than I hoped. It has prevented the enemy from causing too much damage to my people.
Alpha Pokine
I’ve been observing every move she makes and every strike she lands. I decided to keep the distance since I’m not sure of what her powers are. I can see how her moves are precise and never misses. She’s more powerful than I expected, and I can already see defeat. ‘Is time for plan B’ I mind-linked my man.
‘Yes, Alpha’ he responded. I was distracted with putting plan B in motion that I let my guard down and they got pretty close to me. I found myself fighting my way to put distance from her. It was getting harder to keep them away. I had to get some of my men to keep them off me long enough to put distance and contact my other men.
I’m not sure how long had passed since I gave the order to commence with plan B. I have not stopped fighting since I gave that order. ‘WHAT’S GOING ON?! ANSWER ME’ I mind-linked my man. Barely had a moment to breath when I made that mind-link, and I didn’t get a response. I have become very worried at this point. We were being pushed back and a portion of my man were down.
Everything was going horrible wrong for me.
Lexy
There were a couple of my man with injuries, but they were minor injuries and didn’t want my help. They only wanted me to help with major injuries. I started sensing Pokine’s feelings and he was in distress and all over the place.
It was feeling like he was losing control and getting desperate. I knew this was the moment to bring him down and the rest of his men. ‘Is time. Surround them and push it in. They are ready to be taken down’ I mind-link everyone at once. Everyone took their positions and began to push the plan.
We circled them and pinned them all together till they couldn’t fight anymore. Once we knew they were defeated I called off the attack. The ones that didn’t die were tied up and treated while Pokine and his close circle were taking the to the dungeon cells.
As they were being drag into the dungeon, Pokine was trying to bargain out of being locked up, but no one was listening to him. what he doesn’t know is that we still have eyes on his hideout and Cecel. I’ve been waiting for news from Tarria about how it went on their end.
I went looking for dad and found him assisting some of the injured. I gave him a hand while I spoke to him. “Have you heard from Tarria yet?”. “No response yet sweetie. If we don’t hear back in 15 minutes you are going to have to force your way to mind-link her” he responded. I nodded in understanding and continued helping anyone that needed my help.
I let our moms know we are doing good but told them to stay put until we knew what happened with Cecel. Since the battle was over we have been concentrating in getting things back to order to begin the interrogation. I need to get everything they know and what the end game was for them. I was trying to keep myself distracted but I couldn’t shake off the feeling of something being wrong.
I looked at the time and realized it has been an hour and we still haven’t heard anything from Tarria. I pushed the mind-link to connect with her or anyone else in her team, but I was getting no response. ‘Come on guys, answer me!’. I was extremely worried for them and what happened. After 10 minutes of no response, I was preparing myself to head to them. As everyone is trying to calm me down and hold me back I heard a soft voice, ‘I’m sorry’. It was so weak it was breaking my heart.
‘What happened? How can I help?’ I responded trying to keep my tone calm. ‘I’m sorry…my queen. He-he got a-a-away’ the voice stammered to speak. ‘Don’t worry. We are on our way to get you’ I responded gently. “We need to move now and get Tarria and the team. They need us now. I’ll explain what I know on the way” I ordered a group of 10 to come with me.
“Yes our majesty” they said in unison while bowing.
