Chapter 49- The Map
Lexy
After an amazing lunch time at the lake, we rushed back home. While on the way I explained to CJ what happened during my trans, and he was flabbergasted. When we arrived mama Sheera came with 2 robes towards the truck. I figured CJ mind-linked her and let her know of our situation. We were butt naked since everything burned during my meditation. I smirked at her as I got off the truck and she placed the robe on me. she tossed CJ’s robe through the passenger seat. As we walked inside, the family was staring at us. We just chuckled and ran upstairs. We got cleaned up and went back down with all the things I found. Everyone was in the living room waiting for us. As we sat down mama Sheera came in with a tray of food and papa Angel came in behind her with a tray of drinks. ‘One moment mija. I have a tray just for you’ mama Sheera mind-linked me. I smirked and mouthed thank you at her as she winked at me.
After mama Sheera came in with my tray and sat down we explained what happened at the lake during my meditation. Everyone’s mouth almost hit the floor and that made me burst out in laughter. That made everyone look at me sideways. That made me laugh more. CJ understood and laughed along with me. “Sorry guys. But your faces just got me cracking up” I said in between laughter. I laughed so hard I cried. CJ got a bit worried, but mama Sheera waved her hands at him to let me be. I didn’t know how much I needed to laugh. I don’t remember the last time I laughed like that. Once I caught my breath I let everyone know I was good.
Everyone began to brainstorm while I decided to focus on the original book. I rubbed my hands through the pages, feeling how old they are, and the letters felt. Right in the middle of the book is a map that covers both pages. I ran my hand over the pages and the moment my hands were in the middle of it I felt something. I looked up to see CJ looking at me with a serious face and then he smiled. He got up and walked up to me. “Your eyes are glowing” he said while gently touching my face. “There is something here” I say to him while my hand never left the book.
CJ
I was amazed at how much her powers were increasing. She showed me in the book the reason her eyes were glowing. It was an old map in the book, but it was in another language making me guess it was old terrain, and a lot has changed. It gave me a brilliant idea and I couldn’t help but smile and left the living room without a word. I went to my father’s office, and he was sitting at his desk going over paperwork. I didn’t even say a word and just went to his bookshelf. “Hey mijo. Estas bien? (Hey son. Are you good?)” I heard him ask me. “Yeah! Just looking for all your map books” I responded without looking at him. I began to grab a couple of books that I remembered when dad put his hand on my shoulder and handed me a big book. The cover looked a bit old, but it made me think of the time my dad showed it to me when I was 8 years old. “Gracias papi” I smiled at him, and he helped me pulled out a couple of more. He helped me take them back to the living room and Lexy’s face was shocked and had tears and the girls were comforting her.
Lexy was crying and I dropped all the books and ran to her. The girls moved and I picked her up and placed her in my lap. “What happened muñeca?” I asked her while kissing the top of her head. “You left and didn’t say anything” she sobbed out. “I’m sorry muñeca. An idea popped into my head, and I went to get the things that would help with what you found. I’m so sorry” I pleaded with regret. “I’m sorry too. I don’t know what came over me” she said while still sobbing. “I think Dr. Bennett was right about my hormones” she chuckled at her own words. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to make you worry. How about we take a break and I’ll make you something to eat?” I told her. She nodded her head while she gave me a small smile.
By some miracle or I don’t know what, but my mom walked in with a huge tray of food. My dad was picking up the books I dropped when he noticed mom. “Hon why didn’t you call me for help?”. “No te preocupes (Don’t worry). Just cleaned that up and then grab the rest” she chuckled at him.

I don’t know what took over me, but when CJ left without a word I started to cry. The girls freaked out at the sight and tried to comfort me. I just cried without saying a word. CJ wasn’t even gone that long when he walked in with a bunch of books and a big smile. He comforted me and that’s when I understood what hormone mood swings meant. Like always right on time mama Sheera brought in food. Papa Angel helped her bring the rest and then brought my special tray as she calls it. A tray full of foods and my prenatal.
After eating CJ began to explain to me why the books. I thought it was a brilliant idea and he open books until he found the similar maps. While he was going through the books I noticed a bigger older one. “What’s that?” I asked with curiosity. “Here. Is a history book I believe” he said as he handed it to me without looking at me. As I grabbed it I felt an energy. “Wow” just came out of my mouth. He looked at me and I knew something happened. “Your eyes again” he smiled. I opened the book, and it was a history book. As I was flipping to through the pages I was intrigued by it.
When I got to page 120 I pointed out at the map in it. CJ looked with me, and I instinctively whispered, “Deep Forest”. I remembered what Abellona said and now it was making sense. CJ seemed to have caught on at the same time. The map was indicating that Deep Forest is in Georgia. “Mama y Papa, we need to go to Georgia” I said in excitement. I hope that this would give me answers or get me to my father and then my mother.
