Chapter 98- Unexpected Announcement

Another 2 weeks have passed, and I couldn’t shake the negative vibes of what was coming. I did my best not to worry anyone and to also keep it away from my pups. I can’t let them go through the same scare of that day.
“Muñeca, you can’t keep pushing our pups away. They can tell that mami has been acting different” CJ approached me while sitting on my desk. “I don’t want to see the fear in their tiny faces” I said holding tears back. He walked around the desk picked me up and cradled me like a baby in his arms.
“Stop trying to take it all by yourself. Even tho you fail miserably at hiding it” he spoke as a chuckled escaped him at the end. I slapped him on his chest failing to hold my smile in. As we were talking, I began to not feel well. “I don’t feel good” I spoke softly. I heard CJ shout for Dr. Bennett to be called. “Wwwhhaaa…” I tried to speak but couldn't get a whole word out. Next thing I knew I threw up and passed out.
CJ
I was having an open conversation with Lexy when she became unwell. She passed out before the Doc showed up. She took her to her private clinic and began to monitor her. She finished all her tests, and we were waiting for the results. Doc said she was fine, but her stress level was a bit high. After 2hrs since she passed out the Doc came in. “How’s she doing? Has she woken up?” Dr. Bennett asked.
“She hasn’t woken up, but she seems to be having a good dream” I responded. She kept smiling from time to time. “I have her results back. Congratulations, you are going to be a dad again” Dr. Bennett said with a smile. “Wait, what?” I responded in shock. Before she could answer Lexy woke up. “Why are you shouting?” she whispered. “Ho-how are you feeling?” I responded.
“I feel thirsty. Did something happen?” she asked me. Doc served her a cup of water and passed it to me. I held it for her while she drank. Doc excused herself and left us alone. “You threw up and passed out. You have been out for 2hrs” I began to speak. “Is there something wrong with me?” she asked. “Everything is fine. Actually, is more than fine” I responded. She looked at me with a raised eyebrow.
“You are expecting a pup” I told her. Her eyes opened wide and so did her mouth. “I’m pregnant?!” she said in disbelief. I chuckled while she wrapped her mind with the news. I still can’t believe she’s pregnant again. I kissed her hands as she was lost in thought.

I’m pregnant again. Is all I could say in my head. I didn’t even see it coming. Then I thought about the last time we got wild, and my face went completely red. Dr. Bennett came into the room and that brought me back to the moment. “I see you’re still processing the news. I want to keep you for observation for another couple of hours and check on the pup and how far along you are” Dr. Bennett said.
“Alright” is all I answered. She smiled at me and began to do tests. By the time I finished I was starving. “Can we go eat?” I asked. “Will be done in 15 minutes” Dr. Bennett responded. CJ stayed by my side the whole time and the smile on his face never faded.
When I got discharged by Dr. Bennett, CJ took me straight home. When we walked in there was a feast already prepared, and everyone was there. “Hey guys, I’m good but I’m starving. Let’s eat” I said with a smile. We all sat down and while eating CJ made the announcement about our new pup. Everyone congratulated us. After dinner while watching movies we told the kids.
The kids wrapped themselves around me and then Alexia spoke up, “Baby happy mami”. I looked her in the eyes, and I noticed tears dripping on her face. “No cry mami” Elio said. “We will always protect” Jr. said last. CJ was as stunned as I was. I held them and all and told them, “Mami is crying from happiness. I love you so much”. Everyone was amazed at the kid’s response.
The next day as I sat in my office, I couldn’t shake off my worries. “What is it muñeca?” CJ asked me. “Something bad is coming and I’m pregnant. I don’t want anything to happened to the pup when the battle begins” I responded frustrated. He held my hands from across the desk. “I will protect you no matter what. And this is a blessing from the moon goddess” he said sweetly.
“Ok. Let’s get back to work and solve this before I’m to big to move” I spoke more cheerfully. We got back to work on finding out who it could be.

I must come up with a plan soon on how I’m going to solve this problem. Since I failed to accomplish my mission, now he will come after her and me. I’m putting Savy and our pup in danger. I began to train with my man again, but they could tell I wasn’t the same man.
I sat down with my right-hand man to come up with a plan to get everyone in a safe place. My men understand that there has been a big change in our endgame now. They also understood that something more dangerous was coming and that could be the end for all of us.
The plan we come up with must be foolproof and nothing can go wrong. We went over several different ideas until one stuck out like a sore thumb. By the end of the day, we had most of it figured out. There was only one detail that needed to be worked out, but it was out of our control. I have no other choice now if I want to keep Savy and the baby safe. I didn't know I would ever feel like this for anyone in my life.
