Chapter 62- Burst of Emotions

He led me to the bathroom the same way as before chained up. I was hoping since I had not eaten since lunch it would help my situation. While using the bathroom I kept thinking why my powers weren’t working and if it was something in the food. A couple of minutes had passed, and he knocked on the door. “I’m doing number 2” it was embarrassing to say that, but I needed time.
‘What happened to our powers?’ I asked Lei. ‘I’m not sure. Let’s see if it is something in the food’ Lei responded. I flushed the toilet and washed my hands. I come out and I start feeling an aura from him. He seems irritated but at the same time it feels like he’s worried about something. We walk back into the room; he takes the chains off says “eat your food” and leaves the room again.
‘Did you feel that?’ I ask Lei. I could see her nodding her head in my head. ‘I think you were right about the food but that seems like something new’. We were determined to stay focused and get my powers back to get out of here and back to my family. I decided to sit and meditate. But before I could he burst through the door, grabbed my arm and began to pull me out of the room.

Wandering through these hallways was making me impatient. We decided to split the team in 2. Half went to the basement and my half went towards the top floor. The moment we stepped onto the top floor the alarms went off. Panic set in and I wanted to barge into every room until I found her. I couldn’t lose my mind now and I could see Helio going through the same motions I’m in.
We walked fast through the hallway and took down any rogues that came along. I felt my anger popping to the surface and then I surge of energy that made Xazul and myself focus on the direction we were feeling it come from.
Lexy
He was pulling me down the hallway, but I wasn’t cooperating and was walking like an anchor. Then I became overwhelmed and felt a surge of emotional energy. He was pissing me off the harder he pulled, and I exploded. I felt like a bomb had gone off. I yanked my arm from him stood in place and screamed out. Apperalingly levitated too by the fear on his face.

I took off in the direction of the energy and nothing was stopping me. ‘WHERE ARE YOU GOING?’ Helio mind-linked me. ‘IS HER’ is all I could respond. I took a turn and in the middle of the hallway was Lexy levitating and fully glowing with a rogue on the floor staring at her. She looked my way and smiled. “MATE” they blurred out. I ran towards her with all my fury. The rogue attempted to grab her but was burnt and flown back.
I got to her and held her in my arms. At that moment the surge of energy burst it out of us and everything around us went quiet. It looked like time stopped and I was brought back by her words, “We must leave now”. I took off at her words and mind-linked Helio to get everyone and exit out.
We made our way to the first floor, regrouped with the other team and we could hear rogues heading our way. “OUT NOW!!” Lexy shouts. We all ran while the team surrounded us keeping Lexy safe. We make it out and the other team help keep the rogues out of our way. As we reach the safe point we heard a very aggressive howl coming from the building. “LET’S GO!” Helio growls out.
We made our way towards the vehicles. We haven’t let our guard down even getting in the vehicles until we are completely away from the area. I just kept holding on to her keeping her close to my chest.

I opened my eyes to CJ holding me and we were still in the vehicle. “Chulo” I spoke softly. He looked me in the eyes and placed his hand on my cheek. “Muñeca preciosa (precious doll)” he responded softly. I placed my hand on his face, and he brought me up to his face and kissed me. I missed his touch, his kisses and aura. Omg I can feel his emotions and everything about him. He is my one and I never want to be away from him.
“Hey, my baby Phoenix” I heard my dad speak. “Papa” I responded while throwing myself at him. I felt his aura and it was all love, but it was love enveloped in fire. I recognized it and felt comfort in it. “I must let you guys know. It was Cecel who took me” I let everyone in the vehicle know.
“He was planning to keep me with my babies there but didn’t say what his plans were. One thing I do know is that he doesn’t know I’m having triplets”. “We’re almost home. We can talk about it after we get you checked out” said dad. “Thanks dad. I need to know my babies are good. They put something in the food that kept my powers suppressed” I say to them. I began to feel the anger coursing through everyone in the vehicle. “Please calmed down now!” I scream at them.
I felt their shock and it calmed down my irritation. “What happened my Phoenix?” CJ asked me. “Too many emotions. I can feel them” I responded. Their shock emotions were really strong, but I can feel them begin to calm them down. I could tell it was hard for them to, but I appreciate it that they were trying. We finally made it to dad’s pack, and I felt relief, but it wasn’t just mines it was the whole pack as we walked in.
I was becoming overwhelmed, and I guess dad noticed because everyone left the packhouse area. We walked in the packhouse and I was left speechless at what I was looking for.
