Chapter 38- Training
The next 2 days mama Cita and CJ taught me how to stand my ground. Cita translated parts of the book that can help with my heating and what to expect as time passes. CJ has been teaching me combat. We are just getting started but I feel better, like something has awakened in me. I thanked CJ for writing down everything he sees or hears from me. I wish I could stay longer here but I need to go back and face whatever is coming head on.
Kaury will be here in an hour to pick us up. Mama Cita made us food and chatted with us a bit more. It was time for us to walk down the mountain to meet Kaury. “Mijita, remember you’re more powerful than you think. I will see you again” she ended it with a kiss on the cheek. “Dios los bendiga (god bless you)” she told both of us. “Take care of yourself. Will see you soon. Thank you for everything” I let her know with all the love in my heart.
We met Kaury and he took us back to his home. And again, the whole family was there throwing a huge party. We promised everyone that we would return to spend time with them. This time I really enjoyed myself.
CJ
It was great seeing Lexy interacting with my mom’s family. She looked free and relaxed. I wish I could keep her in this moment forever, but I know I must be there through what’s coming next. I promised myself to make sure I bring her back to the freedom she has right now. I saw her dancing with one of my cousins and I went to her. “Can I have this dance?” I winked at my cousin. He placed her hand on mine, and we began to dance. The smile on her face was priceless and I wanted to keep it there. “I love you my queen”. She stopped dancing and looked me in the eyes. “I love you too” as she finished saying it, she kissed me. I held her tight during our kiss and then we separated.
After a crazy day and night of partying, we headed straight for the airport. We were exhausted, but Lexy was still smiling. We slept the hold flight and got woken up by everyone clapping. We met my parents at the exit. On the ride home we caught up with everything we learned and how the family is doing. Lexy bought souvenirs for everyone. When we got to the house my mom had set up a party for our return. Lexy and I looked at each other and began to laugh. My parents looked at us like we were crazy. “What’s wrong with y’all?” mami asked concerned. “We partied all day and night with the fam. Only slept on the plane” I responded while still laughing. She began to laugh after hearing that. We ate with everyone, and Lexy got to give everyone their souvenirs and talk about all the fun she had with the family in Puerto Rico.
After a long day we went back to our room and went straight to bed. We ended up sleeping the rest of the day until the next morning. When I woke up, Lexy was curled up on top of me. I kissed the top of her head and gently moved the hair from her face. I was trying not to wake her up, but she began to move. Her eyes opened and I got to see her beautiful green eyes. “Good morning my Phoenix”. She smiled at me and then rubbed her face on my chest. “Morning” she mumbled. “Come on. Time for training. Alex will be there for better training” I let her know. She groans and nods her head. We get and up ready for the day. We met Alex in the training grounds, and he wasn’t alone. “Hey bro” I got his attention.
Lexy
Alex brought a female warrior to help me train. “Hey guys. This is Yarielis my top student warrior. She will help you Lexy” he introduced us. “Let’s begin”. Alex began the training and Yarielis is tough. As the training continued I started to become frustrated. My frustration was building up and when I grabbed her arm to make a move I heard her “Ouch, fuck!”. I let go of her and noticed I burned her. I looked at her and then my hands. “I’m sorry” I was about to start crying when Lei spoke to me. ‘Put your hands over her arm’. “Let me see your arm please?” I begged her. I don’t know why but she trusted me. The guys had noticed something was wrong but before they got to us I did what Lei said. I put my hands over her arm and a glow came out of my hand. After a couple of seconds I took them off her and her arm was back to normal. I healed it with my hands.
Yarielis was in shock. She couldn’t believe what happened and how. I was less shocked than her but still pretty shocked. When the guys arrived they couldn’t figure out what happened, and we weren’t saying anything just looking at each other. She then smiled at me and gave me a hug. That’s when I let myself cry. The guys were stunned with what what’s going on. After she let me go she looked at the guys and explained what happened. Their jaws almost fell to the ground. Alex’s more than CJ’s. I think he was starting to get used to the weird things that keep happening to me. “Are you ok?” CJ asks me with concern on his face. “I’m fine. I just got scared when I hurt her. I don’t want to hurt the people I care about” I responded with a bit of a sniffle. He hugged me and kissed my forehead.
“Can we get back to training?” I asked them shyly. “Come on Lexy. Don’t worry about the overprotective mate and his brother. I’ll keep training you” Yarielis answered me while grabbing my hand and pulling me away from the guys. I looked back and both of their faces made me laugh. We trained for a couple more hours. We invited Yarielis to the house for dinner and she agreed. I’m not sure but I think there is something there between those 2. I’ll just wait and see how that goes. I do like her energy. There is something there too, something special.
During dinner time I caught Alex looking at her in a type of dreamy gleam in his eyes. Nobody else seems to have noticed. I enjoyed the smooth environment. After dinner we headed to the family room and enjoyed a movie.
