Chapter 116- Carnage
Lexy
Tarria informed us of Bael's aggressive actions against our warriors, causing me deep concern. "Please take me to his location," I instructed. She promptly began to lead the way without speaking. I put all my focus and my energy into facing Bael and his beast.
The moment we got to the scene left me dumbfounded. It was carnage what I was looking at. I couldn’t tell the state of everyone, but I could tell it was severe and some might be dead. I couldn’t help the rage that took over me.

Seeing our people in the state they had made me so angry. Before I could process the whole scene, Lexy began to transform. She really does look like a magnificent phoenix cover from head to toe in fire. It was always a beautiful thing to see her power, but I also know what comes after. I could feel the fury coming out of her and it is very powerful. Everyone took a step back from her, but they surprised me when they bowed to her.
“Rise my children. We will end it once and for all. For our people, for our past, and our future” Lexy spoke with a divine tone. “Yes, mother” they all responded in unison. I’m proud of the woman she is, and I’m scared of losing her again. She began to walk at the front of the warriors leading the way now.
The more bodies of our warriors we saw the more rage came from her. I stood by her every step of the way.

Each step I took brought me nearer to concluding this conflict. I treated some of my warriors as swiftly as possible without sacrificing too much time in reaching my goal. I aim to prevent further injuries. I heard a menacing growling and a huge thud. I knew we were close, and I ran ahead.
In a matter of a minute, I reached the battle site where Bael was. My warriors were fighting fiercely, but they were no match for Bael’s beast. He hadn’t noticed me, and I decided to get his attention by throwing a fireball right at the back of his head. It hit him so hard his head launched forward and then he snapped his head looking straight at me.
“I’M HERE! COME AND GET ME” I taunted him. This time I’m ready for him. He launched at me without thinking and I could tell it was all beast. I evaded him with ease as I moved him away from the injured. I began to attack him and hit him with all my might. I know this won’t be an easy fight, but I will do anything to stop him.
He landed a good blow on my face that took my balance for a moment, but I regained it in time to evade another hit. Before I knew it, CJ surprised him with a good hit to the back of his head that made him stumble towards me. I took the opportunity to punch him dead center of his face. He stumbled back and then to the side trying to get his balance back.
I thought it was the perfect time to throw more attacks when he quickly recovered himself and grabbed me by the throat. He shocked me with the move, but my rage was too strong. I used my powers on his arm and set him on fire from the inside of his arm. He threw me away and CJ attacked him while he was trying to recover.
CJ kept playing off my moves to keep the beast down. I could tell that CJ kept getting angry every time he landed a hit on me. ‘Stay focused’ I mind-linked him. He growled for a moment and immediately lowered his head. ‘I’m sorry muñeca’ he responded sweetly. Tarria and the other warriors wanted to join us, but I wasn’t going to allow them to get hurt.
CJ and I kept fighting relentlessly, each blow fueled by the memory of our fallen comrades. The energy around us was electric, crackling with the intensity of the battle. Bael's beastly strength was formidable, but we refused to back down. My powers surged through me, igniting the air with fiery bursts as I aimed for vital spots on Bael's massive form.
The clash of steel and the roar of flames filled the battlefield. I could sense the unwavering support of my warriors, their determination echoing through the mind-link. They fought valiantly to keep Bael's men at bay, ensuring that our confrontation remained undisturbed.
Bael's ferocity was unmatched, yet our combined efforts began to wear him down. I saw the flicker of uncertainty in his eyes, a momentary hesitation that revealed the strain of our relentless attacks. CJ's presence beside me was a constant reassurance, his swift movements and powerful strikes complementing my every move.
As the battle raged on, I knew that we had to seize this opportunity to turn the tide. With a burst of fiery energy, I launched myself at Bael once more, determined to end this conflict and secure a future for our people. Together, CJ and I pressed on, our resolve unyielding, as we fought for justice and peace.
Each blow we landed seemed to weaken him, and the tide of battle felt like it was finally turning in our favor. The chants of my warriors filled the air, their courage giving me the strength to push on. Bael's movements slowed, and for the first time, a glimmer of hope sparked within me.
We thought we finally had him when out of nowhere he began to transform to something more dangerous and vicious. The way he made the hair on the back of my neck stand on end, I knew the fight was about to get a lot worse before it even got better.
Bael
I had been trying to keep control of Dion while fighting her, but the way they kept coming for him I couldn’t allow it any longer. I released his full power and fully let him transform.
