Chapter 103- A Change in Strategy

Things have got interesting in the past couple of days since Savyn showed up. Lexy has been letting Cecel stew in his cell before she lets him know what she has decided. I know her and I know she doesn’t want to punish him hard because of Savyn, the baby and the fated mate bond.
But I know she can’t be too lenient with him after everything he has done. She has asked my opinion, but I agree with her decisions. She has been doing a great job at putting people first. Even with all the negativity that has been surrounding us, she continues to stay levelheaded.
Our kids are growing fast and learning faster. Lexy hasn’t been able to spend a lot of time like she used to with them, but never misses a night with them. I’ve been making sure she doesn’t over stress herself or the baby. I keep having Doc come to wherever she was during meeting breaks to make sure she takes care of herself. I know I’m being overprotective and overbearing, but I know how focused she can be.
Today she was going to tell Cecel what his punishment would be. I told her I was going to be in the room with her when she delivered the news. She also was planning to tell him his mate is on the grounds. I know the moment he finds out he’ll do anything to protect his mate and unborn pup.
Master
I had a setback in my plans and the responsible ones paid with their lives. I don’t accept stupidity and my plans being sabotaged. I need to get my hands on her powers already. I don’t care if it was delayed by a day it is still not acceptable. “BRING IT TO ME!!” I shouted at my servant. “Yes, master” she said in a whispered.
A couple of minutes later she showed up and I slapped her the moment she got close to me and handed me what I asked for. “What took you so long?” I growled at her. she didn’t respond. She hung her head low and begged for mercy. “Get out of my face” I growled again.
With this I will be able to have the upper hand and get everything I want. The power will be mine.
Lexy
I had my guards bring Cecel into the conference room and make sure his eyes were covered. I walked into the conference room with CJ and took our place at the conference table. Once we were sited I had my guards take off his eye covering. It took him a moment to adjust his eyesight. Once he looked around the room and then saw us, he straightened himself up.
“Now, let’s begin the decision made for your punishment” I spoke sternly. “But before I do. I need you to see something”. I signaled my warrior to open the conference room door. My warrior went out and walked back in. The moment he stepped to the side Cecel’s face dropped in shock. His mate Savyn had just walked through the door. Cecel began to panic before any explanation was given.
“PLEASE LET HER GO. SHE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH MY CRIMES. LET HER GO” Cecel yelled while pleading. “PUNISH ME AND ONLY ME. LET HER GO. I’LL DO ANYTHING”. And there it was, what we knew would happen the moment Savyn walked through the door. With his full cooperation now he’ll be able to understand what his punishment will be.
I kept my composure straight and spoke up calmly, “Silence”. “Savyn, please sit down” I signal to hear. “Now, let’s talk about your punishment. For her safety, you will be working with us. You will fight when this master attacks and you will help us protect the innocents of this war. Your punish will end and you will gain your freedom when the war ends” I said looking straight into Cecel’s eyes.
It took him a moment to respond to the shock. “Wh-why hold her hostage? I-I’ll do anything to assure her safety” Cecel said shocked up. Before I could respond Savyn stood up. “Sh-she’s not holding me h-hostage. I came to her, a-and she has been very accommodating to us” Savyn responded while rubbing her belly. She got a bit teary but continued talking to Cecel.
“She’s an amazing person and understands our situation. She’s willing to keep us safe here until the danger passes” she finished talking. “What Savyn said is true. What you also need to know is that your master found your hideout and tried to take her already. That’s why she ended up coming here and begging for your release” I said sternly.
“Www-what do you mean she was found?” he fumbled out the question. “Lou said, ‘Master has found us’ as he got me out of there” Savyn spoke to him. He looked at her with fear in his face. “Tt-that can’t be. H-he dd-didn’t know about that location. H-how is that possible?” he responded with a shaky voice. He turned to look at me and spoke with determination, “I’ll do anything you ask of me. I know you will never trust me, but I’ll fight with you”.
I could see the determination and resolve in his demeanor. Now I feel like we have gained the missing piece I’ve been looking for. My brain has been running at full speed since I talked to CJ and then everyone about my plan. It is not a foolproof plan, but I’m putting the pieces in place as the information comes in.
Now the last piece that is missing is finding out who is behind the shadows and how does he connect to me. Or at least get a clue to his whereabouts. Dad has been working hard with the elders to figure out his identity but so far they have come out empty handed. None of the profits talk about this horrible darkness hovering over us. I hope I figure things out before is too late.
