Chapter 64- Revelation of the Past

“WHAT THE F*** HAPPENED?!” I yelled at my man and hit the one that let her get away. This puts a damper in my plans. How the hell they found us and that fast? I couldn’t understand that, and it was angering me. I had everyone working overtime. I didn’t just lose her; I lost the leverage of having Xiomara too. All in a span of 24hrs.

Everyone was staying out of my path. They know if they don’t have answers or solutions I will kill them. I was having the magic depressing cooked in her food. How was she still able to use her powers? What powers does she possess?

Lexy
After 2 days of everyone letting me rest I called a meeting. We needed to prepare for what what’s coming, and it couldn’t wait any longer. We all sat down in the conference room, and I took a stand and addressed everyone.
“I know everyone is worried about me after what happened. But we need to prepare ourselves for what’s coming”. Everyone looks at me waiting for the other shoe to drop. “Is going to be in the next coming days. We don’t have much time and I don’t want to lose anyone. His anger is expanding and is going to be an explosive battle. I want everyone to prepare and make sure the innocent doesn’t get hurt”.

I could hear some starting to whisper so I cleared my throat to get them to quiet down. “Today we will begin our strategies and implementing them into our every day until this battle is over” I finished speaking and took my seat. Dad nodded at me and began the plan to defend and attack. Everyone’s training was going to be more intense for everyone, but it’ll be worth it.
I got a call from Dr. Bennet this morning about coming in to talk about my results and to bring dad with me. I knew that meant bad news that dad needed to know about. After the meeting was over we headed to the private clinic to meet with Dr. Bennet.

“I have the results and you were right. There was a suppressant in your blood that I don’t recognize. I don’t know if it’ll have future affects but the babies and you are healthy and safe. I do want to continue to monitor you and make sure everything continues to be good” she finished telling us. We were heading out when Dr. Bennet called dad to stay behind. I found it a bit odd but left CJ when he mentioned food.

Dr. Bennet held me back after letting us know Lexy’s result. I thought everything was good but what she told me left me stunned. Lexy has a high chance of dying during labor due to the babies draining her body. They are bigger than normal babies and they are taking her nutrients. You couldn’t tell by the way she holds herself but internally she is weakening. She thinks it might also be the reason besides the suppressants why her powers weren’t working.

I know I need to tell her and CJ, but I don’t know how to. I can’t take too long to let them know because she would be upset. I’m just scared to lose the daughter I didn’t know I had and have become attached to. I have become too close to her, and I can’t protect her from this. I was lost in my thoughts when Xiomara entered my office. “Hey, can we talk?” she spoke to me. I waved to her to sit down.

“I’m sorry Helio. I’m sorry for the way I did things. But you’ll understand better and might be able to help you in whatever is going on”. I didn’t want to hear it but before I could say something she began to talk. “I know you think this is not the time and you’re upset with me, but you have to listen to what I have to say” she pleads with me. “Ok. Continue” I tell her trying not to show my emotions.

“I took off when I found out I was pregnant because of something Cecel told me. He terrified me to be with you. Cecel helped me runaway and stay away. After Lexy’s was born he involved himself with her a lot. The picture with him holding her is the reason I found out his intentions and took off from him” she said as she held tears back. Her statement had me on the edge of my seat. I chose to keep my composure. She took a deep breath and continued to speak.

“Lexy was 2 months old when the picture was taken. I looked at the back of the photo and saw what he wrote. I was confused but chose to investigate it. I found in his office some old scriptures about some Great Phoenix. Next to it were some notes he wrote, and they were about your family line and then I noticed Lexy’s name. It was information about what Lexy could become and how to use her. I chose that night to take get away and keep her safe. I made sure to always leave Lexy a fail safe in a deposit box. Every time we moved he found us letting me know I wasn’t getting away. I changed her last name to mines and didn’t stay anywhere too long. I hate myself for how things turned out and for ever listening to him. I didn’t look for you because I thought you hated me and never wanted to see me” she was crying at this point.

I couldn’t hold myself anymore. I went around my desk grabbed her by the face and kissed her. I couldn’t help it anymore. She’s my fated mate and I couldn’t see her cry. I separated from her, and she had stopped crying, but her face was in total shock. I think mines looked the same to her but then she pulled me in and kissed me. we pulled apart and she whispered with a tear streaming down her face “I missed you”.

Lexy
After eating I noticed that dad never came down to eat. I decided to prepare him a plate and take it to him. Lady Marisol tried to convince me she could do it, but I put my foot down. I chose to just open the door and was met with a very surprising view. Mom and dad were kissing. I almost dropped the plate from the shock but thank you CJ for always staying close. He was surprised too but was better at covering it than I was.

They jumped apart from each other and looked like 2 red tomatoes. “What is going on?” I asked frantically. They were both so flustered that they weren’t responding. Dad eventually got his composure back and cleared his throat. “I couldn’t help it sweety. She’s my fated mate” was his response. I don’t know why but I began to giggle. Everyone looked at me weirdly as I kept giggling. “I’m sorry dad. I brought you something to eat”. “Will let you be” as I pointed CJ to put it on the table.

“Actually stay. I need you to listen to your mom and then I have something to tell you” dad stopped me from leaving. I sat down with CJ and listened to everything mom said and then what dad said. I cried and became speechless. CJ was trying to stay strong for me but when he heard what was happening to me and what could happen, he lost the battle to his emotions.
