Chapter 59- Intrusion
Lexy
I have been waiting to hear from dad, but no words have come through yet. Is already nighttime and everyone is in bed or getting ready for bed. I’m laying in bed with CJ when I get a bad vibe. Right when I was going to let CJ know that something was wrong the alarms in the pack went off. We jumped out of bed, and I put on some CJ’s clothes since mine was getting tight on me.
The guards burst into our room and directed us to follow them to a safe room. “What about the people?” I ask them. “They will be taken care of. Your safety is the priority to the pack and orders were to keep you safe” was Leo’s response. Leo has been the lead soldier watching over me and I’ve gotten to know him pretty well. I nodded my head in agreement and continued to follow him. As we were approaching my dad’s office we heard commotion coming from the entrance of the packhouse.
Leo sent 1 of the guards to check it out while we proceeded into the office. But before he opened the safe door a huge blast blew up the office door and knocking me out.
Helio
We got through to the second floor but had to hide in one of the rooms. I noticed the open window and decided that was the fastest way out now. My man took out the ropes and we climbed down one at a time except for myself since I carried Xiomara down with me. We reach the ground and make our way out of the compound. As soon as we were in the clear and approaching our vehicles I felt a moment of relief.
We got to the cars and didn’t waste any time leaving. Once we were cleared I decided to ask Xiomara something that was bothering me about what she said. “What do you mean Lexy is not safe? She’s in my pack protected by my warriors and her mate” I expressed to her. “She’s not safe. He wanted you to come and rescue me to get to her” she cried out. That left me stunned but angrier than anything.
I tried to contact my pack, but I wasn’t getting through, and I was getting angrier and worried. I just had my baby girl, and someone was trying to take her away. “Tell me everything you know Xiomara” I said sternly.
Xiomara
“I’m sorry. I’m so sorry” I kept repeating to Helio. “Stop apologizing and tell me all the details” he responded coldly. “Cecel is the one behind it. His man came for her, but I helped her escape from the house. They brought me to him first, but I was blindfolded and not sure where he was located at. But the past couple of days while I’ve been in that building I could hear them talking how they were close to the price”. I took a pause and then continued to tell him what I knew.
“2 days ago, Cecel showed up to rub it in my face I guess. He said that he was going to lead you here to get his chance at taking Lexy from your pack. He had sent some of his man but when they didn’t return he knew she was with you. They hit me because I wouldn’t give them any detail of Lexy’s life” I finish telling him. “FUCK” Helio yelled out. “Hurry up and get us back. Lexy needs us” he told his man.
“I’m so sorry”. As I was going to keep apologizing he stopped me. “We will talk about everything else after we make sure Lexy, and her babies are safe”. His words left me dumbfounded. “What do you mean her babies?” I asked him. “She’s pregnant with triplets and she has 2 months before she’s due” was his response. I was left in total shock. I didn’t realize how exhausted I was that I fell asleep.
CJ
We were all knocked out in the blast and as I was getting my senses I began to panic. I couldn’t sense her or see Lexy. “LEXY, WHERE ARE YOU? ANSWER ME!” I yelled for her. A guard came running in and announced, “They took her”. I couldn’t hold the anger anymore and howled loudly. Xazul took over and we took off. ‘We have to find them’ Xazul growled out. ‘I know’ I growled back. As I ran around I noticed everyone looking for her. We couldn’t pick up her scent and that was driving us crazy.
The sun rose and still no sign. A couple of the guards and myself kept looking past the line of the pack’s property and still nothing. They just disappeared into thin air. We couldn’t help it anymore and led out a long loud howl. We returned to the pack to see if anyone picked up anything. Once in the packhouse I noticed everyone crying. “They heard your howl, and it broke everyone’s heart” Yarielis spoke up with Alex next to her holding on to her. “I’m sorry bro. We will find them and get them back home safe” said Alex.
As I was going to take off again when Helio walked through the door. “WHAT HAPPENED? WHERE IS MY DAUGHTER?” He spoke so loudly that the walls shook. Everyone bowed their heads. “They took her last night, and we can’t find any trace of them” I spoke up to him. He came walking towards me and that is when I noticed her mom. I knew it was her because of their hair.
“We will find her son. Keep your head together” Helio said to me. I took a deep breath and looked him in the eyes. “I know we will. What did you find out?” I asked him.
Helio
I was going to tell him the plan I set up, but this was not the time. CJ’s wolf is ready to tear up anything and anyone. Once I get my pack in order I’ll let him know.
