Chapter 23- The Mystery Snatcher

I’ve been watching her since the day she ran out her window. She really thinks she can run away from me; she has another thing coming. For now, I’ve been making sure I’m not noticed by anyone. I need to get my hands on her before someone finds me out. I can’t get caught in this pack. It would start a war that our pack is not ready for. Is making me sick seeing her with that soon to be beta. I had to be patient. I knew sooner or later they would let their guard down. My luck presented itself the next day when they headed to school. I overheard them speak about meeting at lunch time.
During changes of class, she went to her locker which left her all alone in the hallway. I took my chance and came from behind her, wrapped my hand around her face and placed the handkerchief that had chloroform and put it over her mouth. She began to fight me, but I was bigger and stronger. And once the chloroform touched her lips, she was done for. After 60 seconds she went limp. I picked her up and took her to the forest straight to the border of the pack where I hid the SUV. I made sure to tie her up and placed her in the back of the SUV. I got on the truck and took off with a big grin in my face.
I accomplished my mission and I know Alpha will be pleased with me. I didn’t want to get too excited and focused on getting us to our territory without getting caught. I really couldn’t stop grinning the whole time. It was going to be a bit of a long drive since it was 3hrs away halfway through I noticed I was going to need to stop soon to refuel. I didn’t want to make any stops, but it was necessary. I stopped at the next gas station I saw on our way. I looked at her and she was still knocked out. I stepped out and headed inside store. While grabbing some snacks I had the urge to use the bathroom. I took a longer pee than I thought. I came out of the bathroom and continued grabbing more snacks and a drink. I headed to the register to pay for the food and the gas. I filled the tank and got in the truck. But when I turned around to check on her, she was gone. I know she couldn’t have gone far but I sprayed her with a scent repellant.
I didn’t want anyone to follow her scent and discover me. Now I must hunt her, and she will regret it. I’m going to enjoy the hunt. I got back in the truck and drove it to a nearby empty area and hid from anyone finding easily.Once I knew the truck was hidden, I went on my hunt. I walked to the gas station and began my search from there. There was a lot of forest for her to hid but not a lot of people in the area. I used my wolf abilities to move faster in my search. But after 2hrs of looking I couldn’t find her anywhere. She was beginning to piss me off. My wolfs anger was also coming out and we were getting desperate to find her.

Lexy
It was nice to be back to school. But since I got here I’ve been feeling like I’m being watched. Even Leila has been on alert. I wasn’t focusing and became late for our 4th class. I had to stop at my locker to get the class book and notebook. Right as I finished collecting my things, someone comes from behind and puts something over my mouth. It was a horrible taste. I tried to fight it, but I was drugged and lost the battle when everything went dark. I don’t know how much time had pass but I knew I wasn’t in Stone Valley Pack anymore. I was trying to stay calm to access my situation, but I was also scared. ‘Will be ok. just breath’ Leila spoke to me. I was trying my best to stay in control. Next thing, I start smelling like something is burning. When I look down I realize is the ropes he tide me with. ‘Am I heating up again?’ I couldn’t help but ask her. ‘Is our defense Lexy. You’re free, now run’.
I don’t know why, but I decided to hide in the trunk. I heard the guy when he got in the truck and began to curse. He was really mad that I got away. That if ‘he finds out of it he’ll be dead’. Who is he? He started the truck and parked. Next thing I know it feels like everything went dark. He was hiding the vehicle. I waited 10 minutes, which felt like a lifetime. Once I felt it was enough time, I got out and looked at my surroundings. There really wasn’t much around and I wasn’t sure where I was. Plus, I was still feeling off from whatever he gave me. I went to the passenger seat and began to look for anything that could help. Couldn’t just use the truck since he took the keys with him. I thanked the moon goddess when in the middle consul was a cell phone. I grabbed it and took off in a different direction from that man.
I don’t know how far I ran but I found a small hunting cabin. I hid inside and turned the cell phone on. I began checking the phone but there was nothing in it. Almost like a new phone. I decided to just call CJ. The phone was ringing but CJ wasn’t answering. It might be because he doesn’t recognize the number. I tried again but the same thing. No response only voicemail. I left a voicemail and then sent a text message. I turned the cell phone off to preserve the battery. I’ll turn it on again later to check if he answered. I needed to make a plan and keep moving, but I was getting hot again and all I wanted was to be in CJs arms. At this point my plan was to get my temperature to go back to normal. I need to figure this out soon.
I began to feel really tired and decided to rest where I was. There was no way I could go anywhere feeling like this. ‘Rest. He can’t find us. He sprayed us with scent repellant’. Leila let me know. ‘That’s good to know. Can’t stay awake any longer’ as I said that I drifted away into dream land.

CJ
I walked into the house and my siblings can tell I was on a mission. I went upstairs and got dressed. After getting dressed, I realize I didn’t have my phone and didn’t remember where I left it at. 'Mate needs us' Xazul kept repeating to me. But he wouldn't tell me why. I headed downstairs to strategize with my parents and Alex on our next moves. The Alpha was informed and is not happy with strangers taking pack members even though, Lexy hasn’t been through our pack ceremony yet. With that she’ll be able to mind-link everyone in the pack which it would be in 2 weeks.
