Chapter 115- War

“Uugh!” I groaned out as I got up. ‘BLOOD!!’ Dion growled in fury. My growl alerted my soldiers to the intruders. She wasn’t going to get away and everyone else would cease to exist. I let Dion take over completely and I was going to enjoy the slaughter. All we were seeing now is pure red.

Dion hauled through the hallways furious on how we got taken down. ‘YOU DID!!’ he growled at me interrupting my thoughts. ‘Forget it and let’s find them now’ I retorted. I still can’t explain how he overpowers us.

CJ

We ran through the passages we took on our way in but after the commotion we had to change our route. Tarria gave the order to the next team to begin the next part of the plan. I held Lexy close and ran as fast as we could. Every step felt like an eternity, the echo of our hurried footsteps resonating through the corridors.

As we turned a corner, the air grew thick with the scent of smoke and blood. The cries of battle rang in our ears, a cacophony of chaos that urged us onward. Lexy's breaths were labored, her strength waning, but her determination was palpable.

I knew that that monster would be behind us soon. If we could make out with her, the next part of the plan will go into effect. We had to stay focused and not let fear dictate our actions. Lexy's safety was paramount, and I would ensure we made it out. Tarria stayed in front leading the way and communicating with everyone else.

Tarria let us know we were approaching the exit when we heard a monstrous growl echo through the hallway, and it was a lot closer now. “Pick up the pace. He’s a lot closer to us” I ordered everyone. Tarria took us through another hallway, and we could see the door. Tarria gave the order for the next team to begin their part.

The next team made sure to keep our exit clear of the enemy. Tarria opened the door and made sure the area was cleared. We got through the door and out into the open. I let out a breath I didn’t realize I was holding in. I looked down and her feeling a bit of relief to see her, but anger of seeing her hurt coursed through my veins.

Lexy

I was struggling to stay conscious, but as we stepped outside, I felt the breeze gently caressed on my face. A momentary calm washed over me, clearing my mind and allowing me to think straight again. I closed my eyes and took it all in, the fresh air filling my lungs and grounding me. CJ’s energy was helping me focus on myself and I began to heal myself.

I felt CJ stop running and I peaked my head out. Everyone was staring at me, and I could tell they were holding their tears back. The love they are showing me broke the damn of tears I had been holding on to. “Thank you everyone. But the war has just begun. Back to your station” CJ spoke with authority.

CJ placed me on a cod and wouldn’t stop looking at me. I knew this was not the time to be weak. “What’s the plan?” I ask CJ with determination. “First, you need to rest and gain your strength back” he said with a serious tone. I looked at him like he had just lost his mind.

“Muñeca, you have gone through a lot and need time to rest and heal. Please don’t make it difficult” he said with a more baby tone. He was trying to backtrack but couldn’t handle the look on my face. “Sit” I commanded him. He lowered his head and sat with me

I held his hand and closed my eyes. I blocked out all the chaos and focused on us. The way his body reacted let me know he understood me. I now understand mothers’ words ‘We are ONE’. I need him as much as he needs me. Not sure how long we’ve been sitting doing my healing, when we were interrupted by Tarria.

“My queen, his majesty. My apologies for disturbing you. The beast has injured a lot of our men, and they are having a hard time keeping him back” she reported. “Go to the next part of the plan” CJ responded to her. She nodded in response and left the room. “You know I’m going with you” I tell him. He gave up arguing with me and had someone bring my fighting clothes.

I was ready to end this war once and for all. “Only thing I ask is to not leave my side” CJ begged with me. “Ok” I responded to him. Before heading out I took his face and kissed him like there would be no tomorrow. I left everything I felt and needed to say in that kiss.
CJ explained the plan as we got ready, and Tarria caught me to everything that was happening in the battle. It was time to face Bael and end his terror.

Dion

I was too behind and missed her exit by minutes. That enraged me more than I was. Everyone will die until I have her back. I could taste her power when she tried to fight me. I went through where they exited from and was met with an enemy group standing in my way.

“This will be fun” I growled out. I began to viciously fight them off and severely injure them. I couldn’t get enough of the carnage I was bringing. Hearing the ripping of the flesh and the screams that come with every tear. I’m feeling amazing. Soon I will have the power to spread the carnage all over the world.
Bael

Dion’s madness consumes his rationality and is consuming me too. I’m trying to be his sanity, but he can’t hear me anymore. All I see now is rage and blood. I’m starting to let go too and sitting back to enjoy the ride. I like my lips in excitement. So delicious.
