Chapter 45- Glowing Day

Lexy
I have spent the last 2 weeks between trying to figure out where I could find my father or some trail of him and finishing the last details for Yarielis’s birthday party in 2 days. Is great because her birthday lands on a full moon and Lexy says it’ll help us get some answers. I had informed Alpha Trevor of my father but did not tell him about The Great Ancient Phoenix and royalty. I felt bad but I just needed something for myself.
I finished the translation a week ago, but I feel some of the translation doesn’t make sense. Is true what they say, ‘something’s get lost in translation’. The professor’s notes explained, ‘that it was hard to translate due to the old language is more complicated’. They noted that, ‘the complications stand from being mixed with another language’. They did their best to help me and I’m grateful for what they gave me. Best of everything is that CJ was sure to be there for no matter what, even when I would get frustrated and got snappy with him. Lei gives Xazul silent treatment during fighting and it makes me chuckle because Xazuls’ puppy face and little things he tries to do to get her to talk to him.
Today I will be meeting with Eva and Ruby to buy Yarielis’s birthday outfit along with ours, and the last details we are missing of decorations. The cake will be delivered on the morning off, and mama Sheera volunteered to do the cooking. No one would argue with that. I wanted to help but she refused to let me. In her words “Dale pa ya. I got it” and shushed me away. Waiting for the girls to show up I apparently dozed off. I randomly been taking naps without notice.

Ruby
I was excited to go shopping and spend some time away from research. I can see how much is affecting Lexy. After buying the gifts and our outfits, Eva and I planned to take her into the baby store to pick up a special handcraft blankets for the pups and for her. I don’t understand why but I feel attached to Lexy. Is like a familiar connection bond but is impossible. I don’t have my parents, but I knew who they were, and my adoptive parents made sure I knew where I came from too. Since I met Lexy there has been that pool towards her. I’ve been wanting to talk to her, but I don’t want to add more to her plate, I want to help her get her answers.

Lexy
I was woken up by CJ lightly rubbing my face when I heard her voice. Rubi being super bubbly and loud. “Hey mama. Come on, you can nap after” she said cheerfully. “And I brought you your favorite” Eva walked in with my favorite sandwich and drink. A tripleta (triple meat sandwich) with a long neck malta. “You guys are the best. How you knew I’d be hungry?” I chuckled as I answered, and they joined in the laugh. CJ grabbed the food and walked us to the truck. He opened the door for me and let me in. Once I was strapped in he handed me my food and drink. By the time everyone was in I was already biting into the sandwich. I just shrugged it off and continued to eat.
I finished eating before we got to the mall. I’m glad they brought me food because now I’m energized. We got to the mall and this time I enjoyed the whole experience. I laughed a lot and walked more without noticing it. I didn’t even notice when CJ took pictures and recorded a video of me. He showed me when we sat down to have lunch. It looked like I was completely glowing. That made me blush.

Rubi
Eva and I kept on having conversations and jokes with Lexy distracting her so not to notice where we were walking her. CJ noticed and helped us to get her before she looked up and was inside the store. Her eyes went wide, and she had stars in her eyes. It was all baby stuff and she got distracted in the toy and clothes section. At that moment I snuck to the register and spoke to the worker, and she brought out the gifts. Eva led her to the counter and when she was close we excitedly said ‘SURPRISE’. She became a bit teary eye but I said, “No crying until you open them”. That’s when she noticed there was more than one. She smiled and began to open them. The 3 small blankets had 2 wolves in the color of Xazul and Leis’. And her blanket was a pack of wolves with Lei in the middle and Xazul next to her. She cried hard but she smiled while she cried. “I LOVE IT” Lexy spoke out loud. We chuckled and hugged her. The worker gave her tissues and almost started crying too. CJ picked the gifts up and walked us back to the truck.

CJ
I’m grateful for the friends Lexy has made since moving into the pack. They have helped a lot to keep her balanced. After smiling all day, once we got in the truck she dozed right off. The girls giggled at that, but they couldn’t stop smiling and chitchatting. When made it to the house and I brought her straight to our room. I laid her on the bed and covered her with the blankets the ladies gave her. I looked at her face and she just had the biggest smile. Looking at her like that made my heart melt. Even Xazul was gushing at her. I kissed her head and walked out of the room. I went into my father’s office, and he was sitting at his desk. “Hey papi. How’s things going with the mission?” I asked straight forward.
“The scouts found from the first location were not good. The place was abandoned for a couple of months. But the reason finds are letting us know we are close” he reported as much as he could. I had started my training to take over for Beta once I’m 21. Training typically starts right after graduation but since I found my fated mate and she’s in a difficult situation, dad thought it would be perfect to begin now. I haven’t fully told Lexy about what it means and what I’ll be doing from now on.
I don’t want to hold back from her but when it comes to the situation with her mom and that Alpha, it takes her to bad place and Dr. Bennett thinks she shouldn’t stress out with triplets especially with her powers. They are getting stronger but along with her so am I. I’ve been noticing the difference in my body and my wolf.
