Chapter 33- Information

Alex walked me to the other side of the packhouse and walked about 10 more minutes until we reached a compound. I guessed this is where they kept prisoners and criminals. The guards were standing on the door and saluted Alex, and he saluted back. I just nodded my head with a weird smirk. I didn’t know what to do, so I just followed Alex. We walked in and took an elevator 2 floors down. I didn’t know what to expect but I was staying focus on the task at hand. We entered a room to the right halfway through the hallway and Alpha Trevor was there. “Good morning Alpha” I bowed quickly as I spoke to him. “Good morning Alexia. No need to bow. I just need you to listen” he said with a serious tone.
“He will be woken up soon. Ask simple but direct questions. Don’t give him any information about yourself or the pack and its members. And finally, don’t let your emotions take over. He hasn’t spoken much since we began the interrogation”. I nodded while responding “Yes, sir. I understand”. “Once he’s awake, will bring you in. I will be there with you. Good luck” he tapped my shoulder as he walked past me out of the room. I took a deep breath I didn’t know I was holding. While waiting for them to come and get me Lei began to speak to me. ‘You got this. You will get answers even if you don’t understand immediately’. ‘What’s that supposed to mean?’ I asked her curiously. ‘You’ll understand soon enough’ ‘Why are you always so vague when you tell me things’. But before she could say anything else, Alex came in and I followed him out of the room into another room 2 doors down.
As we entered the room a heavy pungent smell hit me like a ton of bricks, but I held in the disgust. I was keeping in mind what Alpha Trevor told me earlier. I stepped in with my head held high and stood where they told me. The guy had a blind fold and one of the warriors took it off and walked away along with Alex. Alpha Trevor and I were left alone with the guy. I took a deep breath and looked him straight to his face. His eyes were still closed but his smirk creeped me out. “Why are you after me?” I began my questioning. After a few seconds he responded “Wouldn’t you like to know? But don’t worry you’ll find out soon”. He began to laugh after his statement. ‘Keep asking questioning him’ Lei said with determination. I nodded and continued. “What is it about me that your boss wants? Do you know where my mother is? Is she safe?” He just kept smirking at me.
‘Can I approach him’ I mind-linked Alpha Trevor without knowing I did. It seemed to have taken him by surprise too because he flinched for a moment. He nodded to not show his moment of surprise. As I approached him I could feel the heat coursing through my body. I touched his arm and he screamed for a moment and then went silent. “I’m going to ask you again. Why are you after me?” I said with strength and resolve in my voice. “You…You’re to be mated to my Alpha” he stammered out. “Why does your Alpha want with me?” “I don’t know. But he won’t let me..” he tried to stop answering but let a scream out again. “I can’t return without you. I’m not sure why he wants you, but I think it has to do with power. It is all he cares about”. “WHO IS YOUR ALPHA?” I said sternly and loudly. “Alpha.. ALPHA PONIKE” he screamed out. “ALPHA PONIKE” screamed out Alpha Trevor. That took me out of the trans I didn’t realize I was in. “He wants her power” he sneered at Alpha Trevor. That left us in shock, but I was the only one showing it.
Alpha Trevor walked me out of the room. Once outside of the room I broke down and Alpha Trevor caught me. “Are you alright? You're hot” he asked me with a concerned tone. He picked me out and rushed me to the elevator. When the elevator doors closed once we were inside I told him “Don’t take me to the doctor. Bad. CJ..” and I felt myself drifting away. Alpha Trevor said something, but I didn’t hear him clearly.

I got a mind-link from Alpha Trevor, and I rushed to the prison. When I got there Alpha Trevor was putting cloths on her forehead. I growled at the sight but then bowed my head. He smirked at me and said “No worries. Just trying to help her out”. “I’m sorry Al….” he stopped me from talking by waving his finger gesturing no. I smiled back and went to her. Her wolf was right, I’m touching her, but I don’t feel her warm. Right when I picked her in my arms and sat down, she started to move. When I looked at her face she opened her eyes, and they were glowing orange again. She put her hand on my cheek gently and said “Getting closer to the truth. Great things are approaching. I love you”. She leaned into my chest and fell asleep snuggling to my chest.
“What happened?” I asked Alpha Trevor. “She actually got him to talk. Her eyes glowed like that too. She touched him and after getting answers out of him I saw her eyes glow like they were on fire” he responded. That’s when I noticed his hands. “You need medical attention Alpha. Did you touch her?” He waved me off and responded with a nod. “She wouldn’t let me take her to the doctor. She said ‘Bad’ and then passed out”. “What’s going on with the doctor?” he asked with curiosity. When the doctor saw her last time, she did the same thing. My parents were looking into that. They were going to let you know once they had proof” I scratched the back of my head as I answered him. Will discuss that later get her some rest. Tonight is a big night for both of you.
