When we got home Romeo’s phone started ringing, I knew it would be my dad so I left Romeo to deal with whatever he wanted to do. I knew I wasn’t ready to deal with any of it. I walked straight to our room and started to get undress as I went. To tell you the truth I actually just want to crawl into bed and never come out. I can’t believe my dad actually said that and so loud that everyone could hear him, he was insulting in so many ways. It really didn’t matter that Romeo indeed fucked me in a dark corner, that was our business we wanted it to happen. My head was a mess. I put the dress in its place in the walk-in closet, put my jewelry away, basically I was on auto pilot. I really didn’t want to wash my face but I knew I had to get rid of all the makeup. When I was done Romeo was still not in the room, that made me wonder did he actually took the call from my dad because there was no way it wasn’t him.
I just got into bed when Romeo walked in “I take it it was my dad calling you?” “It was but I ignored his call.” “Oh” “But right after your dad called Tom called and told me to take good care of you and he will tell Brad to stop calling us.” “Then he must have phoned me to my phone is on silent.” “Let’s forget him for the night darling it’s just you and me, okay?” “Okay.” Romeo went to the bathroom to get ready for bed when he came out, I was staring at the ceiling still hearing my dad’s words. “Jenn please stop.” He said as he got into bed. “I can’t, I’m sorry his words are on repeat in my head.” “Then let’s talk about the wedding or anything else to get your mind of him.” “There’s not much to say after our big fight and everything that went on at the bakery today, I didn’t have time to think about the wedding or call the wedding planner.” “And your dress?” “Please Romeo I have enough things to deal with tonight I don’t want to cry about the fact that I don’t even have a dress yet.” He pulled me towards him, I was laying with my head on his chest and Romeo was playing with my hair. “You don’t need to stress I’ll give you the number of someone that works for Vera Wang, they will sort you out. You’ll have a dress I can promise you that.” “You not serious?” “Off course I am anything else I can help you with?” “No just hold me tonight that is all I need.” “It will be my pleasure.”

I was playing with Jennifers hair and just holding her like she asked and before I knew it, she was a sleep, which I was grateful for I mean tonight wasn’t one of the best nights and I know she had issues at the bakery as well. I wished I could make all her problems disappear and in a way I could but I won’t I know she wants to be an independent woman and I will help her to be just that. I just need to talk to her about the other premises for her bakery. I should make a metal note of that and then there is Brad what the fuck are we going to do about him. I won’t be able to go and see him tomorrow I think he should sweat a bit. I need to find out what is cooking with Sebastian because there is no way I’ll be the big fish he is giving up to the DEA I will never allow it. I’ve come this far staying of law enforcements books, I won’t be on their raider now.

The next morning, I woke up to an empty bed, clearly, I got used to sleeping later than 3:30 am but my soon to be husband is an early riser. I got up and went for a shower and got ready for work, I went through my to-do-list in my head I wanted to start with the new bakery’s equipment today that is if Eleanor has everything under control, then I need to get a contractor to put the equipment in and build a counter where the coffee machine will stand and the display fridge, fuck I had a lot to do. When I was done, I went looking for Romeo, I heard him in his office screaming at someone. I knocked then I heard him say “Come in darling.” “How did you know it was me?” I asked him as I walked up to him to give him a kiss. When I was in front of him, he pulled me closer, the desk was at my back and Romeo in front of me basically I was trapped between the two. He pulled me towards him and put his head on my stomach. “Rough day already?” I asked. “Let’s just say I wish this day is over already.” I lifted his head and kissed him; he quickly took over the kiss but that I didn’t mind.
When he pulled away, he said “We need to talk about your 2nd bakery.” “Oh” That was a quick change in direction. “I’m listening.” “It’s yours Jenn, all the paper work has been done, we can sign the paper work as soon as its get’s back from the attorneys.” “Oh, wow thank you Romeo.” “It’s only a pleasure darling. Then the building has construction workers or handy men I’ll let the real estate agent send you all their details, okay?” “You are saving me so much work.” “Anything I can do. Oh yes and I send the information of Vera Wang to you.” I grabbed him around the neck and started to kiss him on his fore head, cheeks, mouth, ears. “Thank you thank you.” At least that made him smile which is a big improvement than when I walked into his office. He looked seriously troubled when I walked in.
