I showed my men to start to walk back to the house clearly, I wasn’t going to get any answers here and shooting them right in front of my house wouldn’t be a very good plan, would it? We walked backwards still looking at them, you never know who is brave enough to shoot us in the back. When we got back on my property 2 of my guys closed the gate and locked it. “What are we going to do boss?” Lucas asked. “Francois is coming tonight I’ll let him sort it out.” “Okay boss but we need to get rid of Sebastian and soon.” “I know Lucas I know.” I went to my office highly irritated with the whole situation for some reason I want to take it out on someone and Brad sounded like the right victim. I was definitely not going to take it out on Jennifer not after everything she went through and besides, I will never take out my bad mood on her.
I dialed his number and he actually answered immediately. “Romeo to what do I owe the pleasure?” He said sarcastically. It’s clear he doesn’t understand how angry Jenn really is with him. “Well first off all, Jenn is at home.” “Okay” was really all he had to say. “And then I went through all the spread sheets you send me.” “All of them?” “Yes, Brad all of them, I knew which one’s were sent to waste my time and which one’s had the information I needed.” “Fine and?” “And someone is laundering money through your company not to mention the person that is stealing from you.” “Don’t talk shit Romeo. I would have known if someone was laundering money.” “And how would you know Brad do you even know how to do it?” He was quiet for a while. “No but how do you know?” He asked me. “I just know okay.” “And who would it be or is it an imaginary person?” He was really working on my last nerve at this stage. “I’ll come in tomorrow we need to fire your whole finance team.” “What the fuck?” “I’m just telling you who it is Brad.” “We can’t fire my whole finance department Romeo.” “Well, that is where the problem lies do you really want to be audited and get caught out for laundering money if you didn’t know about it? You do know you go to jail for that right?” “Off course I do.” “Give me time to think about it, we can sort this out on Monday.” “Fine but don’t say I didn’t warn you. I’ll see you Monday at 10 am.” Then I disconnected the call I don’t really care if he has that time available or not. There was a small knock on my office door and then the door opened revealing Jenn. “Darling what are you doing out of bed?” “I thought I’ll walk around a bit before I feel tired again.” “Come here.” She walked over to me; I pulled her towards me and placed my head on her stomach. She tried to rub my back with her one good arm. “You tired as well Romeo.” “I’m fine darling.” “No, you not you need sleep.” “I’ll sleep tonight I just have a meeting at 9 then I’ll come up.” “I’ll set an alarm and make sure you in bed by 11.” “Oh really.” I teased her. I slowly took her around the waist and let her sit on my lap. “Why are you so upset?” I couldn’t believe she could see it I thought I hidden it from her. “Are they still following us?” I didn’t want to lie to her but I also didn’t want her to stress. “I’ll sort it out darling don’t stress about it please. My meeting tonight is with a guy I know from the FBI we’ll sort it out.” “Okay I’ll leave it to you but I’m not going out of the house until it’s sorted.” “I won’t let you.” I gave her a kiss on her cheek. “Ready for dinner?” “I could eat.” We got up and walked to the dinning room, Luna was already ready for us. When we sat, she brought out the food, Steak, vegtables and patotos were on the menu. “Thank you, Luna.” She poured me some wine and Jenn got a coke zero her favourite.
Jennifer cut into her steak and took a bite, “This is delicious.” “Maybe you just hungry darling.” “Well, it seems like all I do is sleep and eat.” “That is what your body needs to get healthy so you can sleep and eat as many times as you wish.” “You wouldn’t say that if I gained a few pounds because I’m not active and the only thing I do is sleep and eat.” “Darling that is what your body needs and I’m very sure I won’t even notice you picking up a pound or two.” “Clever safe there Mister.” “I wasn’t born yesterday darling.” Then we both laughed.
After dinner I went to the living room and watched some reality show with Jennifer. She didn’t want to go to bed right away she wanted to spend some time with me in my arms to be exact. She layed with her head on my lap watching TV I on the other hand was not really interested in what was on TV but I will stay here if it helps Jenn. I would do anything for her and that is something I realized the past few days. I mean I would never have slept in the hospital with my ex-wife never but for her I did it. After 30 minutes I could feel her breathing softly clearly, she was asleep already. I slowly moved out from under her and carried her to the room. She was out she didn’t even wake up while I carried her. When she was safely in bed, I walked down to my office now I had to wait for Francois and tonight we will get a solution for the men outside my house of that, I was sure.
