Chapter 243
Jennifer
To say I didn’t do much the past 3 days in Switzerland was an understatement. I stayed at home the whole time, watching TV, sitting in front of the fire place and sleeping that is what I did. I have no idea how the town look where we are. Was I a bit sad about it, I can’t say I was. I think deep down I was too afraid to go out and walk around I can’t just think about myself anymore. When I got the call from Romeo telling me the nightmare is over, I burst into tears. Finally, I can go home, finally we are safe again and we can start our lives together without worrying about anything. I was so relieved. It was still dark outside but I wanted to start packing I wanted to go to the airport as soon as Romeo tells us the pilot is ready for us, I was so ready to go home. Needless to say, I didn’t sleep at all after the call.
When morning came around, I was up dressed in a nice soft set of lounge wear perfect for the flight. I grabbed a thick jacket and walked down stairs. I was walking down as Elijah was walking up. “Morning Elijah.” I said happier than I’ve been in days. “Morning Jennifer, I see you’ve heard the good news?” “I did, now when are we leaving?” “As soon as you are ready.” “I’m ready.” “I’ll go and fetch your luggage.” Thank you, Elijah.” I walked to the kitchen I wanted to thank Suzie for the great food she made, for some reason I didn’t have any morning sickness while we where here. “Jennifer, I’m hearing you are leaving us?” “Yes, but first I want to thank you for your hospitality and your amazing food I don’t know what you put in the food but thank you I wasn’t sick one day since I’ve been here.” “It’s my pleasure Jennifer I’ll call your cook in Las Vegas and give her the chicken soup recipe maybe she can make it for you to.” “That would be awesome thank you Suzie.” She gave me a hug when she pulled away, she gave me a flask and a Tupperware container. “For the flight, some chicken soup and bread.” “You are absolutely the best Suzie thank you so much.” “Hopefully we see you again soon then you can go out and explore.” “I’ll tell Romeo we should come back.” “See you soon then.” She said as I walked out of the kitchen straight to the front door where her husband Frankie was standing, waiting for me. “Thank you, Frankie,” I said as I got in the SUV waiting for us. I was like a child on Christmas day I couldn’t wait to get home, to see Romeo to sleep in my own bed, to go to my bakery I just couldn’t wait anymore.
When we got to the airport the same pilot and air hostess was waiting for us, “Good morning Mrs. Bianchi.” “Good morning” I greeted them. I went to take my seat and put my soup and bread in the chair opposite me, the air hostess came to me “Can I put that in the kitchen.” “Yes, please I’ll have that for lunch if you don’t mind.” “No problem something I can get you when we are in the air for breakfast?” “Just toast and tea please.” “No problem.” Everyone was settled in and the pilot announced that we will be taking off in 10 minutes, it was a 12-hour flight. I thought it was long but at least it’s the last long flight for a very long time. I don’t think I want to travel again very soon. When we where in the air and the seatbelt lights went of the air hostess brought my tea and my toast. Which I at least could keep down. After my breakfast I started to get tired which, I was expecting as I didn’t sleep the night before I was to excited to get home to Romeo. I reclined my chair all the way to the back took the blanket that was lying on the seat, covered myself and I was asleep in no time at all.
Romeo
On our way back from Sante Fe the adrenaline was still high and we where all drinking and celebrating our victory. I was so tired but I just couldn’t sleep I was to excited that all this is behind us and we can eventually start our life together and no one is going to bother us again. I decided on the trip back to Las Vegas that Lucas will be dealing with the cocaine suppliers from now on, that part of the business will be his responsibility I don’t want this to ever happen again, the rest of the stuff I’m involved in won’t come to my door step, they are not the cartel. I had to get my priorities straight from now on Jennifer and our baby should be top and I should make sure no one and I mean no one comes close to them, close enough to hurt them ever again.
I called Lucas “Lucas can we talk?” “Off course boss.” He said I took him to the back of the plane “I want to ask you a favor.” “Anything boss you know it.” “I want you to take over the cocaine business, I don’t want to be involved in that side of the negotiations or deal with the cartel anymore.” “Off course I will do it.” “You will have to find me a new body guard because they will take up most of your time.” “Noah is ready boss.” “That was fast.” “I’ve been training the guys since I got them, you never know what happens to me and then there should be someone to be able to take over from me so that is why I’m telling you Noah is ready.” “Well then call him over here and let’s make it official before we get home.” Lucas called Noah. “Yes boss?” He asked as he came to stand with us, Noah wasn’t a guy that talked much so I didn’t know how this was going to work but if Lucas tells me his ready then I trust him. “I want to make you head of my security.” Noah looked at me and then back at Lucas, “You serious boss?” “Yes, that is if you want to except it? Lucas is going to handle the cartel from now on.” “Off course I’ll except it boss it would be an honor.” “Good thank you Noah, you will start tomorrow.” And just like that two of my men where promoted.
The pilot told us we should get ready to land. Everyone got quiet as we sat down and buckled up. A few hours of sleep and then my wife my love will be home I couldn’t wait and I couldn’t be happier to be at home.
