We walked down stairs and I went straight to the dining room, it was clear Jenn didn’t eat this afternoon. “I thought you wanted to talk about something or should I say my dad.” “How do you know?” “He called me a few times today but I didn’t answer.” “That was a very good choice. But I think we should eat first then we can go to my office and talk about your dad.” We sat and Luna brought out the food tonight it was my favorite lasagna with garlic bread exactly what I needed after this cluster fuck of a day. I though dealing with Sebastian and his cousin is difficult work but Brad’s business was worst. We ate in silence for a while before I asked her “So what did you do today?” “I went to the florist made sure all the flowers were ordered and the florist had my vision on paper.” “And?” “Everything is perfect.” “That’s good to hear I received a few RSVP’s but I didn’t have time to check them yet.” “No problem after we speak about what upset you so much today, we can talk about the RSVP list.” If she only knows it will upset her even more especially what happened to the girls at the casino, I should ask her to come with me to the meeting. “Let me start to say it was a very very difficult day and I know you don’t want to get involved in your father businesses but I might need your help.” “Okay that sounds ominous.” “When I got to your father office today no one tried to stop me from going in which was a red flag in itself, the general working area was so quiet and people actually looked physically sick when I reached your father’s PA Sonja she was near tears and told me I didn’t want to go in there.” “He was having one of his tantrums?” she asked me. “Do you know about them?” “Some of the people will phone me especially Sonja and tell me but she hasn’t called me in a long time I though it was sorted.” I took the stack of files from my briefcase and put it in front of her. “What is this?” “This is complaints about your dad Jenn every single one of them.” “What do they complain about money because he is very stingy.” “Jennifer this is really really serious most of these complaints is about how he treats the people you know I’m in the Mafia, fuck we don’t even talk to our people the way your father talks to his staff, his staff Jennifer, staff that is supposed to carry on and work for your legacy.” She opens one of the files and I know which one I put on top the one where he calls a lady fat and worthless and she would do better if she begged on the streets. “He didn’t.” She said in shocked. “There is few of them Jenn.” She open the file on Josh and I knew what that said as well, it said he was a pussy and can’t do his work he was a useless piece of shit. “Oh my God Josh is such a sweet guy.” “Jenn, I wish you could have seen him today he was on the verge of being physically sick. I called in all the staff and spoke to them.” “Wait where was my father.” “Sorry Jenn I send him home.” “And he left?” “Against his will but he left.” “Okay you call in all the staff what happened then?” “To say all of them was scared shitless is an understatement but I calmed all of them down and there shouldn’t be any resignation soon.” “If my father goes back, he will just do the same.”
“That is where I need your help, we need to make him go on early retirement.” “He will never.” “Jennifer, I haven’t told you the worse of it all.” “It gets worse that this?” she asked pointing at the files. “Much much uglier in fact.” “Okay let me get a glass of water.” She got up pour herself a glass of water and a scotch for me then she came to sit with me again. “Okay I’m listening.” “I asked Sonja to phone Bruno to come to a meeting tomorrow morning. He refused so I phoned him and fired him.” “And he said you should go fuck yourself?” “Basically” “I hate that guy he is really a dick.” “You have no idea.” “When I got to the Casino, he had more security trying to keep me out of the Casino. I talked nicely.” “Like threatening them?” “Yes basically.” “Good.” “At the end everyone was behind me we marched up to Bruno’s office and when I open the door, he was fucking his PA.” There was a look of shock on Jenn’s face. “But he wasn’t just fucking her Jenn he had her bonded to his desk and he was hitting her on the back she was bleeding.” “NO!” “Yes Jenn, it was even horrific for me.” I asked the men to take her to the hospital and get her checked out. I fired Bruno although he fought with me then I threaten him with my gun.” “You should have shot him.” That got me off guard. “That was not the end of it Jenn, the HR guy was raping all the staff that was working for him. I fired him to and I’m letting the women give my attorney statements I’m going to blacklist Bruno and this fucking Mr. White.” “Good now what do you need from me? How are we going to fix this?” “That is exactly the words I needed to hear from you Jenn. I need you to be the friendly face when we go to the meeting tomorrow morning.” “But the interior designers are coming tomorrow.” “Luna can handle them we really need to sort this out.” “Okay I’ll be by your side and we will get my father to retire even if it’s the last thing we do, even if I really have to get involved in the business.”
