Jennifer
I was busy at the back, in the kitchen when Eleanor called me for an order, it must be a big order because normally Eleanor will take it herself. When I walked out, I could see Elijah sitting on my favorite spot. “This is the owner, Jennifer.” “Jennifer this lady wants to order some cupcakes.” “Thank you, Eleanor. How can I help you?” She had a big sunhat on and big glasses it was like she was hiding from someone. “I just wanted to see who Romeo is getting married to. Why you I won’t know you so, so plain.” She said waving her hand in front of me. Elijah must have recognized her when she took the hat and glasses off. I didn’t know what to say I just looked at her, I mean what do you say to that. “So, I take it you don’t want to order cupcakes?” I ended up saying. “Does it look like I eat cupcakes?” she asked showing off her body. Elijah was with me within seconds. “Mrs. Bianchi please don’t make a scene here let me walk you out.” “Oh goodness Elijah my dear are you the babysitter?” “Mrs. Bianchi please.” “Don’t call me that I’m not married to that mother fucker anymore.” I didn’t know what to do I left Romeo’s ex with Elijah and helped my customers. I didn’t want to get involved in a cat fight or any fight for that matter. I heard the customers speaking among each other about the mad women that would be Romeo’s ex but luckily, she didn’t put them off in fact she made them buy more. Clearly my customers like drama totally opposite of me I avoid drama that is why I’ve never stood up to my dad or Kyle or even my friends. Elijah was assisting Romeo’s ex out the door and helped her to her limo while I was still busy in the front.
“Next please?” I said and as I looked up, I looked into two very angry eyes. “Kyle” “Yes bitch it’s me.” He walked around the counter and grabbed me around the neck and pushed me up against the wall I cried out “Eleanor Eleanor!” Luckily the rush of customers where done. Eleanor came running out the kitchen hitting Kyle on the back “Leave her alone.” But all Kyle did was put more pressure on my throat. He was screaming at me that “I told you it was you banning me from the clubs.” I tried to say “It wasn’t” then he screamed “Well your fiancé then but it was you and you will fix it.” Just before I passed out from a lack of oxygen I fell to the ground as Kyle was ripped off me by Elijah. Eleanor was right by my side, “Breath child breath” she kept on saying breath believe me it was a struggle but eventually I could breathe a bit better but it was sore. I heard in the distance Elijah screaming “If I ever see you again, I will kill you, Kyle.” “You won’t.” Kyle screamed back. That’s when Elijah hit him, he hit him so hard Kyle fell to the ground hitting his head on the pavement. “Get up and leave now.” Elijah screamed at him. But Kyle was still lying on the ground. “If I have to help you up, I’m going to hit you again this is your choice Kyle get up!” Elijah screamed at him, by this time I was standing at the front of the bakery looking at what was going on outside, I was still struggling to breath I don’t know if he broke something but it was actually sore to breath. Eleanor was next to me again “Are you okay Jenn?” “I’m struggling to breath.” I told her struggling to talk. She went out to Elijah then both of them came back into the bakery. “Jennifer Eleanor said you are struggling to breath.” “Yes” “Close the store Eleanor, I’m taking her to the ER.” Before I know what was happening, I was in Elijah’s arms he was carrying me to the car when he got in the car Elijah drove like a maniac, we were at the ER in no time and actually at the ER my doctor works from.
Elijah carried me into the ER demanding to see Dr. Jacobs. “What happened?” The ER nurse asked but I couldn’t talk it was a mission to keep on breathing. “Her ex-boyfriend strangled her.” Elijah said to the ER nurse. “And this here?” She pointed at my stiches at the bruise “That will also be him.” “And you are?” She asked Elijah “Well I was her bodyguard I’m not sure I’ll have work after today.” Elijah said. Then I saw Dr. Jacobs coming around the corner. “Jennifer oh God was this Kyle again?” Elijah answered for me “Yes doc.” “Where were you?” The doctor asked Elijah. “Escorting the previous Mrs. Bianchi out of the bakery.” “Oh fuck” he said totally out of character. Dr. Jacobs started to examine me while Elijah walked out probable to call Romeo. “Open” The doctor said. I open my mouth for him “I don’t see anything let’s get an x-ray just to make sure.” The guy with the x-ray machine walked to me put something on my chest then did the x-ray. “Nothing is broken, I think it’s shock Jenn I’m going to sit you on oxygen and sit with you making you breath okay.” I shook my head yes. He put the oxygen mask over my mouth and sit next to me on the bed. “Okay take a breath in.” I did that then the doctor said and “out” “in out” We did that until I felt I could breathe on my own, it took a while. After a solid 30 minutes the doctor took of the oxygen mask “Okay now on your own.” He said. I could start to breath on my own clearly it was just shock.
I heard someone screaming "Where is she? Where is Jennifer Rynn? “I’m guessing your fiancé has arrived?” The doctor said with a smile “It would appear so.” I smiled back at him.
