Romeo
As soon as I disconnected the call with Brad, I called my contact at the police. “Romeo” “JP hey man I need your help.” “Anything.” That was the thing with my contact at the police as well as the FBI I could ask them anything. “We had an incident last night. I need you to open a case of motor vehicle accident I’ll send you the address and the two people that was in the accident but I need it done asap.” “Off course send me the details and I’ll do it right away.” “Thanks JP.” “No problem.” When that was sorted, I walked to Elijah’s room I needed to see how he was doing. “Elijah” “Boss” he said as he tried to sit up straight in bed. “Don’t get up I just wanted you to know Jennifer is okay she’s awake and wanted to know how you are doing?” “That’s amazing news boss thank you.” “What did the doctor say about you?” “I can go home later today boss.” “That’s great news, please look after yourself I’m very sure Jenn wouldn’t want another bodyguard especially not after what you went through.” “I won’t give her up boss.” “Good” Then I turned around and walked out, I was happy the two of them were getting on I mean they spend most of their time together so that was a good thing. When I got back to Jenn’s room Lucas was back with chicken soup and freshly baked bread. “Thank you, Lucas.” I said as I took it from him. I walked into the room and put it on the tray. Clearly the smell woke her up.

I woke up to the smell of chicken soup and freshly baked bread I could feel the drool gathering in my mouth. “Hi” Romeo said. “You still here?” I asked him. “Off course darling I’m not going anywhere not until you leave the hospital.” “You really don’t have to stay here Romeo it must be so uncomfortable.” “I really don’t care darling I’m not leaving your sight. Lucas got us some chicken soup and fresh bread.” “It smells delicious.” Romeo moved the tray closer to me and helped me to sit up straight moving the bed and putting the pillows behind my back. “I can get use to this.” I joked with him. “I’ll do anything for you Jenn I just don’t want you in a hospital.” He was very serious very quickly. He gave me a piece of bread and I took the liberty of putting as much butter on it as I could. Romeo didn’t say a word he didn’t even look at me funny. I dipped the bread in the chicken and took a bite, I moaned. “Is it that good?” He asked “If you as hungry as me then yes it’s delicious.” Both Romeo and I ate in silence clearly, he was just as hungry as I was, he probable didn’t eat last night. “What’s going to happen now Romeo?” I asked him. “What do you mean?” “About the guy that did this.” “Well darling at the moment, his being followed by the DEA so we can’t get to him but I’m thinking of a plan to get him away from them and then I’m going to kill him no one else will do it just me. I want him to look me in the eye when I do it. He went after the person that means the most to me and he will pay.” I took his hand and just squeezed it. “I’m right here babe.” “You still in a hospital and it’s still his damn fault.” “I know.” When we were done with the soup, I had another question “And my security?” I knew he will tighten it and I wasn’t sure I’ll like it. “Well Elijah has a broken shoulder and leg he won’t be able to be your bodyguard for at least 6 weeks so Levi will take over from him and Paul.” “You want me to have 2 bodyguards?” “Darling if I have my way, I’ll wrap you in bubble wrap and make sure you won’t go anywhere. So, I’m giving you the option 2 bodyguards or staying at home in bubble wrap.” I laughed at him and said “I guess I take option 1.” “Good decision but for the next few weeks you won’t be able to do anything we might even have to postpone the wedding.” “No Romeo NO we are not postponing the wedding.” I actually got upset. Postponing the wedding will just give my dad more chances to pull us apart. “Okay Jenn we won’t don’t get this upset about it. I just thought you might not want to walk down the aisle with a broken arm.” “I’ll crawl down the aisle Romeo, I don’t want to give my father more time to pull us apart.” “Okay Jenn I see your point and I’m sure we don’t have to go to such drastic steps. He actually told me he will be checking my story about your accident.” “Fuck Romeo what now I’m sure you didn’t involve the police last night?” “No, I didn’t but I have contacts and a police report is being opened don’t worry Jenn I’ve got this under control.” “Okay I’ll try and relax.” “You can’t try you have to or the doctor will never let you go home. And I really want you to go home.” “Me to Romeo me to.”
After the delicious soup I was tired again but I didn’t want to be alone “Will you lay with me?” I asked Romeo. “I don’t know how the nurses will feel about that.” He said. “I really don’t care what they say please Romeo, pretty please.” I didn’t have to ask him again as he climb into bed with me. I laid my head on his shoulder he started to rub my back, within seconds I was fast asleep. Clearly, I felt safe with him as always.
