Romeo
On our way home Jennifer fell asleep against my shoulder, I was sure she was tired after the day she had I decided to take a little bit of her responsibility on me, I’m sure she will either be happy or berate me for mingling in her business. I called the bakery. “Hi can I speak to Eleanor please?” I asked the person that answered. “It’s Eleanor speaking.” “Hi Eleanor it’s Romeo.” “Oh, please tell me Jennifer is, okay?” “She is it was shock nothing is broken; we are on our way home.” “That’s wonderful news.” “Eleanor, I want to ask you a favor.” “Anything.” “Will you be able to open and close the store by yourself for the rest of the week if you have anyone else you can get in to help you, I will pay their salary if the bakery can’t afford it.” “I’m sure the bakery can afford another hand Romeo it’s just Jenn wanted to keep everything close to the vest.” “Which I understand it is her baby but I think she needs to rest the rest of the week and I want her to take on more of an managers post in her own bakery maybe open another one or two bakeries.” “Oh my God you will make her dreams come true she always dreamed of opening more bakeries.” “Well then, we will make it happen will you be okay alone? I’m trusting you with Jenn’s baby.” “I won’t disappoint Romeo you just take care of her.” “I will thank you Eleanor.”
We stopped at my house and I tried to get Jenn out of the SUV without her waking up but she did. “It’s okay Romeo I’ll Walk; Elijah needs to take me back to the bakery.” “Oh no Eleanor will close the bakery and open it the rest of the week I already spoke to her if you want to be upset you can fight with me later now you are going to bed.” She just looked at me wondering probable if she should fight with me “You know what Romeo I don’t have the energy, thank you.” I swept her of her feet and carried her to my room where I put her on the bed. “Should I help you get undress?” “No, I’m fine.” She took of all her cloths and got into bed naked without any worries or being self-conscious which was so attractive. I closed the block out curtains and blinds made sure she was comfortable then went looking for Elijah.
I found Elijah in my office waiting for me. “Boss I’m so sorry I should have been there but ….” “But nothing Elijah what happened today shouldn’t have happen at all.” “I know boss but the former Mrs. Bianchi was in the bakery making a scene.” “What? Francesca was there?” “Yes, boss she was going on about you marrying Jennifer and how there was nothing special to Jennifer….” I interrupted him “Francesca is in Las Vegas? You sure?” “Yes, boss I saw her with my own two eyes when I called her Mrs. Bianchi, she threw a scene that is when I escorted her out of the bakery and Kyle must have slipped in.” I still couldn’t get my head around the fact that my ex was in Las Vegas. “What did Jennifer do?” “She didn’t entertain her at all she went on helping her customers.” Fuck this girl is crawling deeper and deeper into my heart, not entertaining Francesca would have irritated her immensely and I could see her making a scene. “Elijah it’s okay I won’t fire you; Jennifer already asked me not to she said it wasn’t your fault but she didn’t bring up Francesca.” “Clearly she had other things on her mind boss.” “Elijah find out where Francesca is I need a word with her.” “On it boss I took the registration number of the limo she was driving in.” “Limo nice I’m glad my money could give her a life of luxury.” I said bitterly.

I woke up with a huge headache I don’t know if it was the shortage of oxygen or just hunger. I open the blinds and saw it was already dark outside. Goodness did I sleep the whole afternoon to tell the truth I could go back to bed right now. I decided to take a quick shower washing of the hospital then got into my PJ’s and went looking for Romeo. I found him coming up the stairs. “Darling I was just coming up to check on you.” “Here I am.” I said with a smile “How are you feeling?” “I’ve got a headache not sure if it’s because of hunger of the lack of oxygen.” “Maybe both let’s go get you something to eat.” He took my hand and we walked downstairs to the dinning room. “Food is ready.” He said. Luna came in with our food it looked delicious, lam with potatoes and vegetables. “Thank you, Luna it looks delicious.” “I hope you enjoy it.” She said before she left Romeo and I alone. I cut the lam it was so soft and delicious. I must have moaned because Romeo said “I like that sound.” I could feel myself blush “Don’t blush darling I like it but to more unpleasant business I heard you had an encounter with my ex-wife today.” Romeo said, I almost choked on the bite I’ve taken before he said that. “Indeed, I did, interesting women.” “Really?” “No, she’s rude and entitled.” Romeo laughed at that “What’s so funny?” “You just described her in 2 words and so accurately.” “Well, that is what she showed me. Did you know she was in Las Vegas I though she stayed in Los Angeles?” “No Jenn I didn’t know she was here but I have to tell you I am meeting with her to find out what she’s doing here.” “No problem, Romeo.” “Aren’t you going to throw a tantrum because I’m seeing my ex or fight with me?” He asked surprised. “Why would I you divorced I’m not jealous Romeo, I trust you.” “Wow Jenn you are really a remarkable woman.” “Not really Romeo I just trust the man that made the rules for me and said he won’t betray me or cheat on me. I know you take that agreement just as serious as I do.” “Indeed, I do Jenn, thank you for your trust in me.” “You haven’t given me a reason not to trust you, Romeo.” “I’ll keep it that way darling I promise.” “Now shall we talk about what happened with my dad?”
