I woke up with a lot of people around me, I didn’t know where I was or what was going on the last, I remember we were in the flea market. I heard a soft voice saying “Miss you are in the hospital you fainted.” Some one was checking my blood pressure then I saw a familiar face Martin or should I say Dr. Martin. “Jenn there you are, you gave us quite a fright.” “Is my baby, okay?” “We will do a sonar examine now and make sure, how are you feeling?” “Still dizzy, clammy and just not well.” “You had a panic attack while you where in the flea market you stop breathing and that is why you fainted.” “Where is Romeo?” “His standing outside waiting to come in we just need to make sure all your vitals are in order before we can let him come in.” “Can he be here when you do the sonar?” “Yes, off course I’ll call him. I see the blood pressure is still a bit on the high side, but that is probable expected with the panic attack and all. Please you need to take it easy the next few days.” “I’m trying.” “I want to say try harder.” “I’ll try.” “I’ll go and call Romeo for you.” While the doctor was out another nurse came over and ask me to lift my shirt. She put some very cold gel on my stomach when she took the wand to press on my stomach, I immediately stopped her. “Can we please wait for my husband?” “Yes, off course.”
Romeo came running into the room “Jenn please God tell me you, okay?” “I’m okay Romeo and the baby?” “We are going to check now?” He grabbed my hand and kissed me on the forehead, before she started to move the wand over my stomach. At one point she pressed a little harder and then we heard the sound of a heartbeat, clearly not me or Romeo saw Martin come into the room. “There is your baby’s heart beat.” “Wow it’s so strong.” Romeo said. “It is so you have nothing to worry about mom baby is as healthy as a horse.” “That’s a relive.” “Can we see the sex of the baby?” Romeo asked. “No sorry, not yet. She’s not far enough yet. But he or she is healthy and still there that is all that counts.” “It is.” I said I couldn’t believe how relieved I was, yes, I talked about abortion but I can’t even think about that now, just the thought of losing the baby made me so afraid and sad. “When can I go home?” “We can discharge you know.” “She was just unconscious Martin how can you send her home?” “It was just a panic attack there is nothing we can do for her here. You need to keep her relaxed and try and not put her in situations where she will panic.” Easier said than done. I thought. “Thank you, Martin.” Romeo said shaking his hand. “My pleasure if there is anything and I mean anything I can do for you just call me.” “I will thank you.”
Romeo
When they called me to come into Jenn’s room, I was already beside myself, I had no idea what I was going to find behind the curtain. Luckily, I found Jennifer that was awake and alert, thank fuck for that, she scared me shitless. I was more worried about her than the baby but when I saw she was fine the next thing on my mind was our little nugget. They did a sonar and we could hear the heart beat that was the most beautiful sound I have ever heard in my life. Obviously, I wanted to know if it was a boy or a girl but apparently it was still to soon to tell. When Martin said she could go home I was relieved but also worried I mean she just fainted she was unconscious for a few minutes. But apparently there was nothing they could do for her in the hospital I just needed to keep her calm and away from stressful situations, that was much easier said than done. I don’t know her triggers yet, obviously a lot of people are one of them but she can’t avoid people for the rest of her life her business won’t make it. Now we have to find a way to work through that and find out what her other triggers are.
When everyone was out of the room, I helped Jennifer of the bed as soon as she was standing, I held her in my arms. “Fuck angel don’t scare me like that again, I thought I was going to lose you.” “I won’t Romeo.” “Or should I say I’ll try not to pass out again.” “Good because I can’t lose you not now not ever.” “And I can’t lose you, please take me home.” “My pleasure.” We walked hand in hand out of the room where Lucas and Elijah were waiting for us also very eager to know if Jennifer and the baby was okay. “We are all good guys.” “Thank God.” Elijah and Lucas said. We walked to the SUV that was still standing in the Emergency entrance, there was a security guard that was yapping on about us not being allowed to stand there but none of us gave him any attention. “Where to boss?” “Home please Lucas.” Jennifer laid her head on my shoulder and fell asleep before we where even out of the parking lot.
When we got home, I gave Jenn a kiss on the forehead, “Angel we’re home.” She opened her eyes and looked around, realizing we are at the home in Hawaii. How long did she think she slept. I got out of the SUV then I helped her out of the SUV. We walked hand in hand into the house, I could smell Rebecca was very busy in the kitchen and it smelled delicious. “I’m going to bed it you don’t mind Romeo.” “Not at all but aren’t you going to eat first?” “No, I’m really not hungry I just want to sleep.” “No problem I’ll Walk you to the room.” “I’m okay Romeo I’m sure I can make it there on my own.” “Oh no I’m taking you to the room and making sure you are tucked in.” So, I walked with her tucked her in, closed all the curtains making the room so dark you couldn’t see any light then I walked down stairs to go and work a bit.
