As we basically carried Brad to my office he was screaming at us, I was just happy that Jenn was upstairs busy with Eva, I didn’t want her to worry about this. Luckily, I told Eva I’ll take care of Brad. When we got him into my office, we put him on my chesterfield coach then he started to scream at me “What the fuck do you want Romeo?” “I want you to behave I want you to be civil on your daughter’s wedding.” He didn’t even listen to me he just went on “You took everything from me my company, my casino and my daughter I have nothing anymore.” Rufus tried to tell him “Brad calm down it’s not that bad.” “What the fuck do you know?” He screamed at Rufus. Then Arlo tried. “Brad please can you calm down, Romeo didn’t take anything away from you his just trying to help you.” “Fuck of Arlo you will always take his side.” “I’m not taking his side I’m telling you as it is.” “Well, I didn’t ask you for your opinion.” Tom came walking into my office with Luna behind him with a plunger of coffee. “Let’s try this.” Tom said. Luna poured Brad a cup of coffee and Tom put like 4 sugars in trying to get Brad sober when he gave him the coffee he slapped the cup out of Tom’s hand. “What the fuck Brad!” Tom screamed at him. Luna jumped to clean the floor. “Luna it’s okay leave it.” I said I needed her to get out of my office. Rufus, Arlo and Tom were very close to walking out of my office they were fed up with Brad. “Brad, you have a choice you can drink that coffee and sober up and attend the wedding….” Brad interrupted me “What you threatening me to not attend my daughter’s wedding and not walking her down the aisle?” “Brad you will not be walking Jenn down the aisle.” “Fuck you Romeo I will.” “Not in the state you are.” Tom said. “Fuck all of you.” He tried to stand up but fell down on my couch again. “You are not leaving my office until you are sober Brad, I will lock you inside if I have to.” “You will not.” He got up this time he stayed up. “I will attend the wedding I want to see how she makes the biggest mistake of her life I want to be able to tell her I told you so.” “You will not!” I screamed at him. “Just leave it.” Rufus tried. “You know what Rufus you fucking wife is fucking other men.” Brad screamed at Rufus. I didn’t know where that came from but the next moment Rufus gave Brad a right hook that had Brad bleeding from the mouth and falling to the ground. “I’m done with you Brad DONE! You deserve everything you are getting.” Rufus turned around and walked out. At least he didn’t walk to the front door but towards the party. Clearly some people are taking Jenn’s feelings into consideration.
Brad looked at Rufus as he walked out then he eyed Tom “Before you say anything about my wife think very carefully because you won’t’ be able to see anything when I’m done with you. Tom said “Fuck off.” He slurred at Tom. “Its okay guys go to your wife’s I’ll handle him. Arlo can you just tell Eva not Jenn that everything is sorted with Brad.” “Yes, off course.” “They are in the first guest bedroom.” Then Arlo and Tom left me alone with Brad. “Okay Brad we are alone and clearly you have things to say to me out with it.” “I thought you where my friend!” he started. “I was until I saw how you treated your daughter but the cherry on the cake was how you treated your staff, you are despicable Brad I don’t know how I ever helped you to open your own business where you always like this or was it after your wife and sons’ death?” “Don’t you fucking talk about them.” “I’m asking you a question Brad don’t get offensive.” “Well fuck you.” “Your daughter will tonight.” I don’t know why I said it but I was just so fed up with him but I probably shouldn’t have because he had a murderous look on his face and then he charged for me luckily, I was sober and quick on my feet. He ran into my desk and when he hit the desk he started to swear.
“Fuck you mother fucker I’m going to kill you I promise you Romeo, I will kill you.” “You know what Brad I except the challenge you can try but believe me all the rumors you heard about me of being in the Mafia is true so be careful be very careful.” “I’m not afraid of you!” Brad screamed. I walked to my desk and called Lucas. “Lucas come to my office now.” “On my way boss.” Lucas said. “You calling the person who’s going to kill me Mafia man?” Brad slurred at me. “No Brad, I won’t kill you I don’t want to hurt Jenn I’m not you. I’ll do everything in my power to protect her and keep her happy not something you would have ever done for her.” “I raised her by myself.” “She had nannies you didn’t raise her they did.” “I gave her everything she needed.” “Maybe moneywise but you didn’t give her love and that is one thing anyone needs, love.” He didn’t answer me when I said that he just looked at me. Then there was a knock on my door. “Come in Lucas.” Lucas walked in and assess the situation, clearly, he could see Brad was drunk. “Yes Boss?” “I want you to take Brad home and tell his driver if he wants to lose his job and he should realize I will fire him and he will listen to me, he won’t bring Brad back to the house. I don’t want Brad near this house today.” “You can’t do this it’s my daughter’s wedding she will never forgive you.” He started to scream. “Believe me I’m doing this for Jenn and she won’t even notice you are not here.” Before Brad said anything else, Lucas had him underneath his arm and was carrying him to the car, while Lucas carried him, he kept on screaming “She will never forgive you, she will never forgive you.” I waited until they where out of the house before I went back to my office just to get myself calm again.
I couldn’t believe Brad did this I couldn’t believe he got waisted before the wedding even started and to scream at his friend and talk bullshit about their wives was just not on. I was still sitting at my desk when there was a knock on my door, “Come in” I said. Tom, Arlo and Rufus walked in “Are you okay Romeo?” They asked. “I’m okay I’m just happy I got him away from the house before the ceremony started.” “Well, I think you should get ready it’s almost time.” “Before we all go, I just want to thank you guys for standing by me today.” “Any time Romeo anytime. Jennifer deserves so much love and happiness and I know we are not her dad’s but she did grow up in front of us so if you hurt her, we will come for you.” Rufus said then we all laughed.
