Chapter 114
Romeo
Jennifer was sleeping in my arm, me still on her hospital bed, I don’t think the nurses was too happy about it, but I couldn’t move or give a shit. They will take her arm she threw over me take her blood pressure and give her meds and as soon as they let go of her arm, she will be looking for me again. I think that was the only reason they didn’t chase me of her bed. I couldn’t really sleep on the bed it was quite uncomfortable but I will lay here as long as she needed me to. A while later the doctor came in and woke Jennifer. She opens her eyes when she saw me, she immediately smiled. “Mr. Bianchi I will need you to get of the bed.” “I asked him to lie with me I just sleep better with him by my side.” Jennifer told the doctor. “I don’t have a problem with that but I need to examine you and he might get in the way.” “Oh” was all Jenn said to the doc. He examined her checked the cards the nurses filled in then he looked at her again. “I’ll take it you really want to go home?” That shocked me I mean she came out of a coma only this morning shouldn’t she be in hospital a bit longer. “Yes, off course I would like to go home.” She said. I had to intervene here “Is it safe doc I mean she only came out of the coma this morning?” “If she has a good night like the today she had I feel happy to send her home tomorrow.” “That’s wonderful news.” Jennifer went on. “Yes indeed.” I said still a bit apprehensive. “Let’s see how your stats look tomorrow morning.” “Thank you doctor.” Jenn said. As soon as the doctor walked out, I told Jenn “Excuse me quickly.” I could see she wasn’t happy but she didn’t say anything. “Doc wait up.” I said to him “Yes Mr. Bianchi?” “Are you sure she can go home?” “Yes, I’m sure she will need a lot of rest but other than that she’s fine. If anything happens and you are worried just bring her in and I’ll look at her, okay?” That did make me feel a little better. “Thank you doctor.” I walked back to Jennifer with a smile on my face. “What is that smile for?” “I just made sure the doctor is very sure you can go home tomorrow.” “And?” “He said you need a lot of rest but yes you can go home.” “Great I can’t wait to lay in that big bed of yours with you next to me.” “Me neither darling.”

Every time the nurses came to take my stats, I could feel them taking my arm away from Romeo and I wasn’t happy not at all yes, I sort of slept through it but I wanted to touch Romeo I felt safe with him next to me. Maybe if he was with me, I wouldn’t have been in hospital but that is something I could never think about. Poor Elijah already feels bad about what happened. After the doctor told us I could go home tomorrow if my stats stay stable, I was so happy but I could see Romeo wasn’t as happy as I was. When the doctor left, he chases after the doctor but when he came back, he was smiling from ear to ear as well. “And?” “He said you need a lot of rest but yes you can go home.” “Great I can’t wait to lay in that big bed of yours with you next to me.” “Me neither darling.” At least we were on the same page there. He came to sit next to me on the bed. “Just one more night of sleeping uncomfortable.” I joked with him. “Darling I’ll sleep on the floor as long as I’m with you.” “Aaa Romeo that is so sweet.” “I know right I’m a sweet guy.” He smiled at me. “If I have to get of the sweet people list let me ask you, did you speak to my dad again?” “No, I’m sure our story checked out or else he would have been here and made sure you don’t go home with me.” “That’s probable true.”
Romeo and I were talking about the guest list and that we should ask my dad who he wanted at the wedding when he actually appeared at my room door. Romeo was still typing names on his I-pad when I saw my dad. “Dad?” That made Romeo quickly look up. “Brad what are you doing here?” Romeo asks. “I came to see my daughter or am I not allowed?” “I’m just surprise to see you that’s all.” Romeo told him. My dad walks towards me leaving his bodyguard outside with Lucas. “Jenn how are you?” I needed to down play this whole thing. “I’m good I can go home tomorrow.” “You not serious?” My dad said. “We are serious.” Romeo chipped in. “No, I’m letting another doctor look at you first for a second opinion.” “She has the best here Brad.” “I don’t care.” My dad went on. “Well, I do, the doctor said I can go home tomorrow so I’m going home tomorrow now stop with this second opinions.” I told my dad. Both Romeo and my dad looked at me. I was half shocked at myself as well where did I get the courage to talk to my dad like that. “Clearly Romeo is rubbing off on you.” My dad said. “I’ll take that as a compliment.” Romeo told my dad “It wasn’t meant as one.” My dad went on. “Well dad you saw me I’m fine now you can go again. I’m not in a mood for a fight and that is what you are doing right know.” “I’m not.” “Oh yes you are.” I press the call button and a nurse came into the room, clearly, she could feel the tension. “How can I help you, Miss Rynn?” I couldn’t wait to change that last name. “Isn’t it time for my pain meds?” “Indeed, it is I’ll be right back.” “Well dad I’m going to sleep now I’ll speak to you when I get out and when I decided to forgive you for the event the other night. You might have forgotten about it but I didn’t.” “You dismissing me?” he asked me in shock. “Yes I am.”
