Romeo
It was 3 hours later and Jennifer didn’t come down yet, I was starting to get worried. At least when she does wake up, I already received the list from Brad which was at least a good thing. Only thing is this wedding is gotten bigger and bigger by the minute, hopefully most of the people won’t be able to attend. I made a note that we needed to invite the journalist that made us the front page of the papers when I told him we where engaged. I was still working on some spreadsheets when Jennifer walked into my office. I got up and walked to her, her eyes were swollen from all the crying. “How did you sleep darling?” I asked her. “My head is still killing me.” I gave her a hug and went to my desk to get her more pain killers I knew her head was extra sore because of all the crying. “Thank you, Romeo.” She took the glass of water on my desk and drank the tablets. “You want some Alfredo? Luna made us some.” “I could probable eat.” I walked her to the kitchen where I took the plate out of a hot oven. “Be careful the plate is hot.” I said as I put the plate down in front of her. “You not going to eat?” “I already did, that prawn cocktail didn’t fill me.” “I’m sorry Romeo.” “Don’t be I would have done the same thing.” “Thank you for understanding.” “I’ll always try. One good thing he e-mailed the guest list through.” “How many people?” she asked “Just over a hundred.” “Jeez, and your list?” “Just under a 100 darling.” “So basically over 200 people which I don’t know.” “I’m sorry darling I really am.” “It’s okay Romeo when I said we will have a big wedding to please him I knew it will be a lot of people and you have a lot of business associates you probable have to invite I get it I just hoped for a smaller wedding.”
“What about you and I go away and do our own wedding before the big wedding, just you and me?” “You serious?” “Yes, off course or after the big wedding we can have our own wedding on a beach somewhere.” “It’s winter Romeo.” She laughed. “It’s not winter around the world darling.” “Oh, okay I see where you going with this.” I could see the excitement on her face clearly, she would like it. “Okay why not, maybe on our honeymoon.” “Okay I’ll organized everything.” “You sure?” “Yes, off course I’m not telling you where we going on honeymoon.” “Oh, come on Romeo.” It’s the first time since this morning she had a smile on her face. “Nope not telling you.” I said as I kissed her. “Anything I can do to convince you?” she asked with a smile on her face. “Sorry”

Romeo accomplished the impossible he actually made me smile after the horrible day with my dad. This man was definitely a keeper. “Okay fine I won’t nag you about that but we need to talk about the actual wedding. You didn’t give me the name of the person I needed to call about everything. “Oh yes off course. I’ll be right back.” I wasn’t planning on moving from the kitchen table my head was still too sore and I was light headed. He came back with a card when I took it on the card was the name ‘Eva, Event’s Coordinator’ “Darling, you can call her she will help you with everything.” “You sure I’m sure she’s very busy.” “I pay her salary darling she will do as you say.” “Thank you, Romeo.”
“Jennifer, can I ask you something?” “Yes, off course.” “How are you feeling after this afternoon?” “I’m not sure Romeo a bit raw and my head is still killing me and I’m dizzy.” “Which is totally understandable. Is there anything I can do for you?” “No Romeo, you helped me enough I just need to close the wound my dad scratched open.” “You sure there is nothing I can do for you?” “Yes, Romeo, I’m sure. I would ask you to understand that I need to go and lay down again.” “Off course I don’t have a problem with that your health comes first.” “Thank you, Romeo.” He walked me up to the room again, I didn’t have a choice this time because as soon as I got up, I got dizzy and had to grab onto something not to fall. When we got the room, Romeo said “I’m just going to finish up in my office then I’ll come and join you.” “No hurry Romeo.” “I know but I really want to watch that series again.” “You really into it?” “I can’t believe it either.”

I left Jennifer in bed and went back to my office I still have to deal with the problems at Brad’s businesses and this week I need to convince him to get rid of the people that was stealing from him and who is laundering money. With the attitude he had today I don’t know how we are going to come to an agreement in letting these people go but at the end of the day Brad’s business is Jennifers legacy and I will do whatever I have to to protect her legacy and if it means I go in and fire them myself or get rid of them like only I can then I will do that to. I won’t let anything stand in the way of Jennifers legacy I will do everything in my power to protect it. Even if I have to do it illegally. I made a spreadsheet of all the days and times money was being stolen from Brad’s company and the companies that was used to launder the money. If Brad couldn’t believe spreadsheets with evidence, I really didn’t know what I’m going to do. I even phone the bank where the money was being kept to get a bank statement of the person that was stealing the money. How did I get that? I knew the bank manager and have a lot of money in that bank even a safety deposit box so whatever I ask for at that specific bank I get. Before I even knew it it was past 10 pm and I promised Jennifer I will come up soon. Well hopefully she is sleeping by now because I really didn’t want to get lost in work and break my word to her.
