Romeo left very early Friday morning but he left me a surprise that was on the bed in a black box. The first thing I did when I woke up was ripped into that box, it had to be something for our date night at the club, I couldn’t think of anything else that it could have been. Inside was a note, but I put that to one side and took out the outfit Romeo bought me. It was a black leather corset and a very short leather skirt with fishnet stockings and don’t forget the killer knee length boots that was also in the box. ‘Oh, my Romeo has gone all out.’ I thought to myself. “Maya long time no see, I want to meet you tonight at the club, wear only what is provided for you, my driver will be there at 8 pm to come and fetch you. I will meet you at the club, bar area, but you are not allowed to drink any alcohol I need you present for what I have in stall for you.

Shit his already setting the stage for what’s going to happen tonight and I love it, he didn’t mention the fact that I was pregnant he was speaking to Maya not Jennifer and I couldn’t be happier. But unfortunately, I’m a grown up with a new business and I had to go and make a turn at the new bakery making sure everything is running smoothly before my night can begin. I took my box with my outfit to my walk-in closet and went to shower to get ready for the day, at least if I stay busy it will go by quickly. When I was done in the bathroom I got dressed in my jeans and a cashmere jersey I put my sneakers on because my feet were still sore from last night and I have high heels I have to wear tonight. When I was ready, I walked down stairs only to find Elijah coming from the kitchen with my take a way cup of decaf coffee, I really didn’t know how he always knew when I’ll be down stairs. “Morning Elijah.” “Morning Jennifer, your cup of coffee.” “You to kind.” We walked out he open the SUV door for me and I got in. “New bakery?” He asked. “Yes please.” I loved the morning drive to the new bakery, the streets where already so busy. When we got there just before 11 am, it was still quiet as the doors hasn’t open yet. I used my key to get in all I heard was the young bunch making jokes, which I loved a happy work place is always good.
“Morning everyone.” “Morning Jennifer.” “You guys ready for the doors to open?” “Yes.” “Was Eleanor here yet?” “Yes, Jennifer she brought all the cupcakes she said she will be here a bit later.” My new barista that stayed late last night said. He was standing out to me and I was certain I’ll be able to put him in a managers position sooner than later. “Thank you. You would never say there was a party here last night.” Frankie the Barista I was so impress with said “I was here early, Eva’s cleaners where here even before me, they were quick and efficient.” “Good, you guys ready to open the doors.” I saw a few people lining up outside the bakery. “Yes mam” everyone said at the same time. I went to open the door and the few people standing outside stormed into the bakery. That few was almost 20 people I wondered who spread the word but who ever it was I was thankful. I helped behind the till for a while before I started to get tired, then I excused myself and told Frankie if Eleanor isn’t there his in charge, which made him smile from ear to ear. I took my stuff and left the bakery clearly; they had everything under control.
When I got home, I filled the bath with hot water and some bath salts, I wanted to soak and shave all the important parts for tonight. I got out did my make up a real dark smokey look and did my hair, let it hang loose around my face with long locks, then I started to put on my outfit, when I zipped up the shoes and I looked at myself in the mirror all I could say was “Hot damn you look good.” I told myself. Then I grabbed a jacket and walked downstairs where Elijah was waiting for me in a tuxedo, clearly everyone was playing there part tonight. “Miss” he said as he held out his arm for me. I slipped my arm through his and got in the SUV. I didn’t say a word I mean Maya didn’t know Elijah, did she? I thought to myself. After awhile we arrived at the club, Elijah opened the door for me and walked me into the club he walked me straight to the bar and went to stand in a corner watching me, clearly Romeo wasn’t here yet. I didn’t want to take my jacket off I was too self-conscious with Elijah here. So, I kept my coat on and ordered myself a Shirley temple without alcohol it needed to look like I was drinking something. I was sitting at the bar just people watching when I could feel the whole atmosphere of the place changed when I turned around it was Romeo that walked into the club. I saw Elijah leaving his spot walking outside.
Romeo made a bee line for me, “Hi gorgeous.” He said. “Hi Sir.” I answered him. “Why do you still have your coat on?” He probable know why but still he asked the question. “I was waiting for you.” “Good answer Maya. Let me help you out of your coat, shall I?” “Yes please.” He helped me of the barstool and pulled the coat over my shoulders leaving me in the leather corset and very tiny leather skirt with the knee length boots. He stood back and just looked at me “You look absolutely amazing.” “Thank you, Sir, you do have great taste.” “I would say so.” He took my drink and took a sip of it, I don’t know if he was testing me but clearly, I pass when he smiled at me. He looked at the barman and ordered himself a bourbon. “So, what’s new with you Maya?” He asked as he took a sip of his bourbon.
