Romeo and I was both exhausted from the night and all the drama so we both just went for a shower and got into bed. The next morning my alarm went off at 3:30 I tried to quickly quiet it, I didn’t want to wake Romeo. Romeo pulled me closer to him “No it’s to early.” He mumbled. I kissed him on the forehead “Sorry a girl needs to make a living.” He let go of me and let me get out of bed. I quickly showered and got dressed when I got downstairs, Elijah was already waiting for me with a latte in hand. “Morning Elijah, a girl can get used to this.” “My pleasure soon to be Mrs. Bianchi.” “How?” He gave me the 2 news papers he had in his hand as I got in the Mercedez “Oh my God, they really did put it on the front page.” I said out load in shock. “In deed they did.” Elijah said. “My father is going to flip out and oh fuck Kyle is going to have a fit, you better be ready Elijay he will come to the bakery today and he will be angry because he will now it was Romeo that banned him so indirectly it was me.” “I’ll be ready Jennifer don’t worry.” “Thank you, Elijah.” At least the photo was one I would definitely want to frame; it was a beautiful picture of Romeo dipping me and kissing me, we didn’t look bad in fact we looked like a very beautiful couple. Elijah stopped at the bakery and open the door for me. “You wanne come in or are you going to wait out here?” “I’ll stay in the car until its get’s busy Jennifer.” “I’ll bring you a coffee and a cupcake later.” “Thank you”
When I walked into the bakery Eleanor was looking at me funny, they couldn’t have seen the papers yet could they? “Morning Eleanor and you must be Eleanors friend Matilda.” “Yes, I am thank you for giving me this opportunity.” “No problem.” “Morning Jennifer and why am I the last to know you are engaged show me that ring.” Eleanor eventually broke her silence and jumping up and down like a school girl. “I don’t have a ring yet Eleanor and it’s a long story.” “Well, you can tell us while we are baking.” I put my apron on and started to bake it was so much easier with 3 pair of hands in the kitchen why I never thought of bringing someone else into the bakery I didn’t know. I told them about my father “You serious he wanted to find you a man one that would take you away from your bakery.” “Yes, and one that would be able to take over the business as I have no interest in his business.” “And how did you and Romeo come up with the idea to marry I thought you didn’t really know him.” “Well, that is also a very difficult story let’s just say I met him at an event before I knew who he was, we had a night together and we went our separate ways then one night at an event with my dad my dad introduced me to him as his best friend from college.” “Oh my God NO you slept with your father’s best friend?” “Yes, before I knew he was my father’s best friend.” “And now you are going to marry your father’s best friend?” “It would appear that way yes. He told me he won’t take the bakery away from me in fact he wants me to spread my wings and open more he also wants me to rent out my apartment and we will see to growing my portfolio. My portfolio Eleanor not my fathers but my own.” “This just sound to good to be true.” Eleanor went on. “I thought so to but he will stand by his word Eleanor he will actually draw up a contract that will state everything and I’m going to insist on a pre-nup I don’t want any of his money.” “Okay I understand that but how is your father going to feel about everything?” “He actually sort of know; Romeo told him last night.” “Do I want to know how you two came up with the idea of actually marrying each other?” “No certain things need to be kept a secret but what I will say is that Kyle will visit us today.” “I take it that is his handy work?” she pointed at the stiches and bruise. “Indeed, it is.” “Do you have security; we are just women here and John won’t be able to handle Kyle.” “I have security don’t worry about that.” “Okay if you are happy then I’m happy.” Eleanor said. “I am there is no love but I’ll rather marry someone I chose and I know I have a sexual connection with than someone that is going to strip me of everything I am and which my father chose.” “I agree with you maybe you can learn to love each other.” “We just might but marrying a friend at this stage and a partner that will help me is more than I could have hoped for.”
The morning went by quickly with all the chatting in the kitchen and baking it was 9 am before we even knew it. I totally forgot about Elijah I went outside to give him a cupcake and a latte. “Thank you, Jennifer, but I won’t be able to eat a cupcake every morning.” “Fine I’ll bake you some muffins.” “I can live with that.” He smiled as I walked back into the bakery. Now that we are 3 maybe we should try a batch or two muffins and see how they sell. Just before John open the doors my phone rang when I looked at the caller ID, I saw it was my father. I called Eleanor “I think the shit is going to hit the fan right now.” I showed her my phone. “You go get that we will help John in front.” “Thank you, Eleanor.”
