Chapter 175
Jennifer
When we got to the hospital, I was a nervous wreck, yes Romeo said everything will be fine but if you not out of the hospital with a clean bill of health from the doctor, you just don’t know. Firstly, we went to my normal GP to take of the cast, Dr. Jacobs was conveniently both Romeo and my doctor. We just took a seat in reception when the receptionist called my name, “Jennifer.” We got up and Romeo walked with me to the doctor’s office. When we walked in, he immediately got up and shook Romeo’s hand. “Jennifer, Romeo how are you?” “Good doctor really good.” Romeo said “And you Jenn?” “Nervous for the MRI and the appointment at the neurosurgeon other than that happy that the cast is coming off.” “No need to be worried but come in get on the bed let me take that cast of.” We walked into his examining room Romeo helped me onto the bed. “Let me take your blood pressure and do a few normal tests that the neurosurgeon would look for.” “Thanks Doc.” Romeo said. The doctor looked into my eyes made me look at his finger by just moving my eyes, he checked my blood pressure. “Everything looks good Jenn there is no need to be worried.” “Thank you doctor.” Then he took the tool to start and cut the cast of my arm. When he was eventually done and the cast was taken off my arm looked terrible, I wanted to cry, I’m never going to get this arm to look beautiful or even tanned or should I say a tan wouldn’t even fix the arm. But I kept it to myself I wanted to cry but I didn’t I just kept my pose.
When the doctor was finished, he did a few tests with my arm, bending it making it straight, turning it from this side to that side, those kinds of things. “I’m very happy with your arm it has healed perfectly.” “Thank you doctor.” I said. We walked out of his office but before we left his rooms Romeo asked “You coming to the wedding doc?” I wanted to cry on the spot, my arm, my fucking arm would have been better in the cast at the wedding. I thought to myself. “Yes, we will be there.” “Great thank you doc.” As we walked out of the rooms Romeo stopped me “What’s wrong darling?” “Nothing.” I said but it was clear in my voice there was something wrong. “We said we will never lie to each other in fact that was one of the rules.” I looked at him and then the tears just started to stream down my face. “Oh my God darling, what is wrong?” He asked as he pulled me to him. “Are you that nervous for the MRI?” “No, my arm, look at my arm, it looks terrible it’s going to look terrible on the wedding I should have left the cast on. What are we going to do?” “Darling your arm will be fine, you just need to wash it a few times and tomorrow you have a whole spa day maybe they can help put some stuff on to fix it but that should be the least of your worries.” “Your probable right but still we will have the photos of the wedding for the rest of our lives.” “Darling please there are ways to hide it. Don’t worry.” “It’s easy for you to say.” I snapped at him. He just looked at me he didn’t say anything. I felt so bad for snapping at him I had to apologize “I’m sorry Romeo.” “It’s okay darling I understand you are under pressure don’t worry. I also understand you want the wedding perfect, just remember nothing is perfect in life.” “I know I know.”
We walked to the radiologist where I had an appointment for the MRI scan. We where just in time with my breakdown and all, we walked in as they called my name. This time Romeo couldn’t come in with me so he stayed in the waiting room and I went in. I got undressed and walked to the room where the MRI machine was. “Miss Rynn, are you ready?” “Yes” They helped me onto the bed, strapped me in and then the machine started to move, moving me into the machine. When the machine stopped there was a voice that came over the intercom or something telling me they are going to start and that I should keep as still as possible. This was not the first MRI I’ve ever had so I knew the drill.
The MRI didn’t take long, before I even knew it, I was done and back at Romeo. He took my hand and we walked to the neurosurgeon’s rooms. The radiologist said when we get to the neurosurgeon’s office he will have the results already. I assumed the reason Romeo was holding my hand was for support telling me in his way his there for me although he always say that to, with words. We entered the Neurosurgeons rooms and the receptionist said he was just waiting for us. I looked at Romeo “Is that a good or bad sign?” I asked him “Don’t worry darling everything is going to be okay.” “I’m not so sure Romeo.” “Well, I am.” We walked into the neurosurgeon’s room he got up and greeted both me and Romeo with the hand. “Hello Miss Rynn, Mr. Bianchi.” “Doctor.” Both Romeo and I said. “Well Miss. Rynn let’s get straight to business, shall we?” “Yes please.” “I have your results here.” “Yes and?” “It’s good news Miss. Rynn everything looks good the swelling has gone down and there is no sign of any permanent damage.” As the doctor talked, I started to cry. I was so relieved because I was certain there was something wrong, I don’t know why it just felt like something was still off. “You might still have some of the concussion side effects but that is nothing to worry about, it will get lesser with time.” “Are you sure we don’t have to worry about it?” Romeo asked the doctor “Yes, I’m sure.” “Do you want to see me again?” “No unless you have any other issues, I don’t need to see you again.” “Thank you doctor thank you.” “Yes, thank you doctor.” Romeo said. As we walked out and got to the hallway, he grabbed me around the waist and spined with me in a circle. “See I told you nothing to be worried about.” Then all I could do was laugh.
