After breakfast I walked into Romeo’s office, he was still busy with his meeting. He pointed with his finger for me to come in and sit on the opposite side of his desk. I took my seat and listen to him talk to his PA; it sounded like his PA was a man. Well at least I know he won’t cheat on me with his secretary. That made me smile which had Romeo frowning. He said goodbye to Ricardo then looked at me. “Why the smile?” “Just something I thought about.” “Do share I’m sure it has something to do with me.” “Indeed, it does.” “I’m waiting Jenn.” “I was just thinking as your PA is a man you probable won’t be the cliché of a man that cheats on me with his secretary.” That had him smiling to. “No Jenn I won’t cheat on you with anyone. Even if we are just in a Dom/sub relationship I take that seriously and won’t have any other women not to mention if we are married. I would never cheat.” He said very seriously. “That got serious really quick.” “Cheating is a serious subject.” He went on. “I won’t cheat on you Romeo never.” “Good” he said looking me in the eyes making sure my eyes are saying the same thing. “I don’t have everything figured out yet Jenn but there are two things that might be a deal breaker for you and we need to discuss them before we start to put this plan into action.” “Okay that sounds serious.” “Well, it is.” “I’m listening Romeo what can make me not go through with this?” “First of all, children, I don’t want children.” Okay that caught me off guard I didn’t even think about children. Clearly, I was quiet to long because he said. “I knew it, you want children.” “No no, sorry Romeo I just never thought of children before. It was never in my future. I don’t know why but I never thought I’ll be a mother probable because I never wanted to get married.” “So, the no children thing won’t bother you?” “No, it won’t.” “Are you sure Jenn?” “Are we going to be married for the rest of our lives Romeo?” I asked him. “Why would you ask that?” “Obviously this arrangement will have an end date if I want children, I can have children when this arrangement ended. It won’t be so far fetch for us to get divorced.” “Oh” clearly that caught him off guard. “Sorry Romeo.” “No no you are right we don’t have to be married for the rest of our lives but we can’t go into the arrangement with the end in sight or else we won’t convince your father.” “I know and I don’t have an end date in mind I’m just saying children isn’t an issue.” “Okay thank you.” “And the other issue?”
“That is a bit more complicated and for that I’m going to have you sign and NDA.” “A non-discloser agreement?” “Yes, Jenn that is what an NDA is.” He put the papers in front of me. “Clearly this is very important to you.” “It is and necessary.” “Fine I’ll sign it.” I took the pen he was holding out for me and signed the NDA. “Done now tell me.” He got up and came to sit in front of me on his desk. “I’ve never told my ex-wife this because I wasn’t this involved when I stayed in Los Angeles but moving back here I’m very involved in fact they look at me for advice and guidance to what to do next.” “Great now what are you talking about?” “I’m in the Mafia Jennifer.” My first reaction was to laugh I mean does the Mafia even exist anymore. But then I sat and thought about Lucas getting of the plane first looking for danger and when we where at the club Lucas wasn’t far away. The way Elijah handled himself yesterday and how he threatened Kyle. I could see Romeo being in the Mafia. “You rethinking this arrangement, right?” He asked me. “No not at all I wanted to laugh at first because I didn’t think the Mafia exist anymore.” “Oh, we do.” “Clearly, but then I thought of everything I observed the past weekend and I can see you being part of the Mafia.” “What does that mean do you have a problem with that?” “No Romeo your business is your business I’m not the kind of women that will interfere in your business. My dad taught me that is not a women’s place.” “Okay I’m glad you feel like that but it will have an impact on your life.” “What do you mean?” “Well, if you are my wife my enemies will be your enemies they will try to get to me through you and I have enemies Jenn this will mean you will have a bodyguard and driver.” “Oh” that made me pause for a minute. What will this mean for me as person having someone with me at all times being drive around. “And who do you have in mind?” “Elijah” “And he can be both?” “Yes, he can. Does that make any difference?” “I trust Elijah, I don’t see a problem with it. I’m not going to lie it is going to take me a while to get used to the idea or even use to Elijah being with me the whole time but if I think about the alternative, I’ll be fine with it.” He got up and pulled me of the chair hugging me. “I thought you will freak out or run away and cancel everything the marriage arrangement as well as the Dom/sub relationship.” “No Romeo I rather stick with you like we said last night we get each other and like I said I’m really not the kind of women that will interfere in your business doesn’t matter which business.” “Thank you, Jennifer, then this will be easier than I thought.”
“I need to thank you Romeo you are the one that are putting yourself on the line for me.” “Nonsense I’m going to get more out of this arrange marriage than you. Remember that Jenn, I’m not a good man.” “Answer me this. Did you get me this dress without me asking?” “Yes, I did.” “Thank you by the way. But I’m not done.” “Are you going to force me to be part of my dad’s business and make me close my bakery?” “No, I’m not.” “Then I’m getting just as much from this than you do.” “Remember that when I ask you to do something you not sure of.”
