When I woke up the bed was empty clearly Romeo was already gone to work. I rolled over to look at the time on my cell phone, it was past 10 in the morning I couldn’t believe I slept so late and to be honest I can sleep another few hours without blinking but it’s a new day and I had things to do. I need to get my new bakery up and running, for me to relax and to stop stressing. I need to reduce my stress as everyone was telling me over and over. I got up and went for a long shower. I felt so much better when I got out of the shower, although it did feel like I wanted to get sick again, but nothing came out, maybe the morning sickness has past wouldn’t that be wonderful. I got dressed and went downstairs to get a cup of tea and some toast. The morning sickness might be over but I don’t want to temp it in coming back with a big breakfast. “How you feeling?” Luna asked me “Better thank you, I think the morning sickness has pass. Or should I say I really hope so.” “That’s good news.” While Luna and I where talking my phone rang, when I looked at the caller ID, I saw it was Eleanor. “Sorry Luna I need to take this.” I walked to the library as I answered the phone “Morning Eleanor.” “Morning Jenn how are you?” “I’m good and you?” “Very well, I wanted to let you know I already found 4 new bakers and they started training this morning.” “Jeez Eleanor where did you find them?” “I told you I know a lot of women that needs work. Then there where a few Uni kids looking for work this morning I took their CV’s and one of the baker’s children is also looking for something so I’ll send you his CV as well.” “You are really a God send Eleanor thank you so much, I don’t know what I would have done without you.” “I’m very sure you would have coped Jenn don’t sell yourself short.” “Yes, but you make my work so much easier.” “I’m happy to do it. So, when can I see the new bakery?” “What about this afternoon say at 2 pm?” “Yes, I’ll be there.” “Great see you then Eleanor.”
When I disconnected the call I felt so much calmer, it was like Eleanor took all my stress away. I took my tea and stood at the window looking at the garden and thinking to myself. ‘Why are you still stressing Jennifer? Everything is been taken care of, your father, Sebastian, his cousin, there is no one lurking in the dark wanting to kill us anymore, Romeo is safe, I’m safe I need to stop stressing I had nothing to stress about anymore.’ I took a deep breath in and blew it out of my mouth and in through the nose again and out through the mouth I did that a few times and I could feel myself relaxing, it felt so good to just relax.
I went to my desk and decided on an opening date for the bakery, I also started with a list of guests, obviously I needed to invite my regular customers that order from me on a weekly or monthly bases then, Rufus and Lauren, Arlo and Sarah, Tom and Fergie, maybe a few of Romeo’s closest business associates that will be able to use my services and Sonja and Josh. When I was happy with my guest list I started with my invites, I liked drawing so it was nice for me to make my own invites, yes Romeo had a friend that printed invites but this calmed me and it was special everyone unique. Before I knew it it was time to meet Eleanor at the new bakery. I went looking for Elijah and Levi and we were off to the new bakery. When we got there Eleanor was already waiting for us. “Hi Eleanor” “Hi Jenn.” “Come let’s go in.” I unlocked the door and let Eleanor walked in in front of me. “Oh wow” she said as she walked into the bakery. “This is amazing Jennifer.” She said while turning in circles in the store. “I know right.” I said with a huge smile on my face, to share this with someone that was with me since the beginning was just so nice and made me so happy. “Come have a look at the kitchen.” I took her arm and took her to the kitchen. “Oh, wow this is the dream look at these ovens.” Yes, we get excited about ovens. “I know right can you imagine how many cupcakes you can bake in these.” “I can’t wait have you decided on an opening date.” “I was thinking next week Friday we will have an opening party and then the store can open the Saturday. What do you think?” “It sounds great obviously we can’t be close here over the weekends.” “Most definitely not. I think we are going to be very busy over the weekends.” “I agree.” “You happy with the opening party next Friday will everyone be ready?” “Yes, you don’t have to worry about that, everyone will be ready.” “Good then I’ll start to send out the invitations. I was thinking pairing the cupcakes with different type of wines for the opening, I’m sure I can get someone to help me with that.” “Yes, that sounds amazing.” When we were done at the bakery and I got back in the SUV my first call was to Eva clearly, we need to catch up and I needed her help.
“Jennifer so nice to hear from you.” “Hi Eva sorry I’m only calling you know.” “No worries how can I help you?” “Can we meet for lunch tomorrow we need to catch up and yes I need your help with the opening of my new bakery.” “Jeez girl you move fast.” “You don’t know just how fast but I’ll tell you tomorrow, should I come to the Hotel?” “That would be great if you don’t mind?” “Not at all I’ll see you tomorrow.” “Tomorrow Jenn.”
