Chapter 109
Romeo
When we drove out of my house’s grounds, I saw the 2 black SUV’s standing outside on the curb. Their windows where tinted so I couldn’t see who was sitting inside. As soon as we turned one of them was behind us. “What the fuck?” I asked Lucas. “I told you boss not making a secret of the fact they are following us.” “Well to the dessert.” I knew when we where a few miles away from the house the other vehicles will be behind the SUV that was following us. We drove towards the dessert with them still behind us, clearly, they didn’t even think we are leading them into a trap. As soon as my SUV hit the dessert, I saw my other two SUV’s moving in on both sides of the SUV that was following us. Clearly, they put 2 and 2 together and was starting to drive a bit more frantically probable trying to get away from us but I have well trained men in all aspects.
“Hold on boss” Lucas screamed as he turned right in front of them and my other two vehicles boxing them in. All my men and I off course jumped out of the vehicles and pointed our guns to the vehicle. “Get out!” I screamed. But there was no movement “I’m not going to ask again get out of the fucking vehicle!” I screamed. The first thing I saw was a firearm. “Drop it!” I screamed. The guy let the firearm fell to the ground then he slowly got out. Lucas grabbed him and pushed him against the SUV, Levi grabbed the other guy that got out of the vehicle. “Who are you working for?” I asked them. The guy looked at me like he didn’t understand. “I know you understand me who the fuck are you working for?” The other guy screamed from the other side of the SUV “He doesn’t understand you.” Levi grabbed the other guy and walked with him to me “Then you tell me who are you working for?” “I don’t know.” “What do you mean you don’t know?” “A guy came, gave us this vehicle and our targets which was you and your soon to be wife.” I got angrier and angrier how did they know she was to be my wife. “What was your instructions.” “To follow you to make sure you see us.” “What then?” I screamed. “Our boss hoped you would get scared if you see you are being followed.” “Who the fuck is your boss because clearly he doesn’t know me.” “I really don’t know who the boss is I can tell you you are not really the target your soon to be wife is.”
“Fuck fuck” I screamed then I took my phone and called Elijah. He didn’t answer. “Levi take care of them.” I screamed as Lucas and I jumped into my SUV, Lucas was driving like a maniac to get to the industrial district. I kept on trying to call Elijah and then Noah but none of them answered then I called Jennifer and she didn’t answer. “Something is seriously wrong Lucas. Go go go” I screamed at him. I swear if there is a hair on her head out of place, I will burn this city down to find the person responsible.
Jennifer
When we got onto the road the black SUV immediately started to follow us. “Elijah where are we going?” “Industrial district, it will be easy to box them in and it’s quiet now no one will be there, no innocent by standers will get hurt.” “That makes sense where is Noah?” “Behind the SUV.” “Okay” was all I said I had an idea of what was going to happen so I was happy. As soon as the road’s got quieter the SUV that was following us got braver, they pulled in next to us and tried to drive us off the road. “What the fuck.” Elijah said. “Lay flat and hold on Jenn.” Elijah screamed. They didn’t stop trying to get us off the road, this was braver than they was earlier today. “Fuck Elijah” I screamed as they hit us on the back. “Just stay down.” Then I heard another car pushing in behind us, I guessed it was Noah trying to get them away from us. But we were hit again, Elijah struggled to keep the car on the road or that is how it felt. He made a sudden right turn, that had me flying from the one side to the other. I could hear my phone hitting the ground. Then I heard Elijah’s phone ringing. “I can’t get to it.” Elijah said. Then after a while my phone rang but I couldn’t get to mine as the other SUV was still trying to get us off the road.
“Jennifer we are reaching the industrial district now hold on I’m going to make a lot of turns to keep them away from us.” “I’m holding on.” I said back. Then the turns started but for some reason they still hit us a few times. I tried to look and saw our other car hitting the SUV that was following us. Noah hit him hard the SUV almost fell over but fuck he didn’t and then he was coming to us on full speed. “Hold on” Elijah screamed. The SUV hit us and then we were rolling I didn’t have a seatbelt on because I was lying on the back seat so the car threw me from one side to the other as the SUV rolled I heard glass break, I felt something wet on my face and then I felt like I wanted to go to sleep but I knew I couldn’t sleep I needed to stay a wake but the sleep wanted to take over. “Stay awake Jenn, stay awake.” I kept on telling myself but then I was out.
Romeo
We arrived at the industrial district we could hear a car’s hooter going off but we didn’t see the car all we saw was Noah chasing after the other SUV, it looked like he was hit a view times. But where was no sign of Elijah and Jennifer. “Where are they?” I screamed at Lucas. We drove a little deeper into the industrial district and my heart almost stopped there in the middle of the road was my other G-Wagon lying on its head. “Stop I’ll help them go help Noah!” I screamed at Lucas. He stopped and I jumped out running towards Jennifer. I heard how Lucas was chasing away from me toward the fuckers that did this. When I reached the car, I screamed “Jennifer, Elijah” Elijah made a noise “Here boss” “Where’s Jennifer?” “In the back, help her boss.” I tried to pull the door open but couldn’t then I broke the window and there Jennifer was lying on the roof of the SUV blood coming from everywhere. I pulled her out of the car made sure she was breathing then I ran to get Elijah out. He was almost halfway out when I got to him.
“I’m sorry boss I’m so sorry.” “It wasn’t your fault Elijah they were after her.” Then I helped him to where Jennifer was lying. I moved both of them out of the street we never know when they come to this side. I carried Jenn to the side of a building Elijah was slowly walking with us. As I held her, she opened her eyes “There you are.” I said and then she was out again. “Fuck” I screamed. I wanted to call for an ambulance but how to we explain any of this I tried to wake Jennifer up but she didn’t want to wake up. “Fuck” And then we heard 2 gunshots load in the night air. I hoped it’s the guys following us and not Lucas or Noah. The following few minutes felt like hours before Lucas stopped in front of us and jumped out of the SUV. “Help Elijah” He grabbed Elijah and I carried Jenn to the SUV. “Nearest hospital Lucas.” “Yes boss.” On our way I asked him “Noah?” “His okay boss taken care of the men.” “Who are they working for?” “We killed them before they could speak but we did find Sebastian’s number on there phone so I’m taking it they are working for him boss.” “That fucker he will pay for this.”
When we stopped at the hospital I ran into the emergency room with Jennifer in my hands. The nurse told me to put her down but I couldn’t I didn’t want to let her go. “We’ll look after her sir, just let go.” What if this is the last time I held her? Was the only thing that went through my mind.
