When Lucas came running to us because that wasn’t a walk, I knew something was wrong and when I look to the door, I saw Elijah standing there keeping an eye on me I knew I needed to let Romeo go and sort whatever this was out. I talked to Eva and made sure I didn’t have a vibe to me that showed I was worrying but after the speech Eva gave regarding me, I was a bit unsettled, I never expected it at all and the things she said it felt like we knew each other for years. When the starters where served Romeo was still not back, “Tell you what Eva I’ll come and sit at your table while Romeo is sorting out whatever that is.” “Okay.” When Elijah saw me taking my chair, he was there in a flash carrying my chair to the table. I leaned into him “Is everything okay? Is it my dad?” “Don’t worry Jenn, we will sort it out.” “At least tell me is it my dad?” “No Jenn it’s not.” “Okay.”
Romeo
“What’s wrong?” I asked Lucas as we walked into the house. “It’s Sebastian’s cousin his in front of the house with 10 other black SUV’s” “Fuck not today.” I took my phone out of my breast pocket and called Francois. “Bianchi this better be important it’s Christmas Eve.” “I know I’m at my wedding ceremony so what do you think.” “Fuck what’s wrong?” “Sebastian’s cousin is at my front gate with 10 black SUV’s I’ve got a lot of guest Francois and a lot of them are high profile people I can’t have this not now.” “I’m on my way but the only thing I can do is get rid of them for tonight.” “That is all I need Francois.” “Okay send your guys out you go back to your guest I’ll be there in 10.” “Thank you, Francois.” Lucas heard everything that Francois said so he went out with the other men leaving Elijah here for Jenn and Levi for me, I could only hope and pray that they won’t get into the premises before Francois arrives. I talked to Levi and Elijah before I went looking for my bride. I found her sitting with Eva at her table it looked like main courses were served already. I tapped her on the shoulder she looked at me but had a sad smile on her face which I didn’t like at all it is our wedding day after all. “Can I steal my bride.” I asked the table. Everyone laughed and I took Jenn’s hand and walked her back to our table.
“What’s going on?” she asked with a smile on her face clearly, she didn’t want the guest to know there was a problem. “Sebastian’s cousin is at the front gate he wants to get revenge for his cousins’ death.” “Fuck what now?” she asked dropping the smile. “Smile darling, we aren’t going to do anything I contact my guy from the FBI his going to get rid of them for the night and when we come back from honeymoon I’ll have to deal with them.” “You think they will leave us alone?” “Jenn, we have very high-profile guest here the FBI will do everything to get rid of the fuckers in front of the gate I promise you.” I could see her relaxed when I said I promise. When mains where served I could eat with my bride. I was stressing because I made a promise, I didn’t know I could keep I was putting all my faith into Francois and the men he was bringing to my house.
Everyone was enjoying the food and by the time dessert where served I didn’t have any indication if the men were removed from our property yet, which made me stress a bit. After dessert it was time for me and Jenn to open the dance floor, we decided to use the same song she walked out of the house because no one really took notice of it. Luckily, I could dance and Jenn and I was at a few functions where we had to dance together. It was like riding a bike especially with Jenn. We danced for a while before we asked the others to join us, Eva and her partner was the first to join us then the others came to. The song was beautiful and I knew the words but my mind wasn’t at the dance floor and Jenn could feel it. She whispered in my ear “You want to go and have a look what’s going on?” “I don’t want to leave you alone.” “I’ll walk with you but I’ll stay in your office with Elijah if that would make you feel better.” “Yes, it would and it wouldn’t look suspicious if both bride and Groom disappear for a few minutes.” “Well then let’s go.” She walked to Eva and told he something and then we walked into the house. “What did you tell Eva?” “I told her to keep the party going we need some breathing time.” “Oh okay.”
I made sure she was safe in the office with Elijah before I walked out to the front. “What’s going on Lucas?” I asked him. “They are still here boss.” “And the FBI?” “I heard someone talking but I’m not sure.” “Open the gate, Lucas.” “They’ll shoot you boss.” Lucas said. “Open the gate, Lucas.” I said again. He opened the gate and as I walked out Francois and a few of his men stopped but unfortunately for me Sebastian’s cousin was quicker he pulled the trigger as soon as he saw me and hit me in my shoulder. “Fuck” I screamed then I heard Francois screaming at Sebastian cousin to get to the ground and the other men telling the rest of the men to get to the ground. “What the fuck Romeo, I told you to stay inside.” “We’ll I’m not good in taking orders.” I said to him. Francois ignored me and screamed at Lucas get him inside I’ll get a doctor to come in.” “Don’t worry I have a doctor at the party.” I said through the pain. Lucas helped me to the office where Jenn was waiting for me when she saw me, she got white as a sheet. “What happened? Fuck Romeo you’ve been shot.” She screamed. Elijah didn’t need orders he ran outside and got our GP within seconds Dr Jacobs was in my office. “God Romeo, can’t you even get married without getting shot?” He asked me. I thought it was funny so I smiled. Jenn wasn’t happy at all.
