After my meeting with Romeo and I heard what my dad did and the fact that there was actually someone in my bakery that works for my dad I was so upset and hurt. I mean my dad was planning for this person to stand by and watch how Kyle choked me what kind of father does that? But then again what kind of father makes you get married to someone he chooses. I tried to push that to the back of my head, if I wanted to get things done I needed to put certain stuff in boxes, first I need to advertise for a new barista I’m with Romeo it must be John. I got my laptop and put a add in for a barista but at least I asked the applicants to e-mail I didn’t want my phone to blow up. Then I got all the information to start with my business plan, I was deep in thought when my cell phone rang, I didn’t recognize the number but I answered in any way, “Jennifer hello.” I answered “Jennifer good day this is Caroline I’m a wedding planner, your fiancé called us this morning. When can we meet?” I got quiet for a minute I mean when did Romeo got time to do this as well and how did he get someone that would be able to help us on such short notice. “Hello you still there?” “Hi sorry Caroline yes, I’m here. When do you want to meet?” “Well, I heard the wedding is the 1 December I think we need to meet today and get this planning started.” “Okay I’m available anytime after 12.” I told her. “Great send me the address you are having the wedding at and I’ll be there at 12:10.” Jeez okay I thought “Great I’ll send you the location.” “See you later Jennifer.” When I put the phone down, I didn’t know what to do I mean I haven’t thought about a color scheme or my dress, flowers, cake nothing I’m nowhere.
I put my work to the side and start to google wedding colors, wedding dresses, flowers, serviettes etc. I at least need to have an idea before she get’s here. I was still deep into wedding stuff when Luna came to tell me there is someone for me at the door when I looked at my watch it was exactly 12:10. “Thank you Luna.” When I got to the foyer a beautiful young woman was standing in the foyer. “Caroline?” I asked “Yes and you must me Jennifer.” She said as she extended her hand to me to shake. “This is a beautiful home you have here.” She said. “Yes, it is thanked you but we were thinking of doing everything outside.” “Great let’s start there; I need to see where you want the ceremony and then the reception area.” “Great follow me.” While we walked through the house Caroline asked me “Did you think about a color scheme yet?” “I did I was thinking of a light pink and cream.” “Classy.” She said. I gave myself a pat on the back, I wasn’t sure. When I open the back door to the back yard, Caroline actually grabbed her chest “Wow” she said. “It is beautiful, isn’t it?” “I wondered why the Casino owner, Romeo Bianchi didn’t want to use one of his casino’s but after seeing this, I know why.” She walked onto the grass “Okay I see the ceremony being held here?” she motioned with her hands to a specific space “This will have you walking down these stairs towards the alter which will be of flowers and lots of them and it will show of your dress. Please stop me when you don’t like what I’m saying.” Caroline said. “No No go on I like what you are saying so far.” “Okay great, imagine white chairs, a white carpet to walked down the aisle, your fiancé waiting right here for you and then after the ceremony you walked down the stairs and there, she showed with a finger we put up a huge tent for the reception.” “Yes, yes and yes.” I was starting to get excited maybe it’s the energy she brought but I could see everything she was explaining.
“Okay I need to see the kitchen where the staff will bring the food from.” I looked at her I thought everything will be outside “We need to use the freezers and fridges.” She explained. “Oh yes off course right this way.” “I take it you don’t want people in the house?” “No not really but we probable will need to for the bathrooms.” “Oh no it’s okay we will rent the best portable bathrooms there is.” “What you get those that looks like a real bathroom?” “Yes, off course none of those you see at festivals I’m talking about a beautiful portable bathroom. I might have a photo of one on my phone.” She stands still for a minute and scrolled through her photo’s “Here look” She gave me the phone “This is a portable bathroom.” “Indeed, it is.” “Wow it’s so luxurious.” “That is the point Jenn. Sorry may I call you Jenn?” “Yes, off course. Let me show you to the kitchen.” I took her through the kitchen door just to show her how easy the access will be for the waiters.” “Great can these doors open further?” “Yes, they can.” I moved the doors further open.” “This will be great and then the fridge and freezer?” I showed her them when Luna said “There is another one in the back.” I didn’t even know there was a back of the kitchen. Luna walked in front we walked through the pantry and there was a big industrial fridge and freezer. “Wow this will do really well.” “Great.” I didn’t want to think what was in that fridge a time or two maybe but then again, I don’t think Romeo will bring his ‘work’ home.
“Shall we go and sit and talk about the cake, flowers, table arrangements and off course the dress. Or do you have a dress already?” “I do not.” “Oh, my goodness.” Caroline said with pure fear in her eyes.
