Jennifer
I woke up to an empty bed when I looked at my watch, I saw it was past 9 am already. Romeo is probable gone already. I got out of bed feeling excited, Eva was coming over and we are going to fit my dress and the veil maybe she can even give me ideas for my hair. I went to the bathroom to get ready, showered, did my hair and make-up, got dressed in a mini flowery dress and sneakers and I went down stairs I wanted to ask Luna to make us some snacks. As I got down stairs I found Romeo in the foyer. “Morning Darling, you look happy this morning.” I walked to him and threw my one arm around him and hugged him, “Morning Romeo. I am thank you.” “How did you sleep?” “Like a rock.” “I would say so you didn’t even wake up when I carried you to the room.” “Sorry Romeo.” “Don’t be darling I’m just happy you are resting you need it and look so happy this morning.” “How can I not be Eva is coming over and I’m actually going to fit my dress for someone.” “That’s good darling. Now I need to go.” “Don’t let me hold you back.” I said with a smile on my face. “Someone is playing with fire this morning” “Oh really, am I?” I said with a sassy attitude “Jennifer Jennifer, you do know what happens Friday night right?” “How can I forget I can’t wait.” “Clearly.” “Love you darling.” “Love you to see you later.”
When Romeo left, I went to the kitchen “Morning Luna.” “Morning Jennifer. Can I make you something to eat?” “No, I’m good just coffee I wanted to know if you can make some snack I’m getting a friend over, we are going to fit my dress and decide on my hair.” “Yes, off course. What do you have in mind.” “I actually don’t know something that goes with champagne. Oh, and talking of champagne do we have orange juice.” “Yes, Jennifer there is orange juice in the fridge. What about a Charcuterie board.” “That would be perfect, thank you Luna.” “What time are you expecting her?” “Probable at 12.” “I’ll have everything ready.” “You are the best.” I took my coffee and walk outside looking at the spot where Romeo and I are going to get married. When my coffee was finished, I went back inside, I needed to start and look at my bakeries books I was getting behind. I took my laptop to my office / library and started to work on the books. I was still trying to find a way to be able to effort the other bakery but if I look at the books right now there is no way I can make it work even with the extra money I was making I still can’t effort it. Everything just got to expensive. That made me a little bit sad but I still had something to look forward to. I finished with the books and went upstairs to lie down. I didn’t want to exhaust myself before Eva came. I set my alarm to only sleep for an hour.
I woke up with Luna shaking me. “Jennifer, Jennifer.” I open my eyes “What’s wrong?” “Your friend is here.” “Oh my gosh how? I was supposed to wake up at 11:30.” “I think you slept through your alarm.” “Thank you, Luna, tell her I’ll be with her in a second.” “Will do.” I quickly jumped up went to the bathroom made sure my hair and make up was still in tact then I went down stairs to find Eva waiting in the foyer sitting area. “Eva so sorry for letting you wait.” “No worries, I understand.” “I slept though my alarm, I had to take a nap.” “You really don’t have to apologize Jennifer.” “Please call me Jenn all my friends do.” “Okay Jenn.” “Let me just tell the chef we are ready for her.” I ran to the kitchen and told Luna she can bring the snacks and champagne glasses to the guest bedroom. “It’s already done the orange juice is also there.” “You are a life saver Luna.” I went back to Eva. “Shall we go upstairs.” “Yes, lead the way.” Eva and I walked up to the guest bedroom. There was a table that had the champagne glasses and the Charcuterie board on it. “This looks nice.” Eva said while taking out the bottle champagne out of her bag. “I remembered this.” “Good, I’ll have to mix mine with the orange juice sorry about that Eva, I have a concussion and are on real strong pain medication that’s why I was sleeping before you came in.” “No worries at least you can have some, show me the dress.” I closed the door and pulled the dress protector off the dress. “Oh my God Jenn it’s stunning.” “Thank you, Eva.” “Come let’s try it on.” “First champagne.” I told her. She popped the bottle and we both laughed. She poured us each a glass mine was just a sip and I added the orange juice. “Can I make a toast?” I asked her. “Off course.” “To the beginning of a new friendship. I hope.” “I will cheers on that Jennifer. To tell you the truth you will be my first friend in Vegas.” “How?” I asked in total shock “You such a nice person.” “Well, you know people they always want to know everything about you and when you don’t want to talk about it, they think you are hiding something and then they disappear from your life. You know what I’m talking about.” “Unfortunately, I do.” “Well then Jenn on a new friendship.” We clicked our glasses and we both took a sip of the champagne and me of my Mimosa. I took a piece of cheese and Eva did as well. We started to talk about daily stuff my bakery her work what the most extravagant event was she ever planned. It was just nice talking about girl stuff and nonsense at the same time. Before we knew it the charcuterie bord was finished and we polished the bottle of champagne I’m sure I had a glass or two but I’m not going to tell Romeo and I’m sure Eva wouldn’t either. “I think it’s time to fit that dress Jenn.”
