Romeo
I couldn’t believe she said that, I couldn’t believe she was all for killing them. I should probable understand where she’s coming from but for a woman to say such things means one thing, she’s scared shitless and nothing I say will reassure her. We went to bed just after she ate, Jenn was still tired, after that dream I’m sure she was still tired, she wanted me to hold her the whole night, I didn’t have a problem with it, in fact if I could keep her by my side 24/7 I would. The next morning it was like nothing happened, Jenn didn’t bring it up and I wasn’t going to. “Can we go lie at the beach today, Romeo?” She asked me as we started to get ready for the day. “Yes, off course.” She got dressed in a bikini, but at least a decent one, not the one I packed. I got dressed in my board shorts and a T-shirt. I could feel something was off between me and Jenn and I didn’t like it but I also knew what it was and I couldn’t force anything at this stage. “Shall we go down for breakfast?” “I’ll only have a cup of tea, I’m afraid I’ll get sick if I eat something.” “No problem just as you like, as long as you eat something when you are feeling better.” “I will.”

After last night’s nightmare and the fact that Romeo told me that Sebastian’s cousin’s men are still out there and their families, I wasn’t happy and I didn’t feel safe at all. I was a little stand offish with Romeo and I knew I was, it wasn’t intentional it was just how I felt. I was very happy he didn’t force me to eat something, because when we entered the kitchen the smell of the eggs made me feel sick, I had to run to the bathroom at least there was one on the ground floor. I was puking my guts out with Romeo standing behind me holding my hair. I should really stop being so moody towards Romeo, this is not his fault they are looking for them, it’s not like his sitting on his ass and doing nothing about it. “Thank you, Romeo.” “For what, I always be there for you to hold your hair.” I got up rinse my mouth with some Listerine I put in the bathroom when we got here just incase and gave Romeo a hug. I caught him a bit off guard. “What was that for?” “For holding my hair and for doing everything you can to keep me safe.” “I thought you where angry with me?” “Not angry frustrated but I also realized I can’t take it out on you, you are doing everything in your power to get the fuckers in Mexico so being angry or frustrated with you is only going to spoil our day.” “Thank you for understanding angel I promise you we will get them.” “I know you will I just need to be patient.” We walked out of the bathroom; I went outside while Romeo went for his breakfast. I took my phone and called Eleanor; I haven’t touched base with her since we left.
“Child how are you?” she answered the phone “Hi Eleanor, I’m good thank you.” “You still enjoying your honeymoon?” “I am, how is things going at the bakery?” “Good, sales are up, we have more and more orders we are struggling to keep up.” “Wow Eleanor that is very good news, you do know you have the authority to hire someone if you need extra help.” “Yes, thank you Jenn, but we will be okay.” “I have news?” I told her. “What?” “Romeo gave me a wedding present.” “Don’t tell me he bought you an island somewhere.” “No, it’s even better.” “What’s better than an Island?” “A new bakery the one we wanted to open.” She screamed in my ear, out of excitement. “You lie?” “Nope so if you can start to advertise for bakers, barista and a cashier I would really appreciate it.” “When do you want to open?” “End of next month.” “Okay I’ll get the ball rolling this side.” “Thank you, Eleanor.” “My pleasure child I’m so excited for you I knew how much you wanted it.” “Me to.” “Jenn, can I ask you something?” she suddenly sounded very serious. “Yes, off course. What’s wrong?” “I saw the news about your dad, did they find him?” “Yes, Eleanor thank you for asking, his in another facility now hopefully he won’t escape now?” “Did you know about his drinking?” “I did not.” I really didn’t want to talk about it anymore and clearly, she could hear it. “Well then I’m glad they found him and you enjoy your last few days of honeymoon.” “Oh, thank you I will. Bye Eleanor.” “Bye Jenn.” When I disconnect the call Romeo was standing in the door with his hands on his hips like a real tea pot. “Are you working Mrs. Bianchi?” “Just checking up on things.” “And?” “Eleanor says everything is great they can’t keep up with all the orders.” “That’s wonderful news.” “I would say so.” “You ready to go down to the beach?” “Yes please.” He helped me to my feet took my hand and we walked to the gate that led to the beach.
When we got to the beach it was weird there where kids playing in the distance probably the kids of the people that has the estate next to the one we are staying in. Clearly it didn’t bother Romeo so it shouldn’t bother me, I’m just on high alert. But come one Jenn, they are kids. We got a spot put our towels down and laid in the sun. Romeo, put some suncream on me and I on him. He was reading a book and I actually fell asleep. After a while, Romeo woke me, “You want to go and take a dip in the ocean?” He asked. “Yes, but just my feet and lower body.” “Yes, I know we can’t get our scars wet.” Romeo said like a naughty child. We went in the water and it was so nice just to cool down. When we got out, Lucas called out to Romeo. “I’ll be right back angel; the men are looking out for you don’t worry.” “I know.” Then he walked towards Lucas.
While Romeo was gone one of the kids has kicked the ball to our side and one of them was running to come and fetch it. When I looked at him, he looked so innocent and he had a lea in his hand. He walked straight towards me, I could see one of the bodyguards where already making his way down to me, but it’s a kid what harm can they do. “Sorry about that Miss.” He said. “But I brought you something.” “Oh, really and what did you bring me?” I asked him very politely. “A lea, you know everyone get’s one of these in Hawaii.” “I know thank you very much and orchids is my favorite flower.” “I’m very happy to hear that.” The boy said before he ran off. When one of the bodyguards got to me the kids where already gone, probable back into the house. “What did he want?” the bodyguard asked. “He got his ball and gave me this?” I said as I held the lea in my hand. “There is a note attached to it.” The bodyguard said. I took the piece of paper and open it; I immediately jump up and let the lea and the note fall to the sand. “What?” The bodyguard asked. I was on my way back to the house, running like I was running in my dream, running like my life depended on it. “What’s going on.” Romeo asked me as I approached him. “The the the” I couldn’t finish my sentence. “Angel calm down slowly tell me what happened. The bodyguard came running after me giving Romeo the note on the note in big letters it said “YOU CAN’T HIDE FROM US WE WILL FIND YOU AND WE WILL KILL YOU.”
