The next morning, I left while Jenn was still sleeping, I didn’t want to wake her, yesterday was a lot and I’m sure she needed her rest, me on the other hand had a lot of things I needed to sort out. Brad businesses was on top of my list. My first stop was the casino if Josh was happy there then I’m making him the manager even the CEO if I have to because he was doing a great job of handling the casino even the people were happy. When I arrived at the casino security immediately let Josh know I was there which was good, I was inspecting the whole place as I was going a long, I need to make the right decision today. Everywhere I looked I was impressed the staff was happy the casino was clean even the air conditioners in the roof were clean, yes, I look at things like that. Josh greeted me as I got out of the lift “Romeo good morning. Welcome.” “Morning Josh.” “Come let’s go to the office.” I walked behind Josh to the CEO office everything looked so clean the total opposite of how it did look when that mother fucker was in charge. “Sit sit.” Josh insisted. “Can I get you some coffee?” “That would be nice thank you Josh.” Josh popped his head out the door and ask his PA to get us 2 coffees’, even the way he spoke to her set my mind at ease. When Josh came to sit down, he asked “So what can I help you with? I did send through the Profit and lost sheets right.” “Yes, Josh you did and everything looks great, I’m very impress with what you achieved here in such a short amount of time.” “It’s not me Romeo it’s just the right motivation to the right people.” Fuck that impressed me even more giving credit where credit is due.
“Well Josh I’m here to offer you the permanent position of CEO of the casino if you would except it?” I could see the shock on Joshes face. “You serious?” “Dead serious, look what you have done to this place Josh, I made the right decision when I put you here in the first place, I want to make it permanent you are the best man for the job. Off course it will come with an extensive raise and benefits and we can talk about shares if you keep this up.” “I don’t know what to say.” Josh went on. “Say you’ll think about it or say yes.” “Romeo, you know I’m more into HR than I’m a CEO.” “I know Josh but look at what you have accomplished so far and you give praise to the people who do it. You are most definitely the right person for the job.” He looked around the office took a sip of his coffee, then looked back at me. “Okay I’ll do it.” He made me stress there for a minute. I got up and shook his hand. “Great thank you Josh, I’ll send you through your knew salary package.” “No rush Romeo.” “No, it’s something that needs to be done as soon as possible.” “As you wish.” “I have another question for you.” “I’m listening.” “Have you heard about a guy called Bayley Black.” “Oh yes, his one of the best CEO’s and I know a lot of companies wants him. Why do you ask?” “I’m thinking of getting him to run Brad’s main company.” “It will be good for business but ….” Then he stopped talking “But what?” “It’s just a man like Bayley chase money he will always go where he get’s more because he is high in demand if you want someone that will stay and not run when someone offers him $10000 more, I will go for John Dickson, his been with his current company for years but I’ve heard the owners are closing down the company. They offered him a very good package and he probable don’t have to work a day in his life again but John is not the kind of guy that can sit still he needs a challenge and I think Brad’s company is just the right fit for him.” “Do you know him?” “We’ve talked a few times yes.” “Can you get me a meeting with him please?” “Yes, off course.” He immediately picked up the phone and called John. Before I left Josh I had a meeting with John that afternoon. I walked out of the casino like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. The casino was dealt with and I knew Josh can look after the place without me looking over his shoulder he did that when we where away.
I arrived at my office early afternoon; Ricardo was in my office before I even sat down. “Hi Ricardo.” “Boss.” “What is so important I can’t even sit down first.” “Well, its our new coke supplier.” “Fuck Ricardo, I told you you should talk to Lucas about that stuff I’m done, it’s not my department anymore.” “It might not be your department anymore but its still your money.” “Fuck can’t Lucas help you?” “You sure you want Lucas to work with so much money?” “Yes, I’m sure or I wouldn’t have made the decision Ricardo.” “Fine but I don’t agree with this.” “Well, you not the boss. Now I have an appointment with another potential CEO his name is John Dickson he will be here at 3 pm.” “Oh, and the Bayley guy?” “When can I see him?” “According to him only next week he has appointments the whole week.” “You know what cancel I’m not going to let someone tell me when he can see me, I want to offer him a job, if his like this with an appointment how is he going to be to work with, nope cancel.” “I knew you were going to say that so I did tell him to fuck off but in the best way possible.” “Thank you, Ricardo, now go and call Lucas and sort out the other problem but leave me out of it please.” “Okay fine I will.
