Romeo
As we landed more nurses came to help. They put Jennifer on a bed and pushed her into the hospital, I was running next to Jennifer the whole time holding her hand as far as I could. I could feel her getting colder and colder and my heart wanted to stop I mean fuck I can’t lose her I just found her I just can’t loose her. When we got to the theaters the nurse told me “We will look after her don’t worry. But you can’t go further than this.” I wanted to fight and tell them I’m not leaving her side but I also know the longer I fight with them the longer it will take to help her. I let go of her praying I will see her again.
I was marching up and down in the waiting room when Dr. Jovi walked past, I didn’t saw him but he clearly saw me “Romeo?” He asked “Oh hi doc.” “What are you doing here?” “We where attack a guy cut Jenn in the neck; she’s in surgery not sure if she’s going to make it.” “Fuck and the blood on your shirt is it from her or you?” I didn’t even know. “Not sure.” “Take a seat.” “I can’t doc I need to be ready when they bring her out.” “Just sit Romeo you can’t do anything now, let me just check your wound.” I went to sit, I’m sure I was on auto pilot by now. As Dr Jovi was looking at my wound Lucas, Elijah and Fred came running into the waiting room. “Boss any news?” “No nothing.” “I’ll go and find out.” Fred said. “Fred I’ll go as soon as I’m done here, I can go into theater you can’t.” “Okay doc.” “You’ve torn your stitches yet again Romeo, this is not going to get healed if you are not careful.” “I think the circumstances can be taken into consideration here doc.” “Yes, off course but you can’t look after her it you have an infection it will mean both of you will be in hospital.” “That is if she makes it.” It was the first time I said those words, I was thinking them but I didn’t say them out load until now. I couldn’t believe this could be my new reality. A life without Jenn what fucking kind of life would that be. “She’s in good hands I’m very sure she will be okay. I’m going to prescribed you more antibiotic’s just to make sure there is no infection in your wound, please take them.” “I will thank you doc, now please go and find out if my wife is still alive.” “I’ll be right back.” He packed up his things and walked out of the waiting room.
“Everything taken care of?” I ask Lucas. “Yes, boss and the Villa is being cleaned as we speak when Jennifer get’s out it will be like nothing happened.” “It might look that why Lucas but she will remember everything. I think we should go back home when she get’s out. We have more men at home and we can keep her safer there.” “This is not your fault boss.” Lucas said. “It is I should have known I should have listened to my gut when it felt like something was off.” “Boss please.” “No Lucas this is my fault and I swear I will never let anything ever happen to her again. I need all the names of all known associates of Sebastian and his cousin families in the States as well as Mexico we are going to kill all of them do you guys understand me all of them, wife, children there is no limit when it comes to this.

I heard a lot of beeping, as I open my eyes there was a bright light I immediately closed it again. Then I remembered what happened the blade to my neck, Romeo sitting in front of me, Elijah and Fred storming into the front door and Lucas and a strange man storming in from the back of me. I remembered Romeo’s voice telling me to stay with him to not leave him. I open my eyes again, being so afraid I screamed “Where is Romeo?” Luckily there was a friendly face Dr. Jovi was standing at my bed, “Hi Jennifer calm down, Romeo is okay his waiting outside.” “Where am I?” I asked at one stage it should be obvious with all the white walls and bright lights but I still had to ask. “You are in the hospital you just came out of the surgery.” “Surgery?” “Yes, you have a massive cut in your neck 1mm further and you would have bled to death.” I touched my neck. “Can I see him doc please can I see him.” “Let me go get him for you okay.” “Thank you doctor thank you.”
I must have fallen asleep again because I woke up in a room, the walls where still white but the lights weren’t so bright and there was a hand holding mine but his head was on the bed. I took my hand out of his. “Jennifer, My God Jennifer.” Romeo said as I tried to touch his hand. I got up and started to kiss me on the forehead, my cheeks and a soft kiss on the lips. “Water please.” I was so thirsty. He gave me the glass and I took a big sip. “Thank God you are okay. I’m going to call the doctor.” He walked out before I even could say anything, then Dr Jovi walked in. “Hi Jennifer how are you feeling?” “Just thirsty.” “Okay you had some water.” “I did.” “The doctor that saw you in theater said you were very dehydrated when you where on the table?” “Yes, I was sick the whole day yesterday.” “Yes, Romeo did tell us we did a few blood test as well and are giving you some much needed minerals through your drip. We will tell you as soon as we have the results.” “Thank you doctor.” “My pleasure, now let me look at your vitals.” The doctor stood at the bed looking at the monitors. “For someone that had such a major surgery your vitals look good.” “When can I go home doctor.” “Jeez angel you almost died. Calm down on the going home part.” “I don’t like hospitals Romeo you know that.” “Well sorry Jennifer we are going to have to hold you here for at least 2 days depending on what your blood test says.” “Thank you doctor.” The doctor walked out of my room promising to see me later. “Are you okay Romeo?” “Yes, angel you are the only one that got hurt.” “And Sebastian’s cousin?” “His gone you don’t have to worry about him anymore.” “Thank you, Romeo.” “For what I got you in this mess.” “No, you did not but you did safe me.”
