Romeo
The weekend went by in a flash, I took Jennifer to Sinatra Italian restaurant where we had the best Italian food and we could talk for hours without stressing that someone was watching us, she actually told me that night how relieved she was that I was out of the cocaine business. I didn’t have the heart to tell her I had a meeting with a new cartel, certain things need to stay hidden that is fore sure and me meeting with them was something she will never find out. She knows Lucas and Ricardo will be handling that side of the business from now on and that is all she needs to know. There were a few revelations as well like the fact that she has never gambled before, I mean her father owns a casino or should I say she owns a casino and off course I own a few casinos and she has never gambled before. I took her to one of my casino’s I still hear her questions “So what do I do?” “Do you want to play cards, roulette what do you want to do angel?” “I have to know how the card thing works right?” “Yes, you do.” “Will you teach me at home?” “Okay then what are we going to do know?” “Play the machines come I’ll show you. It’s very easy.” We walked to the machine and I showed her how to press a button, when she started, she was like a kid in a candy store, the thing is she had luck on her side because she won a few times. Which made that she wanted to keep on playing I had to tell her she needs to withdraw her winnings before her lucked turned. By the 5th time she didn’t win anything again she withdraws her money she walked out with 3 time more than she walked in which I think is a good night on a machine.
The rest of the weekend I taught her how to play black jack but off course stripping every time she lost, which was every time because no one could ever beat me in black jack I didn’t tell her that before the time. Needless to say, she can’t play black jack because when her pants came off so did mine and we had other kinds of fun. Today is Monday and it’s the week of Jennifers bakeries opening, to tell you the truth I wished it was over already, she was much more relaxed than what she was, but I could see she was still stressing. Today I had a meeting with John which he asked for, I was sticking with what I said I was not going to get involved in Brad’s business that is all John’s but if he wants a meeting I will go. I stopped in front of the building; the security immediately came to me “Morning Romeo.” “Hi how are you guys doing?” “Much better since John is here Romeo.” “I’m very happy to hear it.” When I got to the floor where the business was on the atmosphere was so much beter everyone was smiling and talking among each other. “Oh, Romeo hello.” One of the girls said smiling at me. “Hi guys.” I said saying hello to everyone. “You all look happy?” I sort of asked said. “We are, thank you for bringing John in Romeo we can actually work again.” “Good.” So far so good, I walked into Sonja’s office and was taken a back with her new office. “Oh, Sonja wow, I like your new office.” “Thank you, Romeo, he didn’t even tell me his going to do it, his interior designer was here the one day the next day my office was done and his.” “Good so he knows people” “It would appear so.” “Can I go in?” “Yes, his expecting you.” “Thank you, Sonja.”
I walked into John’s office I was just as surprise to see how he decorated his office it wasn’t all heavy furniture and dark wood; it was light with some dark pieces but the office looks so good and even bigger. John got up from his chair and came to greet me “Romeo thank you for coming.” “John, I like what you have done with the place.” “Oh, thank you but it was my interior designer not me.” “Well, she did a hell of a job with your office and Sonja’s.” “I just thought Sonja’s office is the first you see so her office needs to be just as fancy as mine.” “I do agree with you. So why am I here?” “I wanted to go over some business with you.” “Okay like what?” “These proposals his staff gave Brad, I want to know if there is any specific reason Brad didn’t look at these.” “I told you you are in charge John.” “I know but if Brad didn’t even look at these there must be a reason why.” He gave me the folder, I open it and went through the papers, “I really don’t see any reason why he would not go for these properties they are in good spots and will do great.” “See that was my thoughts to then I started to wonder was it because he had friends that was interested in the same buildings?” “Brad is just an asshole John you do what you need to do, even if he had a friend that was interested in one of these buildings, he would have bought it just to spite them.” “Oh.” “Yes oh, his that kind of guy.” “So, I’m not stepping on your toes if I go for these properties?” “No John and if you do it’s the one that offers them the most that will get it so don’t worry.” “Thank you, Romeo I don’t want to start, buying stuff and then step on your toes.” “Don’t you worry about mine I will tell you if you overstep.” “Great.” “Well then I actually have something for you.” “Oh, what is it?” “An invitation to my wife’s bakery opening it’s this Friday I would really appreciate it if you can come then you can meet her as well.” “I will be there; I can’t wait to meet the Mrs. Bianchi.” “Well then I’ll see you on Friday.” “Thank you for coming over, Romeo. See you Friday.” I shook his hand and walked to Sonja to give her her invitation, I saw John looking at Sonja as she received her own invitation, clearly, he liked her, but I’m going to stick with, it’s not my problem.
