I couldn’t sleep after Romeo told me what was going on in my father’s businesses, was I wrong not to be apart of his business? Was the question I kept on asking myself but I also get back to the same answer, no one would have listened to me if it wasn’t for Romeo that was a strong business man and make sure he gets what he wants no matter what I wouldn’t have be able to get to all the problems in my fathers business, but now, now that I know what is going on I need to help Romeo not for my fathers sake but for the employees that works for him and because I want to help Romeo. I do understand he keeps on saying it’s my legacy my father is ruining but I never understood it because I really never wanted to be part of the business, but I’m starting to understand. It was probable 3 in the morning when I eventually been able to fall asleep but as soon as Romeo stirred next to me, I was awake. He gave me one look and asked me “You didn’t sleep, did you?” “Nope.” “Shit darling I didn’t want to upset you.” “I know Romeo but it did and I couldn’t stop thinking about the fact that I just didn’t want to be part of the business but I also came to the conclusion if it wasn’t for you none of this things would have come to light.” “No don’t say that.” “But it’s true you see how the men in my father’s company threats women what do you think they would have done to me? Boss or not.” He didn’t answer immediately he actually thought about it, he didn’t just tell me what I wanted to hear. “I see your point. Well after today everyone will listen to you of that I’ll make sure.”
Romeo and I got up and we each got ready for the day that was lying ahead of us. I was in my head the whole time just because I felt a bit responsible for what happened to the girls, I know that wasn’t rational but I did. While we were still getting ready, I heard Romeo’s phone ringing, he answered talking to Sonja my fathers PA and then he started to scream, “Get him out of there.” I walked out of the closet and walked to him “What’s going on?” “Your dad is at work.” “Sonja get security to escort him out.” He put the phone on speaker I heard her say “They don’t want to escort him out.” “Okay fine we don’t have time for his shit today but Jennifer and I will come to the office first, tell Josh to tell the people at the Casino we are moving the meeting to 10.” “Will do.” Then they disconnected the call. “Fuck fuck” Romeo said over and over. “Well, I’m ready if you want to go.” I told him. “Are you really ready for this darling?” “I have to be Romeo his not really giving me a choice in the matter.” “He really isn’t sorry darling.” Romeo walked to me and hugged me. Before I wanted to start crying because being in my father’s world was definitely not in my life plans, I pushed away from Romeo and said “Let’s get this behind us, shall we?” He just kissed me on the fore head and we walked outside.

I could see Jenn was near tears and I felt like an asshole for dragging her into this but I had no choice this is her legacy this is her, shit no, our children’s future we had to sort out. Was I really thinking of children. Fuck I was more in love with her than I thought. We walked downstairs where Lucas, Levi and Henry were waiting for us. “Morning boss, Jennifer.” “Morning guys.” “Shall we go?” I asked them “Shit I need to tell Luna about the interior decorators that is coming in today.” “I already did Jenn let’s focus on what is happening today shall we.” “Yes okay.” I could see she wasn’t happy and probably trying to delay this whole thing. We got in the SUV, all the way to her father’s office Jenn couldn’t sit still she was moving her leg the whole time, clearly nervous. I put my hand on her leg “Everything is going to be okay Jenn.” She looked at me just biting her lip. “Can I tell you something?” she asked “Off course you can anything.” “I feel responsible for what happen to the women.” “No darling no you don’t need to feel responsible at all.” “I know it’s irrational but still.” “No, you stop it the only persons responsible is the men and your father.” She leaned with her head on my shoulder, “Thank you Romeo.” “For telling you the truth? It’s my pleasure.”
When we stopped at Brad’s office, I helped Jenn out of the SUV when we walked into the foyer it was like everyone talking at the same time. I had to put my hand up and say “Please one at a time.” The senior security guard walked to me “Sorry Sir we where all just rattled this morning when Mr. Rynn came in, he gave us instructions to not let you come near him and you gave instructions to assist him out, the words he called us and then he fired all of us.” “Okay I understand and none of you are fired so you can relax. Miss Rynn and I are here to sort everything out today.” “Thank you, Sir, Miss, thank you.” Jennifer took my hand as we walked to the lift, “It’s going to be very difficult to get through to him today.” She said. “You leave him to me.” When we got out of the lift and the people saw me it was like its big sigh of relieve. Jennifer greeted everyone I was impressed that she knew everyone’s names. When we walked to Sonja she jumped up with her handbag in her hand. “I’m done I’m done Romeo I’m not working for that disgusting old man anymore.” “Sonja wait.” I said behind her. “It’s okay you go to my dad I’ll go after Sonja.” “Don’t let her quit Jenn.” “I won’t.”
I grabbed the handle of Brad’s office door and barch into his office “What the fuck are you doing here?” I basically screamed at him.
