It was the day of the opening of the new bakery, yesterday I was at the bakery a few times to make sure it all looked the way I wanted it, yes, I know I had people to do it but I wanted to be involved. When I left the bakery, everything was how I wanted it. My staff knew what was expected from them and the waiters obviously knew, I just wanted the barista’s there just in case someone wanted some coffee.
Romeo made an appointment at the spa for me for my facial, my nails, hair and make-up, so I was on my way there. Everyone I invited RSVP that they will be attending which made me very happy even the new CEO of my dad’s company which I didn’t met yet was coming. When I got to the spa the ladies took my mind of the opening with all the treatments, I felt like a new women when I walked out there, my hair was done to perfection, leaving me with big curls hanging down my back and over my shoulder, my make- up was done in a light smokey way, which I loved, my dress for the occasion was Red so my nails and toe nails where cherry red. I thought I look pretty if I can say so myself. Elijah came to fetch me and take me home where I only had time to get dressed before I needed to get to the bakery. Romeo and I didn’t talk about if he was getting me there or at home. When I got home, I saw Noah was there which means Romeo is at home, I walked into the house and called out “Honey I’m home.” I’ve been in such a good mood the last week and I was very sure my blood pressure was totally under control. Romeo came walking out of his office already dressed in his tuxedo. “Hi honey.” He said with a huge smile on his face. He walked towards me and gave me a kiss. “You look stunning.” “Thank you but I’m not dressed yet.” “You can go just like this and you will be the center of attention the whole night.” “Thank you, Romeo, but let me go and get ready.” “I’ll wait here for you I don’t know if I will be able to look at you while you get undress without doing anything.” “Fair point.” I walked up the stairs swaying my hips because I knew Romeo was still looking at me. “You are going to kill me angel.” He said from the bottom. “Me never.” I said teasingly.
I walked into the closet and found the dress that I bought especially for this occasion, I’m also sure it will be the last time I’ll be able to wear it as it was a long tight-fitting dress with a long slit at the side, there was a very small pump visible for me but I’m sure no one else will see it, or I hoped no one else notices. I grab my red Channel bag and put my lipstick in my bag, some tissues and off course my speech. I’ve learned it and should know it by heart by now but I was still worried I miss something. So, I’ve got it there as back up. I put my red high heels on and walked out the room and down the stairs. When I reached the stairs, Romeo was back looking at me as I walked down the stairs, he even took a few photos, I smiled as I walked. “We want to remember this day forever.” He said. “I’m sure we will.” I said with a huge smile a smile I had on my face for over a week now. He gave me his arm and we walked towards his office, “Romeo we need to leave.” “First I have a surprise for you.” “Oh really.” He left me at the door of the office while he walked to the safe, he put in my date of birth, yes, I know the combination of the safe then he pulled out a big jewelry box, I felt like Julia Robert in Pretty Women as he brought the box over to me. When he opened the box the most beautiful diamond necklace was in the box. “It’s stunning Romeo.” “Not as beautiful as you. Turn around.” I turned around and he put the necklace on. I touched it, “You shouldn’t have.” I said “I wanted to, go look how it looks in the mirror.” I walked to his bathroom and look in the mirror, the necklace looked stunning with the whole outfit. When I walked out, I had a tear in my eye which I quickly wiped away. “Why the tears?” I should have known he would have seen it. “I’m just so happy Romeo, you make me so happy and the fact that we saw the baby and that everything is moving in the right direction, I’m just happy.” He pulled me towards him and gave me the best hug. “You make me just as happy angel.” Then he gave me a quick kiss on the lips. “Shall we go, we don’t want your guest waiting for the guest of honor.” “Yes, lets go.”
When we got to the bakery, the only people that was there was the waiters and off course my barista’s. “Good evening, everyone.” “Good evening, Jennifer, Sir.” All of them said. “We are going to have a wonderful night tonight; you all know what to do?” “Yes Jennifer.” “Good here comes the first guest.” I walked to the door to greet Rufus and Lauren, “Good evening welcome to my new bakery.” “Oh, Jennifer we are so proud of you.” Lauren said while hugging me, then Rufus came over and hugged me “So proud.” “Thank you, guys.” Romeo walked with them to get a drink I was happy I brought my barista because Lauren got a latte. Next was Arlo, Sarah and Tom and Fergie. “Hi welcome. Come in come in.” I said. “Jennifer congratulations.” Tom said while hugging me. Every one of them hugged me and congratulated me. When they were in, I went to make sure they had something to drink when I looked at the door again a tall man was standing in the door, “Romeo who is that?” I whispered to him. “That would be John Dickson your new CEO and you know Sonja that is standing next to him, let me go and introduce you.”
