Jennifer
I woke up to a very scared Romeo looking down at me with his phone in his hand. “Romeo.” “Thank God” “What’s wrong?” “You didn’t want to wake up. I’m calling the doctor right now.” I didn’t want him to call the neurosurgeon I know what he will say, he will say I need to come back to the hospital and that is not happening so I asked Romeo to please call Dr. Jacobs, he knew how I felt about hospitals so he knew that would be the last resort for me. “Just call Dr Jacobs don’t call the neurosurgeon please.” I could see Romeo wasn’t happy but something on my face must have told him that I really didn’t want the opinion of the neurosurgeon. Luckily for me he listened and called Dr. Jacobs. The doctor said he can only be at the house at 4 pm which was fine with me and clearly with Romeo to. When Romeo disconnected the call, he asked me “Are you okay darling?” “Yes, I really am.” “You scared the shit out of me.” “I didn’t mean to.” “I know hopefully it’s nothing serious.” Romeo said. “I’m sure it will be nothing.”
Luna came into the living room with some sandwiches and Ice tea. “Thank you, Luna.” Romeo said pouring us some ice tea. I took a bite of the sandwich but wasn’t really hungry, so I put the sandwich down, I saw the look Romeo gave me so I pick the sandwich up again and took 2 bites but I just couldn’t anymore that’s when I put the plate back on the table. “Aren’t you hungry?” Romeo asked me. “Not really.” “Darling I’m really concerned about you, first you didn’t want to wake up and now you not hungry.” “I’m sure it’s nothing Romeo don’t stress about it.” “I’ll feel better if the doctor was here.” “It’s not long before he comes Romeo.” “I would have preferred it if he came immediately.” “You know and I know Doctors are busy and we are not his only patients.” “Yes, I know. The only reason why I wasn’t demanding he came immediately was because I have a surprise for you his arriving at 3 pm.” “I’m not dressed for guest Romeo and really am not up to it.” “His not a guest and you look perfect don’t worry okay.” “Okay Romeo.” I got up but as soon as I stood upright, I could feel I was dizzy again so I rather sat down again. “You, okay?” Do I tell him or do I say it’s nothing he will know if I lie to him. “I’m just dizzy.” I went with the truth. “I really don’t like this Jen, are you sure you don’t want me to phone the neurosurgeon?” “I’m sure. Would you just help me to the bathroom please.” He got up and help me of the couch. He took me around the waist and helped me to the bathroom where I checked my make up and hair and quickly did my business. When I came out of the bathroom Romeo said “I’m taking you to my office then we are there when the surprise arrives.” “As you wish.” I’m sure if it wasn’t for this surprise I might have been in the SUV on our way to the hospital. I definitely should be very grateful for this surprise. I sat in front of Romeo’s desk and Romeo behind his desk waiting for my surprise we didn’t have to wait long when there was a knock on the door and Lucas popped in. “Boss your 3 o’clock is here.” “Great send him in Lucas.”
Romeo
I was worried about Jennifer I’m sure this is not normal her not waking up, not being hungry or being dizzy. If it wasn’t for the jeweler I would have taken her to the hospital already, but she didn’t want to go and I took way too long to get her an engagement ring to begin with. We were sitting in my office when there was a knock on the door. Lucas popped in and told us my 3 o’clock was here I told him to send the jeweler in. “Mr. Bianchi.” He said as he walked into my office. “Hi Bruce please come in. This is my fiancé, Jennifer.” “Nice to meet you, Jennifer.” Bruce said to Jennifer. “Nice to meet you, Bruce.” She said as she got up. Clearly, he could see she was injured and told her to please sit down. “Please show us what you brought with you.” I told Bruce. He opened his briefcase and took out a few boxes which he opened in front of Jennifer. “Oh wow, I thought you are going to choose?” She looked at me. “No darling I’m sure you want to choose your own ring.” Bruce had all shapes and sizes diamonds rings in front of her from a princess cut to an oval, normal diamonds and then he opened the last box with a pink diamond. When he opened the box with the pink diamond Jennifer took a breath and then said “wow” I knew that is the one. “We’ll take that one.” I immediately told Bruce. “No Romeo it’s to big.” “Jenn if you saw your face when he opened that box you would understand why I said that was the ring.” Bruce looked at her and said, “Your face really said you like that ring, Jennifer.” “Can I at least see how it looks on my finger first.” “Off course.” I took the ring went on my knee in front of Bruce and pushed the ring on her finger. “Will you marry me, Jennifer?” I asked her again. “Oh my God Romeo, you already asked me.” She said smiling. “I know but that is different, Will you marry me?” She grabbed my cheeks kissed me on the lips and said “Yes Yes Yes 1000 times yes.”
