It’s the day before the opening of my bakery; I was hyped and couldn’t wait to get everything ready. I got up early and got ready by 9 am I was in the foyer ready to go. I wanted to go and fetch the 2 baristas’ as well as the cashiers to help Eva but I also wanted to see how Eleanor and the girls were doing with the cupcakes and the one thing I was stressed about was my makataan’s that I had to fly in from South Africa. Elijah was waiting with my travel cup for me, “Thank you Elijah.” He opens the door for me and we where of to my bakery. When we got there, I went straight to the kitchen. “Morning Jenn.” “Morning everyone.” I said as I walked in. “How are things going?” “Good we getting there quickly today.” “And the makataan’s have they arrived.” “Yes, yesterday already.” “Thank God I was so worried.” I walked through the kitchen looking at the cupcakes that was already done, they looked perfect. “Can I ask Elijah to drop me and the others at the bakery then he can come back to collect the cupcakes that is done?” “Yes, I will pack them so long.” “Thank you, Eleanor.”
The 2 barista, 2 cashiers and I where in the back of the G-Wagon we were cramp, they were sitting on each other’s laps. “Elijah when you drop us off will you come back and collect the cupcakes that are already ready?” “Yes, off course.” We got to the bakery, at least it wasn’t far from the other one, when we got into the bakery, Eva was there she immediately put everyone to work. “Anything I can do?” “Yes, the flowers go check them in the kitchen then you can bring them out if you are happy.” I liked the fact that Eva didn’t hesitate to put me to work as well. I went to the kitchen and saw the most beautiful arrangements and they where all wild flowers, it fitted with my theme. “Thank God for you Eva.” I said as I walked out of the kitchen with 2 of the flower arrangement. “I do what I can.” “Well, you are great in what you do.” I put the flowers in the middle of the table and went back to get the others. When I stood back and looked at the table it looked amazing. The white table cloth with the wild flowers and the white chairs. There where flowers arranged on certain spots around the front of the bakery as well. The barista made himself familiar with the new coffee machine making all of us coffees and a decaf for me off course. He didn’t ask questions about the decaf he probably just thought I prefer it. Eva and I went to sit in the corner at a table talking about tomorrow night and everything that still needs to be done at least there wasn’t a lot. Everything was basically done already. Elijah came with the cupcakes that Eleanor send over and Levi will be coming with the other car to bring more and to take the kids back to the other bakery everyone was upbeat and couldn’t wait for tomorrow night. When everything was done my makataan cupcakes haven’t arrived yet, so I excused myself and went back to the bakery. I know it could be tricky to make the makataan cupcake. Elijah stopped in front of the bakery and Eleanor came out with a box. “Jennifer why are you back?” “The makataan cupcakes didn’t arrived yet I was worried you guys were struggling.” “Nonsense here they are.” “Wonderful thank you Eleanor, see you tomorrow night.” “See you tomorrow night.” We drove back to the new bakery and I made sure the makataan cupcakes are in the fridge. Before I walked out, I made sure everything is just perfect.

It was the day before Jenn’s bakery opening. I ordered her a diamond necklace after I saw her dress I knew the diamond necklace I saw would be perfect with the dress and it would be perfect for her. I went to the office early morning to make sure everything is done and to make sure Ricardo didn’t need me for anything, I wanted to work from home tomorrow just in case Jenn needs me for anything. Since we’ve been to the new doctor, she is much more relaxed and her blood pressure has gone down a lot, which I was grateful for but I still wanted to be at home just in case she needs something. Ricardo came walking into my office “Yes what is wrong?” I asked him it was written all over his face. “Nothing” “Ricardo don’t lie to me what is wrong?” “It’s the Jalis brothers.” “What now I thought I’m done with them?” “You are but they are still in town and wants to go gamble and drink every night, it gets tiering.” “Well sorry to hear about that but there is nothing I can do about that, as long as they behave themselves and not show the snow to anyone, I’m happy.” “Oh no they won’t fuck I think I can take them on, without their bodyguard they are two very small individuals.” “Don’t misjudge them, Ricardo.” “Also, true.” “What does Lucas say?” “He said we should keep them happy.” “Well, he is correct especially after the price I negotiated.” “Fine but tonight is my last night or I won’t come in to work tomorrow.” “You can take the day off, I’m working from home, whatever happens we can sort out the day after tomorrow.” “Thank you, boss.” “Is that all?” “It is.” “Well then, I’m leaving I have something I need to go pick up. Enjoy your evening.” “You to boss.”
I left the office and went straight to the jeweler. When I walked in, the front desk sales women immediately recognized me “Mr. Bianchi, this way please.” I walked to her desk at the back where she went to the safe to go and get the diamond necklace. She laid it on a piece of red velvet, it shined so bright, I thought to myself it shines just as bright as my Jennifer. “Thank you.” “Anything else Mr. Bianchi?” “Can you custom make the bracelet that goes with this?” “Yes, off course we can. When do you want it by?” “No rush.” I gave her my card and she charged the necklace to my card then she put it in a velvet box. I need to put this in the safe as soon as I get home.
